For any guild members who wish to gather. For respite, for company, to discuss news sent back from the frontline, et cetera. Just about anyone is allowed in here (like, I'm pretty sure Loki wouldn't be welcome. ;P).
If recent plot developments or otherwise important personal plot developments are posted in here, PM me the link for that post (click on the little piece of paper near the date and time of the post) and I will link it in here for easy reference.
Enjoy!

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything. You have to look →forward→. Remember what you have here now. Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from Elibe or anywhere else!" {Amelia}Amelia couldn't help but feel uncertain as she quietly studied a bundle of papers, listening to Aisen rattle one of his toys about in his pudgy hand. She was perfectly fine, for once, with being left behind and being unable to fight; she had a son to watch over, after all.
The General studied the lance she kept leaned up against the corner near the front door; if anything, it also served as home protection. If Rath had received any news yet concerning the various frontlines they were engaged in, he hadn't told the rest of the guild yet, or even the rest of the crew.
Crew. It was still a weird feeling. Amelia looked back at Aisen on the floor right next to the couch, who had settled for gumming on the soft, jingly toy with a pleased humming noise. Amelia smiled and smoothed out his thin blond hair, then looked back at her papers. She could at least be helpful to Steely Dan and the others, going through financial ledgers. Well, she still wasn't good enough at bookkeeping, like Leon, to do anything serious, but she could at least see where the money had gone and see what needed to be given more support.
Everyone has an important job to do. {Graceful Spear} "What... I mean is... Being a member of the holy order doesn't mean you can't put your own wants first sometimes. I won't be helping anyone I love if I merely stand here and cry, praying for their safety.~ ¤ ◆ Leena ◆ ¤ ~ A certain vendor had taken it upon herself to actually go outside the walls of her workplace. Eyris's constant conflicts had led to the "secret shop's" expansion, so it wasn't really all that much of a secret anymore. Not that she minded, as financially, Leena was sound. Still, she was slightly bothered by the fact that the many wars, battles, and strange encounters that Eyris faced brought her and her other assists their daily pay. It was the danger that the guild and the Watch faced that every civilian feared, but some depended on for gold, it was shameful!
But enough about that. Leena's arrival here in the manor was not about her despair over what the front lines might bring. It was a time for both vacation and joy for the blue-haired vendor. All this time she spent working, she never got to see the child of Rhys and Amelia that many of the Watch spoke of so fondly. She was going to see him, and drop off an old present that had been sitting on the shelf for months because Leena never took the time to deliver it, and today would be the day to drop it off! Sure, it wasn't fancy, but it was gift she took pride in.
"Hello, Miss Amelia?" The vendor asked as she knocked on the door lightly. "It's me, Leena! I finally took a personal day! Can I come in?" she asked. Of course, she was being polite, although the formalities weren't really all that needed. Still, it was a shopkeeper's habit, and those were really hard to break.- ▪ ⋄ Magical Jeweler ⋄ ▪ - I must be the creator of that which gives them strength... and forever forge happiness.

Roy felt weary. The war. Why was it always war? They couldn't even go past a single season without getting into a fight. The guild didn't have to be the continent's watchers of peace. In fact, every little instance seemed to involve them. The battle with Aunt Madrianna back in Harvest Festival 08, Leander revisiting during Christmas time in 08, the battles on and off between gods, shadows, ancient sorceresses, vengence-seeking relatives, travellers from another world, bandits, mercenaries...it was all so tiring. And now, here they were...fighting a war on multiple fronts because almost half the continent hated them. He wasn't surprised that Adliana hadn't decided to wage war on them. After all, weren't they accused of slaughtering tribes just last spring? Captain Rath must have done something to keep them out. Estarcia owed Learania for their involvement last winter, yet there was no help from them. Either they decided to remain neutral and rebuild safely, or they were being pressured by Mordache to not help in the war.
He had been wandering for some time now, and when he broke out of his thoughts, he found himself in front of FEFGA's mansion. Huh...there must have been some reason for him to walk all the way out here. The redhead approached the building in silence. It seemed like there was already someone at the door. If memory served correctly, this was the girl that was in charge of the secret shop in Eyris. He wasn't sure if they had been formally introduced before, so he remained silent. It looked like she had already knocked on the door, so he just stood out there, some ways behind her.
Roy wondered how his Uncle Hikaru was faring out on the frontlines. Last he heard, he had gone west to check on the villages until General Vaida's command. He disliked the wyvern lord, but he had to admit she did a good job. The redhead could only hope his fiery relative was safe. Uncle Nils would be very sad if anything happened to the dragon. He sighed weakly, glancing up at the sky. He knew he wasn't strong enough to be relied on. The swordmaster would just have to train harder to keep up with everyone else.
...Well, he'll just do what he could if the fight came to Eyris.

