The sky was bright and filled with wonderfully fluffy looking clouds; Seija had decided to take shelter below her usual tree near a small pond, has-been lake kind of deal. She yawned loudly and shrugged it away with a heaving sigh of relief. “Beautiful day for a lay down and relax.” Seija spoke in a calm mumble and let her head basically flop to her paws and she began to close her eye’s before a black spot wandered smoothly towards her watering hole.
Moema was heaving in deep breaths and calling herself insane again and again. She was mumbling little phrases of hate to herself as she creeps up on the watering hole. Even with a breeze she was smoldering, finding the day almost unbearable with her pelt. Before she dipped her head to drink she saw a lioness nestled comfortably beyond the watering hole. “Hello there.” She said warily.
“Hi.” Says Seija with a smile, females were the best to deal with on any occasion though this one seemed to be in a bad way with the heat and all, having a black pelt she understood this as well. “You’re welcome to join me here?” She offered casually, taking notice of the species as well. She hadn’t met to many leopards, none actually. First meetings were usually good ones, so long as their name wasn’t Pyaodee.
“Would be much appreciated.” She smiled fondly and dawdles on over to the shaded area with a bit more of a saunter than before. Once there she settles down and yawns in contentment. “So this is why we have trees.” She said casually making conversation happily.
“Yeah, to keep us dark pelted cats alive!” She joked in return and laughed softly, a chyme rang in her voice when she spoke and she seemed a bit livelier than before. “Sleep is upon us it seems, silly heat taking over our live in a way.” Seija was slowing returning to her sleepy motion before. “Perhaps a nap, then food?” She stared at the complete stranger then closed her eyes as she witnessed the other do the same.
“That sounds wonderful.” She stated after finishing a good chuckle at the good and then pursued a comfier position to rest in, she curled up a bit tighter then was out like a light, both of them were. Sleeping the day away was what kept Seija and Moema going it seemed.
As the day went on and they slept it began to cool down, The temperature drop woke Seija slowly and she became aware of how nice it had become since they’d fell asleep. She stirred slowly and gawked at Moema whom was still asleep and very weirdly.
Moema, who fell asleep like a ball, had managed to uncoil herself and twist in a half stomach, half back laying position, fore paws dangling limply in the air and back paws on their side on the ground stretched out, as majestic as her butterfly wing marking looked, this was enough to make Seija rejudge her and began bursting into laughter, this laughter woke up Moema. “What-…?” She shifted and pulled herself out of her sleeping ways.
Seija was laughing to hard to answer the leopardess. She simply rolled to her back and lunged her hind legs to the air and heaved breaths of relief as it finally came to an end. It was then she realized she didn't quite understand why that was so funny and she smiled to the leopard. "You bring out the laugh in me leopardess!" She remarks happily and sighs. 'For now we'll rest more, then hunt if you want, easier in pairs.. like i said before." She smiled.
Moema was sarcastically glad she could make this lioness smile so much and she smiled back in an almost hateful way, but knew to get a great meal she should stick around here a while. "Oh, and my name is Moema." She said slowly, unsure of whetehr or not they should become so close, but meh, what could really happen.
And so they lay there for a bit longer and eventually caved and went hunting, the night becoming their hunting grounds.
