Poromoko
Poromoko was surprised at how easy it had been to be a mother. All her life she had imagined it would just be a hassle, getting tied down with a brat to look after. She had loved to live fast and free, in a take no prisoners kind of way that left little room for child rearing. Relationships were fleeting and flirting with every thing that moved was fun.
And that was still true: she still very much enjoyed the company of males, the only difference being that she didn’t underestimate what could happen as a result of her fun. She also didn’t dread it as she had before having a cub.
Pooza was one of the sweetest things she had ever met. And he was her flesh and blood. He was away now, though, growing up and taking on a some of the hunting for her. He was fast and strong, and getting too old, she knew, to be stuck walking around with his mom. The leopard/cheetah hybrid would have to find his own life soon.
Poro just didn’t know what she would do without him.

Glavu
Glavu was padding along. Unlike most cheetahs, he didn’t see the need to run unless he absolutely needed to. He was a slug of a cheetah, in that way, as he simply walked wherever he needed to go. He wasn’t lazy, however, as he didn’t take time out in these walks to nap, or just laze around. He didn’t mind working hard and spending his time hunting.
He wanted to find himself a home. That was the one thing that did seem to bother the rather relaxed cheetah. He hated roaming aimlessly, and hoped to find himself a place to belong sooner rather than later.
Spotting a strange looking waterfall in the distance, it only took him a moment to realize that it was not a waterfall at all, but a female cheetah, walking alone the plains as well. He padded up to her, offering her a smile in greeting.
“Hello there.”

Poromoko
Poromoko looked up when she heard a voice, looking at the cheetah. He was dark brown and had handsome markings. She wouldn’t call them normal, as they weren’t spots, but they certainly weren’t a waterfall and cliffs. She smiled.
“Well hello there, stranger. What are you up to this find morning?” She purred welcomingly. She loved having company, after all, and she could only keep him there if she was nice to him. Which was fine by her, really, because it came very naturally to her, so it wasn’t like she was acting.
It was just her brand of nice.

Glavu
Glavu smiled softly. He didn’t seem put off by her immediately flirtatious behavior, or maybe he just didn’t notice. But that was quickly proven false, as he moved to walk beside her and pulled a move she often used: swinging his tail to touch hers as they walked.
He watched her, passive.
“I was just looking for a home, I suppose. An ongoing journey. What about you? You don’t seem to be in a hurry, either.”

Poromoko
“You’re wrong there, I’m usually running all over the place. My poor son can never keep up. Little Pooza. Though, I guess he’s getting bigger than I am now. But uh. Sorry, I babble about him sometimes.” She looked at him, wondering if he would stop talking to her because he wasn’t interested in someone who had a kid. She had met cheetahs and others like that, and that always spoiled the fun.
He just looked at her though, and she tried to read his expression. She couldn’t figure it out, however, and soon gave up.
“Anyway, I would be running, but my son is out hunting. He eats a lot more than I do, because he’s half leopard. Anyway, if I ran I would leave him behind.”

Glavu
The male cheetah laughed, nodding his head as he listened to her explain.
“Well, that makes sense. I tend not to run unless I’m hunting. I guess because I don’t have anywhere to go. You’re proud of your boy, hm? You talk about him a lot. Is he your only cub?”
He waited for her to nod before he continued.
“I had five, but I didn’t see them much, and they’re adults now. One daughter keeps in touch, and she’s a bit of a handful, but I love her. I can understand wanting to talk about your kids for days on end. Do you have a… uh… mate… then? I don’t, but I’ve been… ahh… chased off before…”

Poromoko
She laughed.
“Don’t worry about that. I’m a not strings attached kind of lady,” she bumped him pointedly, as if blatantly indicating that she was game for ‘anything’. She didn’t think she was being too forward, anyway: if he wasn’t interested he could just say so and they could go back to pleasant conversation and idle walking. She was fine with that too, so long as he didn’t get boring and fall silent.
Then she would have to just go off with some excuse and look for someone else to spend time with. “I’m surprised you have grown up cubs, as well. I guess we’re two peas in a pod, huh?”

Glavu
Glavu eyed her curiously, then rubbed against her as she pushed him.
Well! This wasn’t what he had in mind when he had first seen her, but he certainly couldn’t complain about how friendly she was. He had no intention of going anywhere in a hurry now, and he smiled at her thoughtfully. He chirped softly, laughing.
“I guess so! I am certainly glad for good company though. Do you mind if I walk with you for a bit? Or wait around for your son. Ah. You know. Whatever you were going to do today, would you mind if I do it with you?”

Poromoko
“I wouldn’t mind that at all,” Poromoko purred in response, sitting down abruptly. He nearly ran right over her, but she didn’t mind, chuckling. She looked at her and smiled, then moved to nuzzle him and indicate he could come closer to her.
Hopefully Pooza didn’t hurry back.
She sighed, and then started to ask him questions, to get to know him a bit better and just to keep him company. She laughed a lot with him, finding that he could actually be as sarcastic as she could, though he was much more droll about it. Maybe that just made it funnier.

Glavu
The male couldn’t help but enjoy her conversation, answering what she asked him and asking his own questions in return. He told her all about himself, his past, his present, and what he hoped for the future. To find a home and have a family. Simple goals, but he found hers weren’t the same. She wanted a family, but she loved to roam around, and said she would only settle in a place that let her leave whenever she wanted, for however long she wanted.
He wondered if there was a place like that, besides just staying in the Rogue lands.
The day wore on and Pooza joined them, dragging a meal much to big for himself and for Poromoko. Glavu joined in on eating and felt like he was, suddenly, having a ‘family dinner’ of sorts, though he had only just met Pooza. Hell, he had only just met Poromoko. Even so, it turned out to be one of the nicest evenings he had experienced in quite some time.
