She led him away from the pack's territory and onto a little worn path that led towards the Lake and eventually stepped off the path, opening a gap in the foliage of a thick wall of bushes. In front of them was a clearing with a tall tree in the middle that supplied a lovely amount of shade, beneath the tree, across from them was a Rock wall that went up into a small mountain face that ran into the foot hills that surrounded them, and in the wall there was an opening, a dark gap, easily big enough for at least four adult wolves.
She looked back at Tsensu, tail wagging rapidly as she watched him for a few moments. When she looked at the small waterfall the rock wall created she noted how the shade of the tree covered the deep oasis that the waterfall ran into. She trotted into the clearing, the wall of foliage she parted returned to it's original state, locking out the world behind them. She sniffed around the den and grinned. "A natural occurrence and there's never been another animal in here." she murmured, taking in the scents that swirled around the den. Earthy, alive and natural.
"This is great..." she murmured, making her way to the water's edge. The Oasis was big enough that they could swim around it freely, and their paws wouldn't reach the bottom tho it gradually got shallower so shorter creatures could stand easily in the moving water. "I think this is a good place to stop..." she murred, leaning over to nuzzle his cheek.

Tsensu stood by himsef and let Kosheart explore the area thy she had led them to. The place was quite beautiful, and in the back of Tsensu's mind he thought that this might be a great place to raise pups. It was WAY to early to be talking about that with Kosheart, he only just met her, but he felt so close to her already. "This place is beautiful." he was looking at Kosheart when he said it. He nuzzleed her back. "Why did you bring us here?"

She thought about it and she shrugged. "It's peaceful... and I yearn for peace... it seemed fitting... that and I had a feeling that the other Alpha might send someone after me and I wanted to find a safe place... and it's so bright and cheerful, surely Darkness would come nowhere near it, right?" there was an attempt at optimism in her soft voice when she spoke to him, resting her chin on his back, content to listen to the singing birds above them.

"Was the Alpha that mad? Surely she knew it was an accident." Tsensu couldn't imagine how Faiyrn would look mad, she was so happy and motherly all the time, the kind of wolf who would understand. He didn't think she would send anyone after her. And if they did Tsensu was there to back her up, he knew her story, he would gladly explain, saying how it was the darkness.
"I don't think the darkness would show up here. It seems untouched, it almost looks....holy, with it's beauty." He felt her touch on his back. "Let's have no more talk of the darkness here unless it is completely neccessary. Let's not spoil this peace we have." It was soothing to Tsensu to feel Kosheart relax for once and not worry. He loved how this place made her feel.

"No... not our Alpha... though she's strong, let me tell you. Threw me pretty good... I meant the Alpha of the pack in the Wet territory." she explained. "He was not at all happy." she winced, then she looked around at their surroundings and she took a running jump and landing in the water, with a bark of laughter that was so foreign to her it almost tickled she doggy paddled in circles, grinning out at him, "Come swim with me. The day is warm and this water is cool." she called to him.

"Oh.." Tsensu didn't know a whole lot about the other pack, or the Alpha. As far as he was concerned he had no favor of seeing them. He was quite content here with Kosheart. When she invited him to swim he got a running start before he jumped in. He aimed to jump in next to her, and when he did he made a huge splash. The noise Kosheart produced had never been heard by Tsensu before. A bark of hapiness. He let out his own bark of joy in reply to her's. "This place makes it easy to relax." Tsensu felt his muscles loosen up in the water. It was a great feeling.

She gasped when the splash rushed over her, laughing when it all rained down on them. She swam next to him and nodded. "It does make it easy... it's very... uplifting too..." she murmured, lying completely relaxed in the water so she floated. She wagged her tail at him and she looked up when a flock of birds flew over their little oasis. She frowned, watching them as they flew past. They seemed panicked... She looked at Tsensu with concern, then she said, "Let's go check out the den, okay?" and she got out of the water, shaking her fur out. The sky was getting darker and it appeared as if a storm was blowing in. Dark clouds began to swirl and thunder started to roll. She looked at him and took a few tentative steps toward the opening of the den.

Tsensu was still in the water. "But why? We just got in." He looked above and saw the dark clouds approach. He got out of the water and looked at re sky. It was soo sunny a few seconds ago..he thought. He followed her to the den, then stopped to shake his fur. He saw how worried Kosheart was. "Its just a storm, it'll pass."

She gave him a forced smile but giggled when water from his coat flecked her face. She looked around in some awe and realized the den itself was rather spacious. It smelled of rich earth and fresh water as a little pool was seen on the wall that was against the water fall. It was clean and natural and open. She smiled and looked around. "It's nice..." she murmured. she sniffed around for a few moments then she said, "Be right back, need to relieve myself," and she ran out of the den and into the grass behind it, near the wall.
She began sniffing around and when she looked up she thought she saw Tsensu disappearing into the bushes they had come through. "Tsensu?" she murmured curiously, and she followed him curiously and then, before she could stop it, a wall of shadow appeared between her and the wall of foliage.
A black female wolf with no markings and bright, golden eyes stepped out of the wall of black. Kosheart gazed at her and felt a sharp stab of pain. It was herself, from the many dreams she had where her pack had accepted her and there had never been any darkness. She watched as she smirked and watched her walk through the dark wall and into the clearing. She heard it call for Tsensu and her heart almost stopped in her chest.
It stepped into the clearing and looked around with bright gold eyes, black fur sparkling and waving in the breeze. "Tsensuuuu!" it called in a sweet voice, trotting into the den. "Look Tsensu!" it cried, spinning in a circle, looking happy and over joyed. "This place must be magical, look at me... I'm normal, I'm completely Normal!" and then it stepped closer to him and rubbed against him, nibbling his shoulder before nipping his ear playfully... It flicked it's tail so it brushed over his face as it walked past him by, then it grinned over it's shoulder, teeth bright and white and razor sharp. "Come lie down with me Tsensu.. the ground is cool and comfortable." It dug into the dirt floor a little, turned a few times and then plopped down and curled up, tail wagging.
[okay, the real kosheart says "she" and it's dark red, the darkness is an It and is in bright red.]

