So an American player has won the Pokemon World championship!
The trainer is a Smogon user named, Ray Rizzo aka bluecookies. Yasuki Tochigi was the second place winner from Japan.
If anyone can find any of the battles online Zetshimaru would love a link.

from what i saw on pokebeach, it was mostly sp and jumpluff decks that won. i'm suprised none ran charizard/rapidash

Dude, I could beat Japanese people online.....before my PBR stopped working.....now, I either got to get a new copy or wait for Black and White to come out so I can do random battles there...

In japan they make games... which guarantee them being realeased there first so they get to practice and give us the false idea of them being good at all... but that does not automatically make a JAPANESE kid a GOD at video gaming...

Cool Cole883 Dude, I could beat Japanese people online.....before my PBR stopped working.....now, I either got to get a new copy or wait for Black and White to come out so I can do random battles there... Pfft! PBR doesn't give bragging rights, it was never fair in the least. Ubers everywhere & you only get to use 3-4 pokes? Definitely not a fair way to battle.

Not to mention that the vast majority of users don't have any actual skill. Hence the Ubers.
