Wivian had just returned from her naming quest. It was something to definitely get used to, being called by her new name, and introducing herself with 'Wivian' instead of 'Wila.' But that's what needed to be done, so she was doing it.
Her family had been overjoyed to see her return so soon compared to her other siblings; some weren't even back yet. She saw Myath--though she couldn't really call her sister that any more, now--and they had chatted a little about their adventures.
But now that she was back, Wivian wasn't entirely sure of what to do anymore. She had asked her mother, but Salima had only smiled at her.
"I can't tell you what path you must choose, dearest," her mother had said.
Wivian grumbled a bit at that. Her mother could be helpful one minute and then completely silent the next, all the while grinning as if she was doing something totally innocent.
So now she was left to wander, on her own, around the pride's lands to see if she could find something to keep her occupied. She had found a few pretty stones that she carried around in her mouth. And when she found too many to carry, she decided to find a safe spot to hide them in until she could return with more, and then take them back home.

The humidity was thick in the air that afternoon, and Zuura could feel it sticking in his throat. His expression seemed more sour than his mood that day, because really, he wasn't entirely irritated or annoyed with anything--more that he was displeased with the weather, displeased with how the ground felt under his paws, and was displeased that he hadn't been getting very good sleep for the past couple of days. Even now he was about to attempt sleep once more, for he was on his way back to his sleeping area. Of course he could've just lied down anywhere, but he didn't want to. That would've been...strange.
On his way to said sleeping area, Zuura noticed something blocking his immediate path in the distance. There, standing between two separate areas of trees (in other words, in his direct path), was a small-ish lioness.
Pausing in his steps for a brief moment (perhaps out of an odd sense of confusion as to what action to take since something was blocking his path), Zuu examined the young girl from a distance, and then resumed his walking. Maybe if he just...squeezed by her in silence, he wouldn't be seen and he could just...get by...
...Unnoticed...
Unfortunately for Zuura'rju, as he grew closer and closer, that plan seemed impossible.

There just so happened to be a particular bright and large stone hidden in the roots of one of the two trees she had stopped between. The frustrating thing about it was that the stone was really buried, and Wivian was so busy trying to dig it out (it was caught at a very odd angle and it was entirely too difficult to reach with two paws, so she had to rely on one at a time) that she didn't notice that she was no longer alone.
Seconds later, she heard foot steps, and she glanced behind her. Wivian spotted the purple male almost instantly--how could she not? He stuck out just as badly as she did.
"Oh, hello!" She greeted, standing up a bit straighter instead of crouching down around the object of her troubles. She didn't realize at all that she was currently standing between him and his salvation of sleep. Wivian naively didn't even realize how tired he looked.
Otherwise, she surely would have let him pass. Of course.
But no, Wivian was too busy trying to dig up the rock to see the lines under the male's eyes and how exhausted he looked.