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything. You have to look →forward→. Remember what you have here now. Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from Elibe or anywhere else!" {Amelia}Yes, that afternoon was relaxing. Rhys had stayed home due to having a family--and if all the healers left Eyris, there would be no doctors left behind to care for the townspeople--and things were at least relatively peaceful in Fefga's manor. Aisen's intermittent gurgles and cooing were certainly reassuring.
It's nice to have a family again. Amelia smiled softly.
Then there was a knocking! Visitors? Amelia put down her papers and glanced over at Aisen. He was still content with trying to chew on his toy, so Amelia let him continue with it. "Coming," Amelia called, rising to her feet. She brushed off her red polo shirt and skirt--her standard clothes were always nice for their familiarity--before rushing to the door and opening the door wide.
"Oh, Leena! Hi!" Amelia smiled warmly, pausing before glancing over to Roy somewhat behind her. Had he arrived with Leena? "Come in, both of you," she encouraged, opening the door wide. Aisen, meanwhile, just let out a cheerful gurgle and batted his toy against the couch repeatedly, listening to the couch cushion squeak slightly with his ineffective whacks.
Amelia walked back over to Aisen, picking him up. He whined quietly, but when Amelia put his toy back in his hands, he calmed down instantly, setting back to waving it. "Would you two like some tea or something? Or did you just want to talk?" Amelia asked curiously, tilting her head just slightly. {Graceful Spear} "What... I mean is... I won't be helping anyone I love if I merely stand here and cry, praying for their safety.~ ¤ ◆ Leena ◆ ¤ ~ The shopkeeper didn't hesitate to come in, after Amelia had invited her and all. She took notice of the young man in red hair that entered at the same time, thinking of how he was a regular customer because of his drives to become stronger. "Good to see you too, lad." Leena nodded towards Roy before she took a seat in one of the chairs that was in the massive living room of the manor. Shortly after, the question was asked whether she wanted something to drink or not. "Ah, tea would be just fine, Miss Amelia."
Her eyes wandered around, trying to locate the rather... famous infant when it came to the Watch. Everyone but Leena literally had the personal time to come and see him, and now it was time to look at him face-to-face. It didn't take long, of course, for her to spot the little tyke. He wasn't too hyper, probably much to the relief of her parents, most likely. The blue-haired woman kindly waved in Aisen's direction, wondering if he'd return the wave.
"Oh, I almost forgot! I got something that you're gonna like! It's probably not too fancy, but with my business being as busy as it was, it's all I had the time to look for." Leena said to Amelia, digging through her small purse worth of belongings that she always carried with her. From out of the depths, she pulled out a simple looking silver locket, which had a pendant about the size of a quarter. "You can put pictures of you guys in it? Neat, huh?"- ▪ ⋄ Magical Jeweler ⋄ ▪ - I must be the creator of that which gives them strength... and forever forge happiness.

Roy's thoughts broke for a moment as a voice caught his attention. His gaze shifted from the sky towards the owner of the voice: Leena. He smiled gently before responding.
"It's good to see you, Miss Leena." he replied casually.
The door soon opened and Amelia appeared at the door. She greeted the both of them before stepping aside to let the two of them enter.
"It's good to see you again, Lady Amelia. Congratulations on your promotion to crew." the redhead said to the host. He followed Leena into the house, and as he passed through the doorway, spoke again. "Pardon the intrusion..."
He stepped off to the side to pull off his boots, leaving them nice and tidy next to the entrance before walking into the living room behind the two women. On the couch was a toddler...no, infant. This must have been the child everyone had been mentioning lately. The swordsman gave the child a small wave. When it came to babies, they either loved him or hated him. He only hoped the tyke wouldn't throw his toy at him.
Amelia asked if they wanted something to drink. Roy looked up at her after she had picked up Aisen. "Water is fine, thank you." he answered softly, a faint smile on his face.
The redhead then took a seat in one of the chairs in the living room. "I was in the area and thought I should pay you a visit. How are things, Lady Amelia?"

