In the opening of Raw we had John Cena whip out some lack luster jabs of humor about the Nexus.
My problem here is not that they were bad jokes, but that they were actually pretty offensive and really surprising since it's now billed as a very family friendly show and coming from the mouth of the children's role model.
Within 10 minutes we had a major genital reference, a racial remark coupled with mention of alcohol induced sex, and a reference to the real life sexual orientation of a person in a negative manner.
It's one thing to do these sorts of things, but don't have your spokesman be the one to do it and then keep with the BS of a family TV rating.

I figured that little remark was a poke at his sexuality.
I must say...I didn't know that.

John Cena shouldn't do comedy, his jokes are more of EPIC FAILS, he isn't funny at all and he's soooo annoying, God why don't he just join TNA so I don't gotta see him much anymore

I can't get to sleep. I think about the implications Of diving in too deep, and possibly the complicationsThat crap worked when he was a rapping heel. But it seriously doesn't work anymore. Especially at night, I worry over situations I know will be all right... Perhaps it's just imagination.

The segment was awesome, no doubt about that, but it was not PG. That'sthe point AoA tries to make and I have to agree with him. Especially when done with the youth generation's icon, that was just misplaced.

Wrestling isnt being aimed at the same audience it was in the 90's. Which sucks if your my age but i guess targeting kids makes them more money or something but it damn sure doesn make for good wrestling, period.

Especially when done with the youth generation's icon, that was just misplaced. Exactly thank you. If it had been The Rock say 10 years ago it'd be fine, but this is make a wish record holder John Cena who's squeaky clean image has been everything to the company making quasi racist and homophobic remarks for the sake of humor.

Didn't know Gabriel was actually gay. Just makes the whole segment worse. The stuff that wasn't offensive wasn't even funny, like Heath Slater being compared to Wendy (of Wendy's fame). Just because you're TV-PG isn't an excuse for the jokes you're writing to suck.
