I wasn't too sure this would fit in any other sub forum, so I'mma post it here.
To my dismay, I find video games often lack actual manly characters. D: The closest I've gotten to a Bara-full game was my "manly" run though on many Fire Emblems, but yet, the main character throughout the series is often a feminine male. Anyone else agree with me that video games actually need a manly hero, one with an actual two handed sword, shining armour, size 15 boots to totally kick enemy a** and an actual man hair style?

I don't know, but I never really found Cliff to be bara at all. Soft face, his muscles weren't really all that big, and his hair was awful. Then again, I also find Snow from FF13 to be nothing more than a prettyboy with some muscle and stubble.
Manly men in games? Bacchus from Star Ocean 4 and Steiner from FF9 have the potential, though you never really get to see what they look like underneath their "armoring" FFX had Wakka, Kimahri(And the Ronso Tribe in general) as well as Auron and Jecht. FF12 had at least Reddas, Gabranth, and Dr. Cid, and even Basch, Vossler and Baltheir are somewhat bara. Plus the Garif tribe, as well as teh Galka/Roegadyn from FF11/14
Balbagan from Infinite Undiscovery was quite delicious, as was Commander Kenny from Star Ocean 4. I also had a thing for Luxord, Xigbar, Xaldin, and Ansem the Wise from KH2, and even though I find their faces to be a bit soft, I can see Xehanort and Xemnas to be bara as well. And then of course, there was Pete and Genie.
I also like many of the BoF characters, including Gobi, Ox, and (obviously) Rei, Cray, and Garr.
And then there was Yangus and the maskmen from DQ8

FF-wise, I'm not sure if he'd fit or not, but Mash (Sabin in NA) was a pretty big guy, also the Titan summon in the earlier games, my nose almost bled when I first summoned it. (I don't really play or remember anything after VI..) Really? You consider Gobi to be bara? Either I never bothered to look at his artwork or I cringed whenever I had to use him, but that came as a surprise to me.

I was mainly referring to the FF characters from VII and up, as the ones beforehand don't get much limelight anyway due to being detailed only in the character art. In that case, Xexa Surgate and Galuf from V, Yang and Cid(especially ) from IV, and of course Guy from II. As far as the espers, obviously agreed on Titan, especially in V, as he was virtually nude. I also found Maduin from VI to be bara material, as well as Madeen from IX, Griever, Ifrit, Diabolos and (Arguably) Sacred & Minotaur from VIII. Bacchus from Star Ocean 4 is indeed a man, and in his ending me mentions goign back to his original fleshly body, so it allows for some sexy non-cyborg Bacchus fanart IMO

I think Jak from Jak3 counts as light bara, otherwise FF3 has Ingus for that level graphics. If you don't mind somewhat shota-ish characters then (forgot his name sadly) the guy from dark cloud is good, the somewhat chubby one with the hammer and the bear cloak. and then in dark cloud the prince(name also forgotten, years since I played.)is mature AND well muscled, a bit skinny but well muscled enough to be bara instead of bishi. *thinks* hmm then I would also say for low graphics golden sun, Felix and Garret are both quite muscly and Issac, Piers and Satoros(spelled properly I hope. >_<) have good body build as well.not to mention there are some anthro monsters in the game that are baraish, not sure on an exact list but in between the rest of the hellish beasts there are some good ones. Then if you play diablo2 the barbarians and paladins are well muscled, and there are a MULTITUDE of monsters that are muscle-guts or muscle-hunks especially in later levels. If you want to imagine then overlord is good for thinking of a mystery underneath the pounds of armor. >_> as for overlord 1 William is kinda muscled and Kahn is the stereotype of a bara-behemoth. otherwise no idea sorry. crying

As for Golden Sun, Agatio and the hidden boss Valukar take the cake as far as bara goes. and in jack x he was pretty hot with short hair tho i kinda liked torn... i ofcorse immagined him a little more muscular guess i just like tatts theres atleast one uber hot character in every final fantasy game.... at least the ones ive played and more often than not they either turn evil or die... or both ie raijin, gadot, etc its too sadening to name them all i was playing xenosaga the other day the game was in the 2 for one bargain bin so i thought why not and there was this wierd a** blonde guy who i didnt like at first but his man cleavage and kick a** grievers slowly won me over... then i kept hearing over and over again about how hes going to die soon and stopped playing there wasnt a great selection in 12 tho... i mean u got the guy with the pink tights and the guy with the collar and so forth which kinda excited me but they werent actually bara just toned bishies... and sitting through exposure to vaan wasnt worth it OHYEAH I TOTALLY FORGOT! the npc of cid highwind in ff11 could totally turn me into an old manophile! yes i am a final fantasy nut

well as far as golden sun is concerned not much bara but what is there is HOT!!! also there is a new game coming out soon so I do indeed hope there are more hunky characters, npc's, bosses, monsters and summons. =P