Aisen energetically waved the toy around like a sword, this way and that way, clearly content in the knowledge that he, Aisen, was making this toy rattle by moving it so. He WAS a bit disappointed he could not eat it (despite numerous attempts), but he could live with failure in this case. It WAS putting him in a jolly good mood, after all! 8D
And then this blue-haired lady came in. Aisen hadn't ever seen her before... at least, he didn't THINK he had. Perhaps he'd seen a number of people (who weren't Mommy or Daddy) here before, and they all by and large seemed excited to see him. But, while this was all very well, they couldn't honestly expect him to remember their faces, could they?
He DID, however, dimly recognize the wave. The one thing everyone who saw him had in common was they did that weird hand motion when they met him. What on earth was that supposed to mean? He stared at Leena with round green eyes, the toy momentarily lodged around his gums. Someday I'll work out what they're doing, and when I do, I'll repeat it to everyone I see, he thought to himself. Only, you know, in maybe five words or less.
And then there was this guy with REALLY red hair. He glanced over towards the couch for some reason... I'm over here, silly! Aisen thought as his gaze switched over to Roy. But then he too gave a wave to the baby.
Aisen slowly took the toy out of his mouth and seemed to concentrate at Roy, his mouth slightly open.
...That red stuff on his head... there's so much of it! And it's all over him! He-he might get EATEN! Hang on, grown-up! I'll save you!
Aisen had good intentions in this matter, he really did. But it didn't change the fact that showing a better throwing arm than many a boy his age, Aisen quickly chucked the only weapon he had on hand at the vicious-looking red monster devouring Roy's head! (In other words, the toy.)

Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from Elibe or anywhere else!" {Amelia}Amelia nodded, beginning to head into the kitchen. Aisen continued to rest in her arms, holding his plush toy in both pudgy hands. "Tea and water, I can easily--"
"Oh, I almost forgot! I got something that you're gonna like!"
Unable to hold back the little selfish thought in her head, Amelia turned back to face Leena, adjusting her hold on Aisen to rest him partially against her shoulder, supporting him with only one arm. "Oh?" Amelia smiled a little, watching Leena curiously. She was about to approach Leena, eyes going to the purse she was rummaging through, when she realized Aisen had thrown his playtoy right at Roy's head.
"...I am so sorry," Amelia managed, unable to hold back a giggle. Who knew Aisen would pull that? She smiled at Aisen and kissed his forehead, keeping him supported with one arm as she carefully took the locket from Leena. "This is... this is beautiful. Thank you, Leena." she smiled warmly at the jeweler, then studied the locket again.
Amelia paused, looking at Leena. "Could you... do me a favor real quick? I'd like to put this on and it'd be easier to carry cups without Aisen, so... could you hold him? Just for a minute." She carefully transferred her infant son to Leena's arms--or placed him gently on the floor near his blanket, should she turn down that request--and then hurried to the kitchen. She returned about five minutes later, wearing the locket and holding a mug in both hands, one steaming. {Graceful Spear} "What... I mean is... I won't be helping anyone I love if I merely stand here and cry, praying for their safety.~ ¤ ◆ Leena ◆ ¤ ~ "Ah, don't mention it, really. It was just a small thing..." Leena said in response to the "thank you" that Amelia had given her for the gift that she was actually able to deliver this time. Just then, she flinched slightly as she saw Aisen throw his toy on Roy's head! He had frighteningly good aim for being so young, and yet, he didn't look like he was throwing it because he was fussy or mad. It was almost like he was giving that expression of being brave, if an infant could understand bravery. The vendor found herself chuckling at the action. All this time away from her home neighborhood made her forget what a delight these little ones could be.
Then, Amelia asked a favor? Could she hold Aisen for a little bit? "Oh yeah, I can do that!" Leena exclaimed, taking the child from his mother, for only a little while until she could head to get her visitors some drinks. Now, Leena's green eyes met Aisen's. They were very bright and intelligent, she noticed. The vendor was guessing that one day, he was going to be a mischievous young lad who hopped rooftops with his friends and did all those little things that boys like to do when they were small. Ah yes, that brought back some of the memories, of how much trouble her brother Alfred used to get into...
But the vendor didn't let her mind stray to Al's memory for too long. She wouldn't dare show that sad face she always got when recalling him, and his ultimate fate. Instead, she gave a small smile at Aisen. At the very least, he was cute, and somewhat a little... humorous already, and he didn't even know how to talk yet! "Just imagine how he'll be when he learns his first words." thought Leena fondly.- ▪ ⋄ Magical Jeweler ⋄ ▪ - I must be the creator of that which gives them strength... and forever forge happiness.

