The girls in my band's trumpet section all have to be manly in some way. For the past few years, every girl's name in the trumpet section had "Man" in it, save for one who's name last name is Miller (but it's a brand of beer that real men drink, according to a t-shirt the trumpets found xD). They don't act incapable, but more like one of the guys.
But with pretend male genitals.

That's no fun. In my high school's marching band the section was mixed. Two of three section leaders were female in my senior year, in fact.
The only sections that weren't mixed were Sousaphones and Flutes.

I was the only female my senior year, and even though I got all the solos and first parts, the boys (who were all freshman or sophomores, btw) always made a huge joke out of me, saying I couldn't play or march as well as them. Needless to say they had to do a lot of push ups. >w>;

There's two of us who are trumpet players. All the rest of our section loves us! We don't get discriminated against. I feel bad for the female trumpet players who do get picked on by their fellow male trumpet players. We're just the same, if not better, than them.

You guys get picked on?? Some boys these days stare
Only 1 of our 5 trumpets is a girl, but her and this dude named brady are the only ones capable of actually producing music from their instruments. The other 3 suck. =P

Just your band. I am a girl, and the number one trumpet player in the school. No one messes with me, and the other top player is my best friend, he's a guy, no one gives a crap about our gender. Its the playing ability that matters!

♪♫ Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, I saw "girl" and "trumpets" and said "HWWAAAAAAAAHHH??" I really wish my band had some female Trumpeteers, because it's a total sausage-fest in my section of Trumpets. And I'd probably date one of them, she and I would have more in common than anyone else I know. OH, HOPES AND WISHES, PLEASE COME TRUE.
