Just because student clubs are mandatory doesn't mean they can't be fun!Yes, you heard correctly: All students are required to sign their names to at least three clubs, to show their participation in the Amityville Academy Community and eventually graduate. These need not be all at once. However, we have a system here to ensure that all our students can find clubs that peak their interests, and that they will enjoy being members of: student-run clubs! Anyone can create, propose, and potentially get approved their own club. These can focus on [nearly] any subject, any idea, any notion, any common ground. There are only a few rules regarding their organization and management: In order for a club to be sanctioned, it must have at least four members, and four signatures on its application form [found two posts down].
Club battles are officially sanctioned: if there is going to be fighting going on, dice must be used, and it must follow all fighting rules.
Every club must have an official meeting room. This room takes the form of a thread in this forum. Not all club RP must take place in this thread, but it should contain all club rules and policies, and all RP threads should be linked to it and in it.
Finally, be aware that you cannot claim a club idea. We allow multiple clubs with the same idea. If people want to form six 'tap dancing mummy' clubs, and can find the members for them, have at. They can fight over their membership. To see a list of currently active clubs, continue to the next post. To submit your own club for approval...just keep going.

Club Name: FEARleading Squad! Founder's Name: Shehk Strigoi (played by demon_pachabel) and Naja (played by Miss Cherie) Meeting Location: Sports-Field outside of the school (but not in the way of other-practicing teams/etc...) Requirements to Join: Shehk and Naja will hold tryouts on a somewhat-annual basis in order to keep active-and-able FEARleaders for all school-events running smoothly and to allow for new blood to jump in every now and then. Concept/Aim/Purpose: FEARleaders help with school spirit! Club Name: Amityville Track and Field - "The Dust Devils" Founder's Name: Temes (played by Rown) & Tybalt (played by OnionGrump) Meeting Location: Located at the track field, or wherever they plan to have meetings depending on whatever they'll be working on. Location doesn't really matter since a lot of what they're doing is training and not actual competitions (for now), so anywhere is good if you can run, jump, and be generally moving. Requirements to Join: There are track team try-outs every three or so Octobers to "promote" people higher in their ranks for their specific groups ( AE: Captain of the High Jump Team, overall Track and Field Captain ). This try-out also works to bring in new students to the team as well as possibly wheedle out those who are no longer interested/can't keep their level of skill up Concept/Aim/Purpose: HUMANS AREN'T GOING TO CATCH THEMSELVES To show off the natural talents and abilities of the students at Amityville and promote RAGING COMPETITION a healthy sense of competition and unity between the students of all the different races/factions. Club Name: Green Thumbs and Ooze: The Garden Club Founder's Name: Belladonna Divine (AyeAvast) & Valen (Valandal) Meeting Location: Somewhere outside, most likely in a gazebo-type building that is covered in case of rain, but still outside. It'd be located near the student's dorms closer to the woods, but not too close. Requirements to Join: Promise not to eat the plants. neutral Display ability to properly care for even the most basic of plant-life. Concept/Aim/Purpose: The idea of the garden club is to promote learning of the plants in Halloweentown as well as their uses. Students will learn to care properly for all kinds of plants as well as learning to grow (generally harmless!) herbs and flowers. The purpose of this club is to promote knowledge as well as the importance of plants in one's life! A gang of kids who don't care about clubs, but have to be in them. Basically a slackers club. Sub-purposes may include bullying and other gang things. Club Name: Dungens & Humans Club (D&H) Founder's Name: Aymet (The Professional Prophet) Meeting Location: Officially, the Pre-Howlculus Classroom. For game nights, it's always prone to changing. Requirements to Join: One cannot simply walk into D&H club - well, actually, they can. But if they want to be a real member, they've got to actively participate in a D&H game night. Concept/Aim/Purpose: You could easily just say to play Dungeons & Humans. Beyond that, there's a larger goal of providing a club for anyone and everyone who just wants to relax in the evening and not have to worry about being teased, tormented, or stuffed into lockers. Just come to bash in the skulls of humans with +9 Maces of Humanslaying. And for those with pitiful scaring skills, there's a chance at redemption, provided their luck with dice is better than their luck with FEAR.
