Hurray for the possibility of the revival of the roleplay. Ahh brings back memories, dont we all agree. Well, what do you think we can improve on (staff and members) to make the epic roleplay last as much as the epic on coming revival? What made it crash. What things could have been better? What things did you like about it?

Just an idea thread about the idea of bringing it back and what kind of things to work on/keep.

For me, i think that the profile was WAY too complicated and it made members procrastinate. Other then that, i liked the way the system was set up. I enjoyed how the written part of the exams were actual tests and i like how each village has different places to go. It adds improv to it and acting on the spot. I enjoyed how you could not only choose who you were, what village exct. but there were limits so nobody was overpowered and how there was assigned teams.

Im looking forward to roleplaying here again (as probably a new character unless i change my mind.) and seing Seth as our captain.

I agree about the profiles, personally. They seemed too complicated at some point, and like they had useless information. One such tidbit of useless information being the "Wins/Losses" thing. They never really monitored that.

And as for the reason the guild crashed before, I have a few opinions of why.

1) The ownership was handed off like this place was a hot-potato for a while.
2) Some of the owners and moderators were less-than-worthy. I can name a few instances where moderators abused their powers to influence their characters. I can name one person in specific who seemed to make it their job to screw up something that had already been established.
3) Lack of real involvement with the Kages. It seemed like the Kages were off in their own little worlds, and the other members had little say in what happened.

I actually plan on improving on this, especially since I'm very active. I'll constantly have an eye on what's going on everywhere in the guild. My only current problem is lack of members and moderators.

Yeah those profiles, I copy-pasted a while ago. I agree that there is a lot of useless information on there. xD Agreeing with Seth, the Wins and Losses was stupid, since no one cared, or really looked at it.
I could edit a new profile, if anyone would want me to. :3

My reasons for it crashing before are a lot like Seth's, but I'll share anyways.
- Mods. We had a lot of bad ones, this time we need to make people mods that know naruto really well, can commit, and are literate. The guild owner-ship was tossed around at the end, and it seemed like people just didn't want to deal with the burden of being the captain of a failing guild. But now that we have Seth I think it'll be great! : D
- Our rules weren't strict enough in my opinion, members and crew were getting away with a lot of things they shouldn't have. We need stricter rules, and mods need to pay attention to what members are doing as well. Also the mods were kinda god-modding, if I remember. Not all of them, but a lot were.
- We needed more complete guides, and lists. :3
Those are basically the three worst things about the guild, that I remember. But I'm sure it'll be super awesome now! c:

I doubt that those three are the reasons that lead to the crash, I actually have been blaming myself due to the whole Member vs. Captain stuff that happened between myself and JakumaoftheFlame more than a year ago. That and the fact that no one liked me as Captain - (I'm sure your 2nd rule came in here).

Also... I apologize for everything back then, and I'm not begging so I can come back or anything, just felt like the right thing to do. Good luck with the revival.

The second part of my list actually had nothing to do with you. True, the members were fighting with you a lot, but that's because they had their heads up their cheeks and were trying to change a lot of BS. I am actually referring to someone else whose username I do not remember. Basically, he went through all of the old Custom Jutsu/other stuff threads and deleted them, then demanded we all start over and get re-accepted.

Basically, it was a mix-and-match of a ton of different crap that screwed us over. But yes, this revival is going to be a slow process for me, and I'm not starting back up until I'm sure everything is how I want it to be.
