The morning was when usually she was up. Before- she would stare at her new mother for an hour.. just watching.. and smiling softly.. She finally had one. Her wish came true. That warm feeling coming in to her.. But the morning was for duties.. and she didn't want her new family to disappear suddenly.. so she set out from under the protective wings.. and slowly trotted to the opening of the temple like cave. A bright smile looking behind her as she trotted out.
She wasn't one to boast about her new life- nor that she finally had a mother.. but there was something about this life that struck her as odd. This mommy- daddy- and child.. had wings and .. well she didn't.. and though that wasn't really important. It made her look 'not apart' of the family and she knew that. It was getting settled in to the life style before running out on it.
Walking about.. and taking heed to the ruins that she often laid about in. Rolling and bathing in the sun there.. she wanted to make it her home one day. So she went there everyday.. Early morning and watch the sunrise there. But she had to hurry! As soon as she got in range- she started to run full force in to it and jumped up the steps and slid in to her spot. Waving her tail about as she laid happily. Her eyes soft and watching as was just moments from rising..

 A pair of red-brown eyes had watched her leave and though he was somewhat reluctant to leave the warm, safe circle of his mother's wings, he was also curious about where his big sister was wandering off to so early in the morning.
He pulled himself free of feathers and limbs and, tottering towards the entrance he peered up over the lip of the cave and blinked into the early morning light. Behind him his mother stirred and he felt the touch of her mind on his, linking them. He knew that she knew he was going. Knew that she would know where he was if danger were to befall him. He grumbled softly to himself at the knowledge of this and, kicking at some sand at his paws, pushed out into the open. Once there, he spread his small, blue wings (flying still eluded him) and moved out across the desert, following in his sister's footsteps. When she broke into a run it was more difficult to match his paws to her own. Impossible, in fact, for her stride was bigger than his and he was forced to give up and make his own prints in the sand, much to his annoyance.
Even still, it did not take him long to find her and he paused, hanging back to see what had stirred her. Nothing, it seemed.
Nothing at all.
He scrunched his little nose and sat heavily in the sand, tilting his head to the side as he regarded her.

[color=salmon]When the hill came in to view she stopped. CLosed her eyes for a moment. She wished.. she used to wish on anything- and even still now she wanted to just wish.. and wish to her hearts content. Then watched as the sun started to come up.. her ears pinned back as she watched.. starred even. "Beaut-" Then stopped clean before a smile crossed her face...
"Are you gunna stay back there forever?" She let off a soft giggle. Then turned. "Come on, watch the sun come up with me Khaldun." Her eyes closed and her smile wide.. she didn't know that he was falling her all the way out.. but she was happy. Unlike her real brother. It was hard to get him to watch or even play with her.. but Khaldun was different.. and wasn't her brother. But she tried as she might to make them siblings- to make the goddess of confusion's family her own. But everyone knew.. she just didn't fit in. Especially when they saw them altogether.
She was.. a mortal. But even despite that she didn't want anyone to tell- and their comments were kept to themselves. Her 'mother' had beautiful children and the girl didn't have wings! So it was like she could maybe fake? But that wasn't likely.. but Khaldun believed it- and so did her 'sister'. Right?
