So last year, jazz band at my school was a big success. Everyone wanted to be in it, and they were really good. However, it was counted as a class period, and so onyl a handful could join.

Well, budget cuts made us cut our jazz program. We couldn't have it as a class anymore.

But for this year, oru choir director, ms. harris, is startin a new jazz program afterschool. its gonna be both singing and instrmental jazz. Shes callig it 'The gleegals", cause our school mascot is the eagle.

I'm excted. I can finally join jazz band. i've been wanting to for a while, but i had no space in my schedule and jazz met 7th period, which was another class i had that is only one period a day as well.

Except im torn. I want to learn a new instrument, but i wonder if id be able to learn a new instrument and focus on marching band at the same time.
So, should i learn trumpet, or should i relearn alto sax?
side notes: i was first chair alto in 8th grade, but in highschool ive been focusing on my love, my clarinet. it wouldn't take much to relearn how to play alto. it only took me about a month to learn and make first chair in 8th grade.
