Professor Hellma Shox (Headmistress)

Gender: most likely female

Age: VERY ******** OLD
Amityville Alumni remember her showing up around 50 years ago, but some of the Halloween Elders remember a very different, yet similar Hellma Shox teaching at the school hundreds of years ago.

Faction: Monster

Personality: She dislikes pretty much everybody, but some more so than others. The academy is the most important thing in her life, it's something she's nurtured for years. Hellma is a die-hard patriot and she feels that the school's success is vital to the future of Halloween. Even when class is out of session, you can still hear the "click-click" of her little shoes stalking down the hallway, as she patrols the school like an irritable Napoleon.

In the classroom Professor Shox maintains a healthy balance of immediate physical punishment and more long-term forms of public humiliation. Her personal favorite would have to be the "Princess Corner."

She has a definite and fairly demanding sweet tooth, which, to her shame, can't be satisfied by the treats and candies of Halloween. It's a secret she holds close, but most of the staff are aware of this weakness and the value of smuggled contraband from Christmas and the Human World when it comes to getting into her good graces.

When visiting the human world herself, Hellma likes to watch human sports, especially the violent ones with rowdy fans that dress in paint and costumes.

She sometimes speaks in strange accents, please ignore it.

-Shadowcraft Master: Shadowcraft is the ability to shape and manipulate ones shadow. It's not limited by species, and full Mastery at Professor Shox's level allows one to use their shadow as a full and physical extension of themselves.

Professor Red (Gym Teacher)
Roleplayed by Marushii

Full Name: Unknown.

Gender: Female

Age: Adult, somewhere between 20 and 30.

Faction/group thing: Monsters - Werewolf

Personality:
Confident and reliable, Red lives up to her street cred: once she catches the scent, it was only a matter of time until she acquired her target. She human world, once Red gets her target she’s on the case. She had a relatively successful career until recently signing a contract to teach at Amityville Academy, using her skills to train and hone students in the arts of physical education. Due to budget reasons, she’s also a school counselor, student-catcher, and battle referee.

Despite her reputation, Red rarely lives up to the image of a serious, relentless predator. Her stellar record has its own share of troubles: from bribes to turning in the wrong target to using unnecessary force, all Red honestly cares about is having fun. And by having fun, she means that she is having fun, not you. She has plans to petition the headmistress for several hoops that can be lit on fire again and again, and to turn the football field into a shark tank.

If asked, Red will not share information about herself. It’s up to debate as to whether or not Red is even her true name! She rarely speaks about herself outside of retelling a modified version of one of her previous exploits, preferring to let her reputation speak for itself. Even if said reputation includes her inclination to being lazy, loud, and her preference to be in her shapeshifted form rather than her humanoid.

Fear:
xxxxx• The Beast Within - (Battle): By manipulating her own FEAR, Red can "enhance" her natural werewolf form. As to whether she is now half draconic or half demonic is debatable, however there is no question concerning her extra strength and attack power. Shifting to this form DOES have its drawbacks, however: the vast amount of FEAR needed to jolt her natural wolf-form into this form leaves her quite tired and weak. This is a powerful, last resort finishing blow.
xxxxx• Werewolf Form (Out of Battle): Shifting in and out or her normal werewolf form is as natural as breathing to her. While her strength and agility does not change, Red prefers to battle in her werewolf-form as opposed to her more humanoid solely because it looks cooler. She has trained this ability to the point where she is just as dexterous with her claws as she is with her hands.
xxxxx• FEARweaving - Net (Out of Battle): A skill she masted as part of the Bogeymen, Red can manipulate FEAR to create a net. These nets are stored in a magical Reaper-made bracelet. She can store up to three nets at a time, and create one to three a day. These nets are used to immobilize her targets which usually consists of students skipping class. When a net is used, she must dedicate time to weaving another one. Weaving can take anywhere from one to three hours, as magic does not come naturally to a monster such as herself even after years of practice.
xxxxxxxxxxTo use: Red rolls one 20-sided dice. Her target generates a number between 1 and 15. If Red rolls higher, she catches her target. If her target rolls higher, she misses. The difference in rolls is due to Red's experience of being a Bogeyman prior to joining the staff at the Academy.

xxxxx• Shapeshifting: A werewolf can turn into either their full wolf form of bipedal wolf form compete with hand-like paws. A werewolf can speak in any of their forms thanks to FEAR. When a werewolf is outside Halloweentown, they can only shapeshift under a fullmoon. They also lose the power to speak in their wolf-form until the return to Halloweentown.

