 Xiaoshi sighed and looked around. She had ventured out into the world since she had a break in watching the new BCRs and had some how gotten lost. Instead of seeing the familiar oasis in the vast expanse of sand she saw a river.... green... not her home. With a sigh she shook her head wondering how she was ever going to explain this to her tribe when she got back. Well if the modeities had lead her to the tribe it would make sense that eventually she would be led back again, right?
Or they could be busy and not bother checking up on just one lost modifox in the middle of nowhere. She walked over towards river and plunked down. There was no harm in taking in shade and water before she decided to try any attempt to return to her tribe.

 Esus was having a lazily boring day as he flew languidly through the air currents, following the twists and turns of the river. The water below was looking more and more attractive as the sun was reaching it's pinnacle, and it was beginning to get extremely hot. Circling down, Esus landed in the cool water, ducking into it like a large swan.
Esus folded his wings to his back and tread water. The current swept him downstream and he did small lazy circles. On one of his circles, he caught sight of a lavender vixen under a tree. Esus swam towards the bank. "Hello. Are you okay?" He asked. The female seemed to have an uncertain air around her.

Pondering such negative thoughts wasn't good for her mood and she didnt like it, not only would it interfere with work it put her in a weird mood. Xiaoshi looked up as she saw something in the river coming towards her. She laughed a little sarcastically when he asked if she was okay. "I dont know. I'm a little lost and will probably get reamed out because I disappeared in the middle of my job. well maybe not as reamed out as I could be since there are two nurturers." she sighed.

Esus dragged his waterlogged body out of the river, his fur and ears hanging rather limp and dripping everywhere. He walked off a short distance, far enough away to make sure he wouldn't drip on her, but not far enough to make her think he'd lost interest.
"Lost? How unfortunate. Perhaps I can help before you get 'reamed out' for abandoning your post."
Shaking himself delicately, he pondered her words. A job meant a tribe, and he was fairly ambivalent on the subject of tribes. He wondered if she'd gone exploring or just wandered a bit too far away from her home.
His fur now rather floofy, Esus came back to sit near to the female. "I'm Esus, by the way. May I ask your name?"

Help her well that did sound extremely good right about now. However Xiaoshi looked up at the sun. "ah well not in the middle of the day. Flying over a desert wouldn't be good. You are a very dark color." Xiaoshi pointed out watching him shake the excess water off him. "thanks for the offer though. I'm apparently getting quite used to getting lost its how I found the tribe in the first place."
"Ah esus is...." xiaoshi tilted her head to the side. Well it was an interesting name to say the least but her own name wasnt exactly normal either. "a very nice name" she finally decided. "I'm Xiaoshi."

"That does sound troublesome. I can hardly help you if I'm passed out in the middle of the desert." Esus agreed. "Though I could potentially find the desert for you. Or find a desert you don't even belong in."
He paused, tilting his head in thought, wondering what kind of tribe could possibly live out in the middle of the desert? Tribal foxes confused him sometimes and he decided not to worry too much about it.
"Thank you. Xiaoshi is a lovely name. I think it fits you." Esus replied.
He looked down at the female and shifted his wings slightly to get a bit more comfortable. "If you wish me not to find your desert as of this moment, what would you like to do? We can explore if you wish, I'm never lost so I can easily find this place again."

"hmm I will think about that. I know the general direction of the desert the only problem is the oasis in which my tribe is at is some where in the middle of the sucker." Xiaoshi shook her head. "ah yes being passed out never really helps people. Well I guess it could... but not in this case. However I am a carer and so you would recover faster." she teased.
"hmmm exploring does seem Amusing. We can do that. Ah is flying fun?" she asked tilting her head to the side. She had met Phims before. In fact his coloring reminded her of a phim she had been good friends with when she was little.

"Well, if you're there to care for me, I shall have no worries." Esus replied, smiling a little. "And if you know the general direction, that is infinitely more helpful than picking and choosing a direction."
He nodded at her question, remembering when he took his first flight. "Yes, flying is indeed fun, though I probably wont fly while we explore."
He smiled down at Xiaoshi. His fathers had taught him not to be rude to girls...well, all except his sister. He wouldn't fly while she couldn't.

"Ah I would imagine so. My friend when I was younger was a phim and he seemed to like flying although he never really came out and said so. You can still fly if you want. Just because I cant shouldnt stop you." Xiaoshi pointed out.
She then pretended to have something in her eye to block the slight blush that came over her features when he made his statement being reassured she was there to help him. Blushing just wouldn't be amusing and would mess things up, at least right now. "yes I only really went one way once I was out of said desert." she said

"I think most, if not all, Phims enjoy flying. It's a wonderful freedom." Esus said, agreeing with her. He knew his family loved flying, even his odd sister.
"As for me flying while we look around, how would we talk if I was in the sky?" Esus asked. "We wouldn't want you to lose your voice from shouting up at me, would we?" He asked, staying on the ground and padding next to her.

"yes, Hibari often became really giddy when ever he took to the skies." Xiaoshi pointed out smiling. "so you are saying all phims get like that? It would be very amusing to see some of them flying." her smile turned into a slight smirk before returning back to normal again.
"ah yes I guess, flying at the distance I was thinking of would probably be a little hard wouldnt it" Xiaoshi stated having thought him to be flying just a few feet off the ground. "well if you wish to keep me company on the ground. You may do that as well"

At the mention of Hibari, Esus suddenly stopped moving. He was beyond surprised that this female knew his father. Of course on further inspection of that idea, Esus knew it to be foolish. His father had to have met other foxes in the course of his life, and he had to have made friends with a few. Still, it was odd to realize that this female had known his father since she was a kit. Wow...Daddy must be old. He thought to himself.
Outwardly, nothing showed of his thoughts. He was mostly just standing there, blinking rather owlishly at Xiaoshi as he muddled through his own thoughts. The first fox he'd ever met by himself and she knew his father. Odd world. And with that thought, Esus felt his composure begin to come back to him.

Xiaoshi walked a few paces before she realized her companion was still back behind her. She frowned and looked over at her companion wondering what had caused him to go all weird like that, she hadnt said anything to strange. Maybe it had something to do with Hibari, once she had said his name. Maybe he knew the fox as well. Ah well if he wanted to share he would it was none of her business. "Hello Esus... esus... anyone in there?" she asked with a smirk.

Esus blinked and gave Xiaoshi a charming smirk as he sauntered back to her side. "Sorry about that, my lady. You merely surprised me with the mention of my father. I didn't know he was so discerning with his acquaintances."
He half un-furled his wings to stretch his muscles before settling them back with a rustle of feathers. "How did you meet him, if you don't mind my asking?"

Xiaoshi kept a neutral face as she stored that information away and cocked her head to the side. "ah thats fine. Its not every day you meet your parents random acquaintances out in the middle of no where. Um how did I meet hibari. Well it was a winter when I was a little kit and he was flying around another friend of mine since they too where a kit and was trying to show them the amusement snow can bring." Xiaoshi answered trying to think hard back to where she had met the lightning colored phim.
