Black and blue wings beat the air as Xyas flew over the snowy landscape below. He wasn't sure how long he had been flying but he knew it had been quite some time since had seen the forest floor from where he started. He couldn't stand that stupid forest where his half-sister was and all those annoying foxes. Though he had made a friend or two there, getting away from that place had been the best desicion he had made in some time.
Xyas had to admit as he looked down, this had to be the most snow the male 'phim had ever seen in one place. Had someone told him there was a place with so much snow in the middle of summer, he probably would have laughed at them. Yet here he was, trying to find a place to rest where he wouldn't freeze over night.
After a few minutes of debat in his mind, Xyas landed on a rather weak branch of an evergreen tree. The branch buckled a little under his weight and dropped a nice clump of snow to the ground, but didn't break. He wouldn't be able to stay here long with the way the tempeture was dropping. But he would have enough time to rest his wings before having to figure out what was next. Despite the cold, the white world around him actually seemed rather inviting.

Mitsuko, a loner from birth, grunted as a clump of snow dropped down onto her head. Having grown up in Kousetsu, the arctic temperatures were normal to her; she'd been napping in the shelter of the evergreen's roots.
Prepared to growl at the offending woodland creature who'd shaken the branch until it skittered away and left her in peace, Suko shimmied out of the roots and looked up into the bare branches, the sound already growing in her throat.
The sight above her made the vixen pause. Modiphims were nothing new to her, but this one was a stranger. In the back of her mind she knew she was meant to report about a new fox to Loki--or Sahari, if she was ever around--but Mitsuko couldn't summon enough motivation to get all twitchy over his presence. If he was a threat...oh well.
"Who are you?" she asked flatly, staring up at the black and electric blue male who stood out so harshly against the natural environment.

That was odd. It seemed the tree had let out a grunt... and was growling at him? No, that couldn't be right. Xyas looked down to see a two toned blue and black vixen staring accusingly up at him. It appeared she wasn't to keen on strangers.
"I could ask the same of you." He said before he could stop himself. She was the only other modifox he had seen for awhile and he wasn't being very nice to her. Then again, he didn't often care if he was nice or not. But the sun was setting and the temperature dropping. Having not adjusted to the cold climate yet, he would need a place to stay for the night and this vixen might know of one.
"I am Xyas." He said after a long pause.