Arel (Secretary)

Age: (He looks like a Y1) Is actually SUPER MATURE AND OLD.

Species: (Frost) Demon, but commonly mistaken for a reaper.

Job: After relinquishing his position as librarian, he just mopes around the school office doing secretarial 'errand boy' duties. Sits around in the office and gets called special snowflake by passing staff.

Descrip: Arel is your average frost demon... sort of. Other than a (small) vertical height issue, and a tendency for students to bowl him over in the hallways, he spends his time doing all sorts of important tasks: knitting, folding paper airplanes, approving Enrollment forms, and giving detention to students whenever he feels like it, and can get away from it. Personality is best explained as a really spiteful old grandmother who just happens to be a short ice demon.

Occupation: Other than secretarial duties, if the Town Hall (and sometimes Headmistress) has a message for the school, he's the one. If there is some sort of announcement of festivity, he is supposed to be the one who has to spread the newsletters, and announce the event, outside of school clubs, which he refuses to touch. Ever. He hates talking, he hates announcing, and he'd just rather sleep curled up in the P- T mystery/sci-fi section of the library next to the comfy swirling book rack. Whines when he's asked to do anything.

Why is he tiny? You would be too if you were so cold all the time. He might have a sizeable amount of Fear, but it doesn't mean he doesn't suffer from the repercussions. Apparently this isn't his true form, its actually really awesome. Whatever makes him feel better...

His Fear: Supposedly a master of most Frost spells. Has yet to use them recently. Does he really have a Fear attack? Is also relatively good at healing, despite all best efforts not too.

Weakness: If you expose him to too much heat, he will start to melt. Literally. While after a while with the correct room temperature (he might be the reason the school halls are always so cold) he will reform back again, if someone were to stick him in the Sahara, they would be left with a puddle and some clothes. A very angry puddle and some clothes.

Frostbite: His generic signature attack. Spreads a layer of cold frost over the ground, trapping his enemy in place and immobilizing them temporarily (the effect is immediately broken if anyone attacks the frozen target)

Snowstorm: His strongest attack, an area of effect attack (AoE, affects more than one person within a certain radius) that pummels the target(s) with an intense relentless snow, ice and wind onslaught, capable of stopping opponents in their tracks. Effect is neutralized unfortunately if you're a frost demon yourself (or a yeti).

Shapeshift: Turns into a very tiny ice wyrm/dragon (about 1 1/2 feet long). Actually kind of useless.

Professor Pyre Byrn

Gender: Female

Age: Never ask a womans age! ]<

Faction/group thing: Monster - Phoenix

Personality: Quirky, she can sometimes be seen as eccentric in her own right. She shows no fear to dealing with large and unruly monsters, so she really knows no fear with large and unruly students either. She has a fiery temper, but she also has a fiery passion for her job and even contrary to popular belief, she wants her students to succeed.

Fear: She can set her body on fire, without burning herself. She can pick and choose who her fire burns. (So unless she WANTS it to burn you...it wont. THINK PONYTA; WHO SAW THAT POKEMON EPISODE BACK IN THE DAY?)

Ability: She can transform into her true form ( a large bird), and she can fly. If something happens to her instead of 'dying' she turns into a pile of ash. Maybe a hour or so later she is 'reborn' even though its back to adult form (and shes totally pissed off). Also she can manipulate fire and as a phoenix, she has some healing abilities too.

Position: Staff - Teaches Creature Feature class. Familiars etc.

Gender: Male

Age: Appears to be in his mid 40s?

Faction/group thing: Demon/Fey - Wild Hunt

Personality: Impatient, cranky, with a low tolerance for children, lives for the hope that one of them will need 'tracked down' by him and returned to the dorms. He talks to very few people and only a few people get more than a few words out of him, he speaks quietly and seems to have a crush on the Care of Magical Creatures teacher, but that hypothesis stems from the fact that he'll stash her neatly in an ash tray when she combusts.

Fear: Breck summons a trio of ghostly hounds with glowing green eyes and bright red ears, the rest of the hounds are a misty and translucent white. The hounds track his 'prey' and help him find other 'lost' things about the grounds.