When Kosheart came back to Tsensu something was a little off. "Normal?" What is she talking about? Normal? Tsensu was a little uneasy with how flirtatious she was being, but he liked the attention. He started to walk towards her and almost sat down, until he noticed that she didn't have any markings. "Your fur...where did your markings go?!" Never has Tsensu see a wolf one moment, then another time with their fur pattern gone. He started to question if it really was Kosheart with how she was acting, and her fur....but it was her voice, how could this not be Kosheart?

The imposter was annoyed by his hesitancy. "I told you Tsensu, I'm normal! This place worked a miracle on me or something... like the water washed away my imperfections..." it said in her voice but strange thing was that it was completely dry. It smiled and showed pearly whites again. "Come, Lay beside me, I want to spend time with you."
Kosheart was snarling angrilly, digging at the ground and trying to step through the darkness. She pushed, shoved, bit, snarled and growled at the darkness but no avail. She was frustrated and terrified. What if that THING killed him? She howled in anger and fear, hoping he would hear her and recognize her voice. The Darkness, angy at her for doing so, wrapped a tendril of darkness around her throat and lifted her before shaking her and dropping her.

He layed next to her and looked over her lost markings. "I can't believe it! All those markings you had really had a meaning like you said, and now that you're rid of them we can live in peace without the darkness." There was butterflys in Tsensu's stomach, he was nervous for some strage reason, as of he was meeting someone new for the first time. Even when he first talked to her he really wasn't that nervous. Tsensu dismissed his nervousness, he suggested that maybe it was excitement from her attention, her flirting with him. He licked her forhead where the red heart used to be, and suprisingly got the same bitter taste as when he first licked her head with the heart. He tried to clean his palette by scraping his tongue on the roof of his mouth.

The Intruder moved closer to him and moved so part of it was laying on top of him, attempting to roll him over so it could rest on his chest, it's black tassel waving behind it. It smiled down at him and licked his neck, bright gold eyes seemed empty, even as it laughed in would be joy and happiness. "That's right, we can live safely in peace, just you and me... and maybe a family someday, like you talked about... hm?" she wagged her tail from atop him.
Kosheart could barely hear his voice... but he sounded happy. No... no please... That's not me tsensu... that thing isn't me! She looked around frantically and she saw nothing but a few trees, then she closed her eyes, took a deep breath and with a running start she started running towards a tree and with a deep thud she hit the heard on her forehead and she lost consciousness. The darkness invaded her mind and she became numb, lost, surrounded by darkness... for a few moments she was blind and could not see anything, then her vision returned, but only slightly. She was looking at the world from a different view... like being inside a machine with windows blackened and smeared with soot... the image was dim and dirty...
Her body was moving, but she wasn't moving it... this had never happened before when the darkness took hold of her, she had never been forced to watch, but there was nowhere else to look and she couldn't close her eyes because the image was still there. She emerged through the wall of shadow and stepped through the brush, and slowly, silently like a shadow, she moved just out of site towards the den.

Tsensu blushed. He was a little turned on by her flirts, but he knew it was wrong to go so fast. He held his position, not allowing her to roll him over. "Don't you think it's a bit early for that? Don't get me wrong, I really like you Kosheart, but having a family isn't a good idea when we just met." Tsensu heard a loud thud outside the den. "Did you hear that?" It was getting ready to storm, maybe a tree branch fell? Tsensu wanted to know what it was so he struggled under her until he got free and stood at the mouth of the den. He saw a shadow of something lurking further out. He couldn't make put what it was, the grey clouds blocked any sun. "Hello?" he called our to it.

The creature smiled. "Who said anything about a family... I just think it's cute when you're flustered." it murred seductively. It was getting angry now, that thud, it of course new what it was. It went to him again and murred. "It was probably just a bird hitting that tree or some thing." it soothed, paying a paw over his back and resting it's chin beside it, looking at him cutely. "Come on... it's just a shadow. Let's go back to cuddling. The temperature will be dropping soon with the storm and we can keep each other warm," it enticed.
His voice... it rang in her ears and the predator that was controlling her body turned, fell still and silent. The eyes of the beast that was her were pitch black and empty so these too were invisible to the male who had spoken. The mimic's voice was audible to her, she could hear it trying to seduce him, draw him in... What was the darkness planning? A new breed of wolf born of shadow and flesh... the image was painted in her mind, and when the shadow told her she was already a part of this plan her stomach rolled and she almost heaved... what had the darkness done to her in the time she'd been in it's control? Suddenly that disgust was gone and everything she felt was again pushed away and she was overtaken, but before she was completely gone she whispered, "Tsensu...." and the wind blew against her, carrying it to the den... Please, don't fall for her tricks... she begged silently.
