I'm pissed off at M11 for several reasons 1. No Ball Lightning 2. No Shivan Dragon 3. No Nightmare both the shivan and nightmare are core survivors up untill now. Master of the wild hunt is gone aswell which totally SUCKS thought M11 had some things that were ok such as Sword of Vengeance the Leyline cards were interesting Mana Leak is a must if you are playing blue all in all though I was Let down pretty bad by Wizards disapointed mostly oh I failed to mention M11 Made the 60 card standard decks which makes sense considering normal format is 60 cards in Standard Extended tournaments.

Scars of Mirrodin is the next set i think it will be good because the last Mirrodin set was amazing.

I think M11 was just fine Firebending Master88, sure we lost some decent cards, but some of their replacements were even better. When I heard Drudge Skeletons were out, I was sad, then I used Reassembling Skeletons and realized that I didn't care so much for Drudge Skeletons. Same goes for Elvish Piper to Fauna Shaman. I will miss Nightmare for this go-round, but I haven't seriously used it in a deck for a long time anyway (not to mention I have so many for all the years it has been around). Ball Lighting will be missed too, but not enough to break my heart. Shivan Dragon is one of the least playable dragons for me, because I don't find it worth the cost to play it out (but that is just my opinion).

I worry about Scars of Mirrodin being good, because I liked it story-wise, but mechanics-wise it was just insane (I mean c'mon, Skullclamp?). I don't want the set to be all artifact like it was last time, but I don't think that will be the issue. I don't really mind seeing some new colored artifacts, but hopefully everything isn't centered around that. Future Sight kind of poked at the idea of colored Myr creatures, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Considering M11 gave the world Primeval Titan (and most of the other Titans for that matter) I'd say it's probably the best base set since 10th. Easily. If you have 6 mana and are playing black Grave Titan is almost always better than Nightmare. I do not miss that flaming black horse one bit. Fauna Shaman is easily ten times better than Elvish Piper and Reassembling Skeleton is a much needed update to Drudge Skeleton. All in all every card that didn't make it in got a better replacement.