Position: Grounds keeper, occasionally teaching assistant for those who need a hand.

Role: A free floater to help keep students in line, likes to assist Arel do stuff certain frost demons tend to be negligent over.

Professor Petrousek Nicodemus Cadmus
Roleplayed by Strait Jacket Girl

Gender: Male

Age: He wont tell

Faction: Reapers

Personality: Cadmus LOVES plants, no way around it. He comes from a family of reapers that dealt more with the herb and plants (Botany) aspects to magic, not to say that that they all are nearly obsessed with plants and potions cause there have been a few that stood out and found there way being more on the reaper side of the spectrum and not the Magic, One being his father. Cadmus often mumbles to himself deep in thought about plants and the next thing he plans to deal with in his plan of never ending learning. He loves experimenting and prefers hands on activities. He's mainly an introvert, though he can be social, he just feels off around others because he often will get swept up in deep thought and begin muttering to himself. In addition to his love of plants he has a fascination with the enchanting items and manipulating inanimate object via enchantment, the only downside being that it does last forever...

Fear: It is a mystery.

Professor Audley Grimm

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Faction/group thing: Reaper/Witch

Personality: Audley comes from a long line of successful reapers and witch/warlocks. Almost like Godfather/mobster family. She would almost prefer to be just a reaper, but her family's magical abilities is what gets them respect. She cares strongly for her family members, but also wants to be an individual. She's thoughtful and somewhat quiet, but with a wicked wit and a sharp tongue.

Fear:
Battle Ability: Audley has some fantastically creative and effective curses, hexes, and spells that she can cast. However, she has to be careful as a number of them can have a negative effect on her as the caster. Greater amounts of fear can boost the effects of her spells.
Outside of battle: Because of her witch blood, Audley can use a broomstick to fly, if she needs to.

Ability: Strong magical ability. Especially good with creative curses and hexes. A few of her original ones have been added to the text books since she graduated. An equal or greater number have been banned from school property.

Position: Part-time Professor, could be a Battle Referee, Private Tutor/Trainer

Role:Audley would be great as a tutor for Reaper students or Witch/Warlock students who are struggling. She's rather young, almost just out of school herself. She know's what it's like, because she's been there. She probably could teach a class on spells, curses, and hexes, or assist other professors in their classes.

Professor Torhild Savage

Name: Professor Torhild Savage
Nicknames: unknown right now. I'll leave it up to other rpers to appoint her one.
Gender: Female
Age: Early 30's

Faction/Race Monster - Leviathan

Personality: Savage is a sea lover at heart and tends to have a one track mind at times when she is teaching her favorite part of human history. Boats.

But deeper then her love for the sea and her love for boats, and sinking them; Savage is an independent woman who can be a bit out going and a little cut throat at times. The professor is the type to always charge forward first and then maybe think about planning after the deed is done.

To put it simply. Savage is the type to be like "I don't care I'm gonna do it any way!" even if at times it doesn't seem completely fair. She is a fire cracker of a red head even if she is a water monster. Get in her way and she'll throw a fit and possibly bite you.
Teaching wise, Savage is the type to be passionate about a topic that personally interests her yet when a topic does not interest her its clear. The topics that are boring to Savage tend to get the most home work for students to do on their own while the topics Savage loves tend to get more in class time.

What do they do at Amityville Academy? WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S IC JOB: Teaching students all about human studies through what is known about the human history.

FEAR: Boiling water spills from Savages mouth and burns her victim. Savage has mastered her fear to the point she can make it luke warm and brew tea with her water.

Natural Ability:
invisible squirt gun. She can point at a student and conjour up water like a squirt gun. This is what happens to students who fall asleep in her class. ((STOLE THIS FROM YOU MARU biggrin D D))

Age: Really Old

Faction/group thing: Undead - Vampire

Personality: Dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Would really like to retire (maybe) but sticks around because damnit, no one else could do as good a job as he does. Has very high expectations and doesn't really suffer fools at all.

Fear:

Cloak of Night: Aedelmin can fade from sight, rendering himself invisible to observers. It works best if he's out of sight already (glancing away and then he's not there anymore, or anywhere around), but he can also fade away while under direct observation. As long as he takes no action to draw attention to himself, he remains undetectable to sight.

