Okay okay... For you Asian fans or you Asians that know see this on dramas, animes or w/e that is Asian you ever wonder why they state the significance of your blood type? I mean do know why in animes, Japanese people say their blood type? Well as we all know that we have 4 blood types in the human body (Unless your unique in your own way). We have A, B, O and AB.

Okay so what these blood types mean or are significant in the Asian world is because of your personality. What the person is like isn't judged upon the blood types but how they react to certain things. But anyway I will give you a brief outline of the different traits of the blood types. They are personality traits and please don't take this seriously. It's just a social thing and is quite similar to Astrology.

So let me start of with As. A types are your shy and cute types. They are shy around everyone and are only open to someone that will really just talk listen to them. They love social people and they love keeping secrets to themselves and friends. They are also your troubled type. They can't really give reason to why they did something so they just give a not so honest answer. They are also your trust worthy people. They won't tell a secret unless they don't really care about you.

B types are your not so entirely social peepz. They love to socialise in their own groups of friends and don't really enjoy meeting new people UNLESS introduced by one of their own friends. They are also your cool people. They won't really care about the people around them, but really if your their friend, then obviously they care just don't show it. They are stubborn in their own ideals and the ones less likely to listen to anyone else's ideals, quite selfish yeah. But when it comes to relationships then their ideals change because that partner has entered their life. Unless it is a another B. Then trouble occurs...

ABs are your random and two faced peepz. They are melodramatic and love to go over the top with their emotions. They aren't doing it for show. It's just them. They will love one thing at one time then they will lose complete interest the next. For girls, they are usually your bitchy type... They will act all nice around the people they hate, then have some private session the next minute and they will backstab. ABs are your unexpected type in that they don't really stick to one thing. Although stubborn, they are going to have a new point of interest. Really fun people too. In terms of social, it depends on their emotional highs or lows.

O types are your peepz like me. Os love to talk and be with people. They to do anything that has got lots of people involved into. Os don't like being alone because they need someone to talk and listen to them. Other then the ABs, Os aren't so truth worthy in keeping a secret because they will have it come out of them. They are not trying to hurt others just concerned when they say it. That got me into heaps of trouble before. But Os and As compliment each other in relationships. Os are also laid back and won't be bothered to do something unless, yet again has got to do with people. Os are also seen to be people magnets too but some will take them as being too flirtatious with others.

So here are the blood types and what they are. Brief. I can go into more detail. If you want to learn more just ask. Uh... But don't take this seriously because they aren't defining you really are because I've seen As that have the personality of Os, or ABs that had the personality of a B. So yeah~ Anyway have fun with that. I use it to be careful with what I say to these different blood types.

What about someone that has traits from all 4 but can't be limited to a certain personality type?

She didn't pretend that this was a science. She was pretty up-front about that when she compared it to astrology. Do you mean what name such a person would be given? I think that AB and O both have some measure of a combination of the other two, at least as I'd heard it before. That was the point of them.
As it is... There are no other mainstream bloodtypes, so there are no other categories.

Some articles on the matter.

What's interesting are the origins. "The theory was imported from Nazi race ideologues and adopted by Japan's militarist government in the 1930s to breed better soldiers. The idea was scrapped years later and the craze faded. It resurfaced in the 1970s, however, as Masahiko Nomi, an advocate with no medical background, gave the theory mass appeal. "

So, yes. Fake Nazi science. By all means, follow it for fun, you have every right to. But it being used to separate children in schools, or taken seriously in job applications, as described by the articles above, is completely ridiculous and backward.

Huh. I didn't know that. I think you sound a little harsher than you mean to, though, and your "you have every right too" sounds sarcastic and bitter, where I don't think you mean to.
Of course, the threads author was fairly open with the unscientific nature of the argument. Oddly, I thought the idea was Japanese in origin, due to how often it seems to come up in anime, so I learned something today.

Oh, I didn't mean to come off as attacking her, there. Sorry if I did. Thought I was just opening a new discussion, about how this is used in different areas, and whether or not it should be.

As long as it's not used in a manner that is discriminatory and there is an understanding and acceptance that it isn't scientific in the least, I see it as being harmless play... Y'know, like astrology, except it seems to be more widespread and more accepted as factual, as absurd as that is.

True. I just don't like the idea of it being used to judge applicants for a job, or anything like that.

It's also used by dating services, apparently, which is not so concerning, just seems a bit...silly. Still, once again, like astrology. x.x

I'm trying to remember where I heard it but I'm sure there was something about how different blood types were more suited for certain diets than others...
