The small snakelike beast slithered steadily through the expanse of the restaurant. It was Monday, therefore meaning that Venus and Mercury closed the building early [neither of them seemed to enjoy Mondays] for the sake of sitting around and talking and drinking wine, an activity that Ramiel heavily disapproved of. However, he had been sated when Venus had retrieved an insulated, close-able bottle and made a fancy coffee that had more sugar than caffeine in it. This was what Ramiel both chewed on and drank out of as he played hide-and-seek with himself throughout the restaurant, half-listening to a conversation about boyfriends and celebrities and other things that were as vile as the wine and frowned upon just as much by Ramiel Okelani.
He moved toward the front door, currently unlocked and propped open just slightly, awaiting a sheepie male to come through it. Coincidentally, the man was both Mercury's boyfriend and the brother of one of Ramiel's other favourite people in the world, second only to Venus - Jacob. Yet, sad for Ramiel, Jacob wasn't the one coming over today, just his brother Bailey. Quietly staying indoors, a luxury for him, he gently pawed at the bells that alerted them of customers, perking Mercury almost immediately before the snake frowned, telling Ramiel to stop making noise. Hissing angrily, Ramiel glared and held tighter to his coffee before slithering away beneath the tables once more.

The dainty, rosy-haired girl slipped into the restaurant, eyes wide as they glanced around the new place. This really was her first time going out on her own since moving in with Ms. Sommerset, so naturally, she was nervous. Little yellow hands gripped her small change-purse nervously as she hung by the front door, glancing around. No fish in sight. Good. The preteen chewed on her lip, shifting her weight as she examined the place. She'd never been in a restaurant like this before...maybe she should go home. Yes, Ms. Sommerset had taught her proper dining etiquette, but....what if she got it wrong? What if she offended someone and got into trouble?
Raili cleared her throat, her soft voice raising to be heard above the idle chatter. "U-um, excuse me....?" she asked, her little voice wavering as she hid behind the large sleeves of her sweater. "C-.....can I get a table, p-please? If it wouldn't be too much trouble." Her, nervous? Nah, what gave you that idea? She was the epitome of confidence. Not.

And then, a fat girl came in.
Well, okay, she wasn't really fat; her arms and legs were all normal-sized and seemed in proper working order, it just looked like she had a soccer ball shoved under her shirt. Maybe that was what was actually going on. It would make more sense than her being fat only on her stomach. Or maybe she was hiding something else, though he hadn't an inkling what that could be.
Then again, she wasn't really a girl, either. That is, she was definitely a female ( after all, she did have the necessary... growths ), but she also had a double set of legs where Ramiel lacked them entirely. It was every day that Ramiel saw a variety of different Eilian species, but it wasn't every day that he saw ones with four legs ( and two arms, to boot ). Quietly, he slithered up to the girl, sippy cup's mouthpiece seized tightly between his teeth.
Mercury jumped a bit when he heard the door open, glancing over with his still-working eye to the young woman who entered the restaurant. The naga waved with his free hand, standing and bowing gently. "Hello there, miss. Um... sorry to say this, but the restaurant is closed for today. If you would like, though, I can still fix you a drink or bring you a pastry...?" the male offered with a soft, apologetic smile toward the young woman.
