So what does every one think of this new "achievements" system they have in place and why?
Personally I think it's stupid because alot of people have already done a good deal of the achievements and have to do them again now...

Unless it can earn me gold, it's a waste of time. Why can't they do stuff to spruce up guilds or forums or something?

I think earning some achievements does net you some gold.
And they did spruce up the guild & forums a bit. With the forums, you can now 'tip' posts and embedding videos is dead easy now (doesn't work in a guild post for some reason though last I checked). The 'home' page for the guilds has been improved as well.
OK, so that's not much but still!

Well, it has improved the activity in forums for some people, so to the Gaian admin it must seem like a brilliant idea. Although, if they had given us veterans the easier achievements that we'd already achieved it might be more interesting to us.

I gotta agree with that... do you know if you can get the achievements any where BESIDES the main forums? because conversations in here are easier to 1. read, 2. find, and 3. tolerate because there aren't as many annoying belligerent idiots in guild forums...

Truthfully, I'm still clueless as to why a shining light flies up the trophy right before they say I've achieved something. What is that---a fairy?!

I remember when I first logged in and that thing flew around. I thought it was a flying giftbox or something. xd

I find the shimmery light and sound effect strangely compelling. 0_0

Yeah, I saw that flying cat thing too. And as racist as it sounds, considering Lanzer is Asian (from what I remember from one April Fool's video they had around here), it's kinda... awkwardly befitting for the prize to be the remains of a cat, possibly a throw away from whatever goes into the mysterious #7 Chinatown Special Combo Meal w/ Extra Duck Sauce.
On that note, who wants Chinese? *Holds up a bag of Chinese take-out*

A whole slue of new achievements came out today, and a few of them don't seem to work.
