Gender: Male
Age: Appears close to 17, though unsure since it's been a minute since he had to worry about the minutes.
Faction/Race Ghost - Wisp (ver. Jack-o-Lantern)
Personality: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Well, not entirely. Garvey isn't exactly sure how he came to be. He does remember hanging out on a lot of porches with a big toothy grin on his face, but that is about as close to childhood memories as it gets for this spirit.
Exuberant and sweet, Garvey is a good-natured spirit. He loves to be around people and be in the great outdoors. Oddly, he always seems to have a smile on his face, even when he is going through a tough time. While he isn't dumb, he isn't the brightest guy in school and tends to have a lot of moments where things just don't click. Though he actually can be quite intelligent, his peers mostly see him as happy for no good reason, especially if they happen to see his academic history. Thankfully, to make up for his scattered brain, or lack thereof, he is incredibly patient. Blessed with a green thumb, Garvey is an accomplished farmer and spends a great deal of time on his vegetable garden. As a ghost, he doesn't actually eat any of them and just wants them to grow and be healthy. Nothing irritates him more than when others try to ask him for free vegetables to eat. He just doesn't get it. An odd note, Garvey actually hangs out in pumpkin patches. Pumpkins are the only things he will share his true feelings with and will easily let down his guard. Essentially, a pumpkin patch is his comfort zone.
Possessing the nasty habit of bottling his emotions up, Garvey tends to try to mask his negative emotions. This causes him to explode when he just can't take it anymore and is unable to suppress anything else. While he doesn't have an outburst daily, the more stress he has, the harder it is for him to keep up his happy demeanor. Incredibly lonely, Garvey tries to be around others as much as possible. He would prefer to just sit in a room full of strangers than to be left all alone.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Garvey found himself at the academy when he accidentally got turned around (this happens too often) and ended up in one of the pumpkin patches near the school. Impressed by their Fear control, he decided to give it his best shot.
Academically, he excels in agriculture based classes and is interested in improving his fear ability as he is very tired of feeling like he is on fire.
Natural Ability:
Entice: Wisps entice and dazzle, distract and confuse, leading people off their set path or muddling their minds. Garvey's Wisp form is a collection of glowing orange orbs that appear to have varying black jack-o-lantern faces.
FEAR: Akin to his seeded brethren, Garvey acts as a lantern when he evokes his fear ability. A golden aura surrounds him and his eyes glow brightly. While this ability gives him a special kinship with the Light Bright, it also makes him very unpleasant to touch as he becomes very hot. Unfortunately, since he is a beginner, he is also affected by his ability. He feels the intensity of the heat he generates as well and it is painful for him to maintain for long periods of time. As he grows stronger, he hopes to become hotter to the touch and possibly be able to control the intensity of the golden aura. However, most importantly, he would like to stop feeling like he has his head in an oven. Not much of a fighter, Garvey will mainly use this ability as a form of defense in close combat.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Pure Glowing Yellow
Hair Colour/Style: Light Brown/Dark Blond, think the actual color of a pumpkin stem. It is very short on the sides and somewhat messy on top. Very similar to a military haircut.
Skin Colour: Pumpkin Orange
Clothing Style/Colours: Tight fitting vests and pants. Usually flannel or pinstripe. Theme is very southern farmer with some autumnal leaf patterns. Greens, Orange, Red, Black, Brown, Gold, and Yellow are all possible color options. Mostly leaving this up to the artist.
Extra: He has black jack-o-lantern markings on his face:
-Eyes: Large Triangle marking surrounding each eye
-Nose: Small triangle marking on his nose
-Mouth: Lips are orange, but his mouth is black on the inside
-Would love to discuss more design ideas with the artist.

I did an overhaul on his concept and fear ability. I would greatly appreciate any crits or comments!

I like the idea of his power being light and flame. or maybe i just have a soft spot for non-undead spirits and pumpkins.
Nice idea here.
Other than the nitpicky idea that maybe the glow he produces should flicker interestingly, making spooooky shadow plays on walls and such, instead of just being a fire-based light spell.
Yeah, other than that i have nothing

The Acceptance Bin had an expression on pure bliss as he nom'd on the application form. Pursing her lips as this, Hellma wondered when she had last eaten herself. With a decisive flick, she turned paged her least favorite minion on the skellyphone. "Snowflake! I require the pumpkin pie!...NO! NO PIE FOR YOU!"
The application had given her something of a craving.
"And the whipped cream! Do not be licking it!"
