Kizi trotted briskly toward the tree where she met Sungura for their little "play dates", or as she liked to call them in her head, "training sessions", with each step trying to think of new and interesting ways to test his loyalty to her. She had originally feared that Jini's interference might have made him question her, but she Kizi had managed to turn her dear sister's lies against her, and in doing so make little Sunny even more of a puppet in her service.
Perhaps she should thank her for that later.
"Oh Sunny, Sunny dear?" She called cheerfully as she approached the tree, seeing that her friend was nowhere in sight, "Oh, it's such a lovely day out, come out and play with me!" Her voice was almost sickeningly sweet, as it always was when she was trying to manipulate someone. She knew that he probably couldn't hear her yet, but at least if anyone else heard her they'd think exactly what everyone else thought; that she was just a sweet, charming little lioness who wanted to play with her 'best friend' and nothing more.
Kizi made a point of trying to make her charade as convincing as possible at all times.

There was no Sungura waiting at the tree for Kumbukizi. He hadn't made it there yet, having lost track of time talking to the Mfuma of the pride, starting his training already to learn their curative ways. Instead, roaming around on his daily self-imposed patrol was Hekima, doing his best to ensure the safety of his home.
Hearing the voice call out from the distance, Hekima approached, spotting Kizi's bright blue fur before actually seeing her face. She seemed to be calling for someone named 'Sunny'. He didn't know anyone named 'Sunny' but it did sound like a nickname one could use for his nephew, Sungura, though he never liked being called that, he preferred 'Bun' since he was named after a rabbit.
"Little Lioness," Hekima retorted to her calls, "Who do you wait for? You know you're on pridal lands, right?"
Hekima was a big guy, bigger than her father in many respects. He looked like a lion, but had a weird tail that suggested he was a leopard. What was obvious was that he was in some way related to Sungura. His markings looked like Sungura's, and his colors, thought a tad bright in their red's and yellow's were similar to Sungura's own.

Kizi resisted the urge to scowl at being called "little", turning to face the one speaking to her with a bright, cheery grin on her face as always, trying to look innocent and cute. She almost immediately realized that this... Creature was related to Sungura because of his coloration and markings, but what exactly was he? She covered up her confusion quite well, but she was very curious as to why he looked so different from the other lions she had met.
"Oh, I'm looking for my best friend in the whole world, Sungura!" She chimed, bounding over to the male and beaming up at him. "You must be in his pride, right? He's told me all about it." She giggled, "I was going to ask him if I could visit today, actually. He told me your pride has healers and all sorts of interesting things." She sounded fascinated, though she really could care less. The only thing that intrigued her about the healers was the possibility that they could make her visions less of a pain, and the rest of it was nothing to her.
Kizi was, as always, only interested in herself. "You don't happen to know where Sungura is, do you? I was looking forward to seeing him just so much today."

"Sungura? Sungura was taking lessons with the pride's healers today," Hekima informed her, giving her a nice big grin. She seemed like a nice enough little girl, and she had such a bright blue coat, almost like if the sky was the one whom gave birth to her. It was very pretty and Hekima could seen plainly why Sungura happened to like her so much, at least in the physical sense anyway.
"And yes, I am indeed in this pride. I'm one of the pride's warriors, a Shujaa. Sungura is one of my nephews," He smiled, finding the fact that Sungura had himself a little girlfriend quite adorable. It was also a little embarrassing for the adult leopon. The oldest of all his mother's children and he had no mate, or any children, whether adopted or not. And here his nephew was, already with a little crush who he'd flip backwards for by the sound of it.
"Though, if Sungura said he was going to meet you here, he is bound to show up soon. He's too much of a good lion to ever break his promises to anyone, whether to a friend or his family."

"Oh, how wonderful! Is he going to become a healer some day, too?" She chimed, bounding over to this... She decided in her head that he was just an odd looking lion, and blinked up at him with her bright yellow eyes. "Will you stay here and keep me company while I wait, then?" Her smile fell ever so slightly, as though she were trying not to appear sad. "I don't much like being alone, but I'd love to get to know one of Sungura's family members!" She sat down at his feet and wrapped her tail around her paws daintily.
"I mean, unless you have something you should be doing, mister big strong warrior?" She took a good look at his build, and he did look quite strong. Not as strong as daddy of course, but for a funny looking lion, he didn't seem to be doing half bad in the muscle department. "I don't want to keep you, but if you see my Sunny before he gets here, would you tell him that I'm waiting for him?" She made a mental note of what a "good lion" Sungura apparently was, and decided to think more about it later. What was a "good" lion anyway? Her father was the best lion ever, but he wasn't anything like little Sunny. Oh well, she'd figure it out in time.
"Oh, unless he's still in his lessons though!" She chimed, acting as though she hadn't even considered the possibility before then, "He's such a hard worker, I don't want to be a bother if he's trying to get something done." She said with a light giggle.
