Cheerful probably isn't enough to describe Dazzle's personality. Dazzle is one of those kinds of people who lives off his own eccentricity and without it, the boy would most likely be a bit lost since his charisma is what keeps him going. The boy's life revolves around playing pranks and tricks on unsuspecting victims as a way of getting a laugh here and there. A trait picked up from his family since they are mainly of circus folk.
Though of course, Dazzle knows the difference between when it is time for fun and games and when he needs to behave himself since that was the way that he was raised by his parents. Waiting for progress to take place is slow and painful for Dazzle. Delays he deems unnecessary will be agonizing, but he has learned not to always surrender to his contracting patience. However now that he is slowly entering into a world of adulthood, this childish feature may well wear thin and eventually disappear just as his grasp on the conflict is stretched to be closer to reality.
Through the eyes of others, Dazzle comes across as very childish and too overly silly. Perhaps it is due to his age, or perhaps it’s due to his incredible optimism obscuring his view of the world. Having a bit of a theatrical upbringing since his mother was an actress after all, Dazzle is extravagant and over-the-top, making sure that whatever he may be feeling today is painfully clear to anyone in a ten-metre distance. Something of an actor, Dazzle has a firm grasp on the art, but is still developing his skills. He enjoys the spotlight, attention, but most of all, getting a reaction out of his company. The theater will always be Dazzle's biggest influences.
Around people, he is very dynamic, spoiling friends and strangers alike with love. Dazzle can be quite touchy at times; sometimes he forgets the personal spaces of others, violating some common courtesy and his friendliness can become a harmful concoction. He smiles often and laughs genuinely, making him approachable and somewhat charming, yet some, if not many, can be put off by his over the top persona. Every cloud has a silver lining – or at least that’s what Dazzle was brought up to believe. His eccentric parents always told him that you have to make the most out of every opportunity to get anywhere. If a situation he views as drab, tiresome or even dangerous, the petite boy will almost certainly find something within the circumstances to smile at and hold in more precedence than any of the bad things that might be happening.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Well, it's a bit complicated ... Dazzle wasn't exactly raised the same way as most of the other demons were. It was due to the fact that his parents didn't so much care about politics and all that other stuff that are stereotyped about all demons. You see, Dazzle's parents wanted to have fun and since they were more eccentric than a lot of other demons, they went and joined the carnival. Thus, forming one huge family with all sorts of different races who just lived to entertain others not caring what anybody else thought of them.
Of course, Dazzle's parents knew that by doing so, they would be voluntarily lowering their own social status from the top of the social chain to almost near the bottom for the sake of not being held back by the stereotypes that others labeled upon them. So the main reason that they enrolled Dazzle at Amityville was because they didn't want Dazzle to end up like them, shunned by the other demons just because he lived for fun instead of politics. They wanted Dazzle to show the other demons that just because Dazzle is a carnie freak, he can function in a normal society just like them.
Though of course, Dazzle being the trickster that he is... has other plans in mind. Dazzle's goal is to pull off as many pranks as he possibly can while attending Amityville Academy. He's already got down a whole list of pranks to written down for the entire year and is already starting on the one for next year as well~! That's not the only reason he wants to attend Amityville though. Dazzle is hoping to be able to start a Drama club at Amityville in which he can showcase his acting talents to all the other students and make them see how being different is not so bad after all.
FEAR: Dazzle's FEAR ability involves a lot of slicing. What's that? You're wondering what I mean by slicing? Well, if you must know... you see those claws on Dazzle's hands? Yeah, those aren't just any normal claws. Dazzle can make them grow up to 9 inches. So when you see his claws begin to grow out, you better move away. Unless you don't mind being sliced into ribbons, that is~
Although, every good FEAR has it's weaknesses and Dazzle's FEAR isn't an exception. Growing out his claws takes a lot of physical strength so it will leave him feeling pretty drained. What does that mean? It means Dazzle won't always be able to strike accurately due to lack of energy. Which means he won't be getting another chance to strike again if he misses the first time. Without you noticing and being able to dodge it, of course.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: A glowing golden yellow. See character ref sheet.
Hair Colour/Style: His hair color is sort of a dark purple and his hair style is a wavy shaggy mess with bangs that flop over a bit childishly with curls here and there and he keeps it at a fairly medium length. See character ref sheet.
Skin Colour: His skin is a peachy cream kind of color and slightly on the pale side, though not sickly. See character ref sheet.
Clothing Style/Colours: He has a sort of cirque Macabre feel to his eccentric carnival outfit and it is a mixture of dark colors ranging from purple to pink. See character ref sheet.
Extra: He has a pair of sharp claws on his hands and a pair of cat ears and tail that match his hair color. His right cat ear has a small piece from it missing if you look closely~ and also very important, he also has a beauty mark under his right eye and a light spatter of freckles across his nose.
