Been a while since I posted in here. I have also posted this question in the art forums as well. When you look at two peoples artwork take for example the art for Negima! Magister Negi Magi by Ken Akamatsu and Negima!? Neo whose artwork was done by Takuya Fujima you can see that they both have their own style. I am wondering how to find your own style that is special to you. Occasionally I have drawn somethings that I can say I am somewhat pleased with but those are few and far between. Please share your thoughts.

What I have learned with my art is, you can be inspired by many different people ( which I am) but no matter how much you want to draw EXACTLY like them, you never will be able to. What I do is just draw what looks right. I am still trying to teach myself to just slow down. When I draw slowly and listen to music, I am able to look at what I am doing and think. If something doesn't look right to me, I fix it until it does. I am still trying to find 'my style'. Hopefully my figure drawing class that I am taking this semester of college with help me find it.

I drew what is in the siggy ^_^

I don't want to draw exactly like them. I wish to find my own way that I am comfortable with.

No I understand. I was only expressing what I feel about my own art. It is hard to find that place that you feel is your own style. Like I said, Im still figuring that out myself.
