Week before - Day 1
Ray walked out onto the patio. It was a week before he was to fly over to Italy to join the Torres family with his cousin. He had been given the money to stay at a hotel for the last week, and buy whatever he needed, whether it be clothes or food. But he mostly but been and whine, he didn’t really feel like doing much, especially after what he’d went through in the past few weeks. He’d just been released from the hospital. But he had a very special gift of rapid haling, due to his flame, with is lightning, he was to be the defense of the family, one to take all damage done to the family, with his own body as the shield. Although he still wasn’t sure about what it meant to be a Guardian, and use the dying will flame. He sat down in his lawn chair, coke in his right hand, as he looked out over the beach, which he’d never had the privilege to look at without being on it himself. It was definitely interesting, as he watched the people having fun. Playing volley ball and beach soccer. He noticed a bunch of kids swimming out a bit to far, but the life guards were not even paying attention. Of course he tended to think that life guards were over played anyway. He brought up his drink and took a sip, as he went back to the memory of Kai in the hospital. “Are you ready to have that second chance, join my family and become stronger. And have a family to feel the burden along with you.” Ray wasn’t sure if what he implied was actually going to help him, but now that he’d been told he could get stronger, and one day take revenge on the man who killed his Girl, who he loved deeply, he was certain that he could do it without many questions. He finished his soda in one more gulp, and put it on the table with the other three he’d had in the past hour, he was obviously very bored, as it showed with the amount of time he sat there, just watching the kids. On the beach. He started dosing off after that. The next thing Ray knows, the phone is ringing. So ray gets up and heads over to the phone going into his room, he grabs the phone and recognizing it to be the number kai had given him, he answered. Then walking over to the fridge he listened to kai speak. “Sorry to interrupt you nice day of relaxing, however I wanted to make sure I made an effort to explain more in depth, what is going to be happening when come over to Italy. Once you’ve gotten here, you will go under extensive training to discover how to use, you dying will flame, and how too use it and become stronger through vigorous training. You will become stronger, and be respected among the mafia as a member of the Torres. Once this training has begun, you will have already gained the strength, that a normal human being could not even touch you. Well that’s all I have to tell you for now.” Ray hung up the phone. He had ice cream in his hand. Although now he was processing this in his head, it sounded good to him. Now all that was left was to get there. He walked out onto the patio again ate the ice cream and fell asleep.
Ray woke up in the dark, his mind wondering, sweat was dropping from him, but it was different, he was on the patio at night, and the cold air made it feel better the a hot sweat feeling. He stood up and grabbed all his cans to bring inside. After putting all of it in the trash can, he went and locked the patio door, and then grabbed a mid night snack. Outside he could hear gun shots, and yelling. Later he heard a crash outside that scared the crap out of him. But he blew it off and watched the tv for a few minutes, then he dosed off and went into a dream. Although what his cousin told him, still bugged him a bit. Ray woke up at 8 in the morning. Feeling slightly better then the day before. He got up and made his bed, then he walked over and made some eggs and milk for breakfast. Although he’d been hungry, what he really wanted was to start working on some projects and designs for future weapons and such. He could come up with anything if he put his mind to it. He grabbed a soda and sat down at his desk, some paper already out. He started working on a design for a three bladed glove, and from that he perfected an idea of how he could use the energy to make it better. Although still unsure on what he would be doing, and how the power would work. So he decided that after his training in Italy, he would continue his design. So then he locked up, grabbed another soda and left to grab something to use for a weapon when he got there, no fighter walked into a battle without something to defend themselves. At least not a smart fighter. He walked a few blocks, and found a weapons store, although when he looked around, all he saw that he would be capable of using were some knives, so he bought three of them. Then he decided that he would need to train with them before hand. So he bought a dummy and some targets. He then decided to head back to the hotel, and get some training in before tomorrow. He noticed a note on the door and grabbed it as he walked in, he set it on the table and locked his door before setting up his training stuff. He took out the knives and started throwing them at the targets, although not very good, he at least got them on the targets in the first place. After a couple hours he started hitting the middle more then, showing a little improvement on his part. Then once he felt comfortable with throwing them, he started working on the handling of defense and close combat with the knives, then plain old hand to hand combat. He was determined to get better. After a while he fell asleep on the couch and would be very tired and wake up around ten in the morning this time.
Ray woke up, his muscles hurting, very tired. He walked over to the fridge and grabbed some milk and drank it all in a few gulps, as he walked to the trash can he saw the letter that had been on the door, he picked it up and opened it as he grabbed a soda and walked to the couch. He looked at the letter and noticed that it was a service desk letter, but the page had part that shouldn’t be there. He pulled it to see that it was a whole other note. It was from Kai. It read: “Ray, It’s Kai, things have changed since I last talked to you, they have found out about you and are looking for you. There is another note at the service desk, in the same style as this except there is a map and instructions on what to do, pack your things and leave at 11 in the morning or sooner.” He noted that it was 10:30, so he packed and ran out the door, although very much wondering what this was all about. Could he be in danger? Ray got to the counter, got the note from the clerk, and ran out.
Ray came out of the hotel and opened the note, it looked like the map was telling him to head for the airport, it had a one way ticket to Italy inside. Suddenly a blast occurred and the hotal he was in went down in flames, it looked like sky flames. But he looked at it, almost freezing, but now understanding his danger, he ran for a taxi. A little bit after he was at the airport. He made it in time to catch the airplane and be on his way to Italy. When he got there, there was a limo waiting for him. He got in and they started for the Torres Mansion. The driver said that the boss had been expecting him. Said that he’d received word the day before that a rival family had intercepted a message concerning your whereabouts. So in hopes of saving you, the boss sent for you. He hopes for you to start your training tomorrow after you’ve had a good nights sleep. Ray nodded to him, knowing that he needed to get to it.
He got in the mansion, and after having a look around he went to his room, which had been pointed out by the butler. He slept off the airplane ride and would wake up at 12 the next morning. After eating he decided it was time for the training.

The person started explaining the fundamentals of Dying Will Flame, and once Ray understood this, the man started to explain the box weapons at which he at his disposal, and only worked with special ring energy. This intrigued Ray, he decided to leave Ray to himself to train on his own, and gave him a box weapon. Ray opened his box weapon after a few try’s and it was a Scythe with the name of Kakashi. Using the new found weapon and abilities, he started to learn how to use kakashi and his dying will flame in conjunction with each other. Ray lost a lot of energy, but one he figured out how to control his weapon, he started using is knives, and eventually came up with an attack with the knives, and then later did the same with his scythe. Ray sat down for a while and called his cousin, who told him he’d be at the house in a few hours. And they would probably be having company over; he said something about sworn brothers.