Hm? The baby seemed strangely affixed on Roy. The redhead looked back at the baby, watching it curiously. Maybe this kid liked him or something. It was either you hated Roy or you loved him. There was never any middle ground. He grinned.
...And then thwack, or rather, squeak as the plush toy Aisen was chewing on moments before watching Roy was suddenly thrown at his face. Roy just stood there, taken aback by the kid's throwing arm, just a tad bit stunned. More out of shock, since the toy didn't really hurt. Meanwhile, the toy dropped and hit the floor with a resolute squeak. The mother giggled an apology while the merchant flinched from the hit. Amelia then passed the baby over to Leena while she ran off to get drinks and try on the locket that she was given. Roy picked up the tossed toy before wandering over to stand next to Leena and Aisen.
"You've got one heck of an arm for your age, kid." he said with a chuckle, ruffling the baby's hair a little.
Amelia soon returned, and Roy turned to face her as he passed the toy back to Aisen.
"Ah. Thank you, Lady Amelia." he said, taking his cup from her when she handed it to him.

Aisen seemed to have no complaints with this; at the least, he was able to stay calm until his mommy gave Roy his water, so she could hold him with both arms and bounce him slightly.
"Oh, you asked something earlier, Roy. How I was doing, I think?" Amelia smiled cheerfully, letting Aisen curiously pull at her hair, lifting it up and moving it around in front of her face. It was starting to grow longer, so perhaps he was trying to figure out how it was getting longer than it was before. "It's been good, actually. Been able to juggle Aisen, Crew work, and the Watch surprisingly well. It helps to have Rhys. He's so good with Aisen, you should see it." Amelia giggled faintly, thinking for a moment before looking back at the two.

I-it's the Lady's will, hehe... you can't... can't avoid it... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This place... much more pleasant than the last, wasn't it? Of course... any place was more pleasant than that... It had hurt. It had hurt her bad, that demon thing. That creature. It was all his fault that she was like this. But the Lady had saved her. The Lady was always watching. She'd known it before; the Lady always spoke to her in dreams. Every night, she dreamed, and the Lady taught her, guiding her with her own hands to become her chosen avatar. But now the Lady had shown herself, because it was an emergency. Because she had been hurt badly. The Lady had aid she had died. But that was silly. Her, die? A fresh laugh burst from her throat at the thought, high and shrill. She couldn't die, ahahahaha! She was.... she was the chosen one! Wasn't that right? Wasn't that right, Lady? her head cocked to the side for a moment, listening to something only she could hear. Of course it was right. Always right, no one could contradict her, always riiiiiight...
Oh, oh, but here! Here was the place! This was, this was, was.... what was it? Oh! Yes! Inside there was a person she would meet. He would help. The Lady had said he would help, yes. Because he was... like her. Because he was special. The girl frowned a little at the thought; certainly, no one was as special as she. She was the best, the one who would save these people from themselves. Silly people, so... so.. soooooo~ And the house! It was... oh, that was a barrier, wasn't it? Her face made what she thought was a small pout; but in reality was a twisted grimace, lips drawn back over whitened teeth. Maybe she could get in. She almost tried. Almost. But no. No entering. She couldn't take the risk. She couldn't die, but maybe there would be people inside who would hurt her, hurt her like they'd done before. Maybe even the same people. That was it. Who else would keep her from what her Lady had asked of her? Of course. All against her. All...
But then the Lady's voice spoke to her, and her mind was clear again, a nearly beatific smile coming onto her face. Yes, of course. All would be well, of course the Lady had plans for this. Of course she had known about this. She could not go in... but the other could come out. Quite easily come out. It must be a one-way barrier, yes. That would make ever so much sense.
So her eyes simply closed, mind reaching out and easily sliding through the barrier; the barrier only stopped attacks, it seemed, not someone who simply wanted to visit. This was good. The minds there were all simple, easy to read... pathetic, in other words. Lower beings, who had not evolved as she had. And then there was a special one. Not as evolved as her, certainly... but higher than those others. Perhaps he would be helpful, yes.... So she spoke to him, not in words, but in thoughts. "Hee.... h-hello, mister mage... mageboy, yes. The Lady... Lady told... Lady told me to... speak with you. She said that you would... would help, yes? You must come... I would speak with you, please." Her voice stumbled, stammering on many parts, but not from nerves; from excitement, and from something else. "I wait for you in the... this... trees, creatures.... Forest! Yes, that... Please do come quickly..." And she was gone, consciousness snapping back into herself as she curled up to wait, eyes bright with anticipation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To have been divided, he realized, was oddly convenient. Both bodies attended to their own tasks, one above, one below, and rarely did they clash. They rarely even met eyes.
And now that was one again, he could only do half the workload.
Or was he truly one? Flashes of another mind still flickered through his head, and it made him question if he had not been a little mad the entire time. How often did he lust for flesh and blood? Had he ever vengeful whisperings in the back of his thoughts on Tellius? After all that had happened, it was hard to tell. He could swear he could still see glimpses of Neros in his shadow and in his reflection, and sometimes Soren would stop specifically to swat at his bangs and check his pupils to see if they still contracted to slivers. And each time, he found such was not the case. But it still bothered him.
The researcher had been contemplating workload particularly because he was in the attic with Orthrus, where normally that would have been Neros sitting in the attic, he in the library or by The Door to conduct research or take notes. At current, Soren sat against the wall, clicking his nails together while he mulled over notes he managed to remember from perhaps a year ago. The nature of preternatural barriers, the assistance of that which contained the portal, odd details like that.
The two-headed pup was scratching at the hatch.
Soren had ignored it for the first five minutes when Orthrus failed to listen to him. He finally figured by then that he ought to humor the pup. By the sounds of it, his way outside seemed clear—and if not, well, that extra sense he had came in handy.
When the mage stood up, he found his thoughts snapping to the forest. Well, why not? He often took the pup there, anyway. He also found himself considering the possibility that he might be spotted by someone there. Well, once more, he had that extra sense to keep him alerted. So, Soren ambled over to the hatch, picked up the pup, nudged the hatch open, and dropped the ladder. He knew his procedure well. If he couldn't fly, put the ladder in the nearby closet. Drag it up with him if he was ascending. As long as no one walked in on him, all was good.
He worried a little more every day that the young one would consider running off, but so far, no such misfortune. Soren was thinking about grabbing a harness and leash while he wound out of the manor.
When he hit the outside, his eyes flashed. It wasn't just that he feared he would be spotted—no, someone was waiting for him. Was that a problem? Readjusting the pup in his arms, Soren pressed forward into that pull which beckoned him, that mischievous thing tugging at the edges of his mind, coaxing him into one direction.
And when he saw someone he did not recognize—and not only fail to recognize, he saw as an anomaly—he narrowed his eyes.