Ability: Stealth/Seeming Invisibility

Position: Staff; Professor

Role: Teaches stealth classes; currently the beginner's level of learning to blend into your environment. Would really prefer to teach advanced again, but complained a few too many times about students not understanding the fundamentals.

Cricket (School Nurse)

Gender:Female

Age: Been dead a while, 30+ years at least.

Faction/group thing: Ghost/...Glowy thingie.

Personality: Cricket isn't going to feel utterly sympathetic for your plight. She also won't feel guilty if your own efforts to stay alive don't really work out. Certainly she'll give you a little starting push if it's needed, but she's a believer of 'survival of the fittest', so if your arm fell off...

sit down, drink some water, and she'll get out the centipede-fear-vomit to maybe hold it back on. Need a painkiller to go with it? Suck it up and just keep some ice on that for the next week. What? She already shoved it right back on?

Then why are you bitching at her?

Certainly Cricket doesn't go out of her way to make you hate her if that's what happens, she simply isn't going to give anybody preferential treatment for any reason. This may also be why she doesn't exactly keep a lot of company to her name.

Either that or the creepy-crawlies she tends to attract.

Whichever.

She would also prefer if damage control came to her, but if she -must- leave her office, maybe she can be bribed with something or other... though not a lot of physical things appeal to her.


Fear: What makes them tick? MAGIC VOMITTING GLOWIPEDES. Basically using her fear as fuel, her centipedes can vomit out a phlegm like substance that can patch up a good variety of wounds. She's gotten adept enough at this to be able to handle a decent-sized student-body... but not if they all get dismembered at once, then it's first-come-first-serve and everybody else has to tough it out until tomorrow.


Noxious Bile
On the other end of the spectrum, with the fear fed into her centipedes becomes noxious, turning the glowing crawlies around her wrists into stiff rings which secrete poison on contact. It takes a lot of fear for this to be deadly, so unless she's trying to off you from the start, it won't kill most.



Ability: Futz with her own solidity (Enough to walk through walls and make physical contact when it's required of her. Not enough to go 'I AM A ROCK, BIATCH' and sink to the bottom of a lake.)

Position: Staff; Nurse (helloooooooo nurse!)

Role: Either creating sadists out of the student body or at least making sure the school doesn't send anybody home in three pieces to whine to mummy and daddy.

Professor Winter

Name: Ms. Winter
Nicknames: Nicknames are childish at best, and reserved for the ignorant.
Gender: Female
Age: Mid-late 20's, early 30s at best.

Faction/Race Demon.

Personality: To the masses, Winter appears as a no-nonsense dignitary, bent on breathing a sense of class into the filth that seems to be strewn endlessly about Amityville. While this is true, for the most part, she actually takes great enjoyment in having a good time. She lives more along a "do as I say, not do as I do" code. Not that she's about to go out and get shitfaced. She'll leave that to Red the uncouth simpletons.

She also loves chocolate. If you want to get into her good graces, this is a particularly easy way to get there. A chocolate a day keeps the bodyguard away (see FEAR).
What do they do at Amityville Academy? WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S IC JOB: Teaches a finishing course that touches on racial cultures.

FEAR: Winter's fear is simple. She has the ability to summon an apparition to do her daily bidding (a demoness of her stature isn't meant to get their hands dirty). This apparition is a rather large, and intimidating looking gentleman who fights any and all battles for the demoness. Winter also finds him to be an adequate means to keep classes in order.


Physical Description: Winter is a tall, 5'9" in height (generally with an addition handful of inches when you add in her high heels). Slender and toned. Everything (she believes) a good demon should be.
Eye Colour: Yellow/gold
Hair Colour/Style: Generally worn in a wrapped braid around the back of her head, when it's let down it falls to about the small of her back. Winter's hair is a dark purple (link because I couldn't think of the name of that purple ;; ) and it ringlets at the ends.
Skin Colour: Light blue
Clothing Style/Colours: Blacks are her general calling for clothing choices. She's an advocate for knee-length pencil skirts, with the top varying on whatever the latest clothing trend seems to be.
Extra: She has pointed ears, small fangs, two bull like horns coming from the top of her head as well as batlike wings and a slender, arrow-head tipped tail.
