One Long Story
Well, not technically. In November I directed a one act children's show. But next week is the first rehearsal for my first full-lenght production (I'm doing PROOF by David Auburn). Is there anyone out there with directing experience who might have words of wisdom/encouragement to offer?
1. dont let the cast walk over you
2. dont fall out with your cast or make fun of them (unless you know they can take it and they know that it is in good humour)
3. write down EVERYTHING! (cause cast will always try the but you told me to... line just to get what they want in)
theres much more i could go on but I wont for now. My best advice is everything is down to experience.