I-it's the Lady's will, hehe... you can't... can't avoid it... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ooh, he was coming~ Hewascominghewascominghewascoming yesssss this was so exciting! The girl rolled about a little in excitement before realizing that maybe that wasn't such a good idea and she'd get dirty. Oh, poo. Well that ruined all the fun didn't it? She pouted, rising again to a standing position, though a bit hunched, staying in the shadows. Other people couldn't know she was here, oh no. Other people would make problems. Especially these people, they'd helped hurt her before. She just knew it. They weren't nice people, the Lady said so.
And then he was outside, pausing and walking towards her. Of course he would, he had to have heard her and the Lady had said that he would help her, and he was here, and coming towards her, and this was going splendidly, yes. Her hands made funny little grasping motions behind her, hands clasped together and a sweet smile on her face as she awaited him. "H-hello, there, so you did hear... hear me, hehe, that's good~" Her head tilted to the side, quite far actually; beyond the range of what a normal human would be able to do. The wide choker around her neck slipped a bit, revealing a horrific scar that seemed to extend all the way around her throat. How one would survive such an injury was unknown... "L-Lady said to... to find you, you specifically. You.. You know the Lady, right? You must, or she... she wouldn't... wouldn't have... uhm..." Her thoughts seemed to be lost for a moment, a puzzled expression coming across her face. But it was soon gone as she shrugged, a wide smile spreading across her face once again. "Lady said you would help me. Yes, help me with my mission..."
"You see, Lady is trapped. That's what she... she told me so, trapped in a bad place. She wants to get out. It's horrible in there, and she wants to be free. She picked me! Me! I'm... I'm supposed to become like her!" If one could have stars in their eyes, the girl would have them right now. "And you are... you are like me... We both had to endure trials, see? See?" Her hands fumbled at her throat, sliding the choker up to reveal the band of jagged injury wrapped around her throat. "H-he bit... bit me... hurt so bad, yes... but... Lady saved me! And, and... you weren't bitten... but you were ripped? Yes, yes, that's... okay... But the Lady can give anything! Anything you want! She just wants to be free... Won't you please help me?" The girl's eyes widened, watering slightly as she wrapped her arms around one of Soren's. "You must understand... why you're the only one who can..."
