RP Log between Kiya and Split
Lahna had waddled off from her comrades side, not wanting to annoy herself to much with his presence. Not that he really did annoy her, just sort of bothered her-or something. She kicked her paws of the dust that clung to her toes with a frown. Ugh. She wanted to be home, in her swamplands where the mud clung versus making her claws dry. She sighed, looking down at her dry and miserable paws. "Stupid dust...I hate it out here..." She said, wrinking her nose.
Raaze found himself rather relaxed in the dirt. Or at least the dry land of which he decided to sit down for the day. He was tired, and didn't want to move anymore. He had gotten lost after he parted ways from a lovely leopard female he was happy to call his friend. He was almost asleep, until dust filled his nose, making him sneeze very loudly. He wasn't sure why there had been a disturbance in the dirt. He quickly lifted up his head and moved his body to where he was laying on his belly. Not too far away a young lioness was there. At least, it looked young.
Lahna hadn't even taken the time to notice anothers presence, until a sneeze startled her, sending her skittering to hide behind a pathetic piece of shrubbery. She peered around the dried remains of the plant, her suspicious eyes obvious. She wasn't sure what kind of creature was laying before her. She took a step forward around the brush. "Hey... what kind of creature are you?" She demanded, her tail whipping around behind her as she looked hesitant. Such strange creatures outside of her home lands.
Raaze raise a brow at the other. How odd was it when someone rushed behind something that clearly couldn't hide them. "umm...... Hi" he started. A frown crossed his face. Did no one know what a leopard was? "I'm a leopard?" He raised a brow again. Curious things, lions. You never knew what to expect when you'd run into them. At least leopards could be more predictable. To him, at least, he thought so. He was slightly irritated for being woken up in a rather annoying way. He tapped his tail on the ground and watched her for a moment.
A leopard... how curious... she looked rather intrigued, as she took a few more steps around the brush. She did look rather hesitant, but a lot more eager. "A leopard!" She smiled. "I've never seen one before... if you pardon my intrusion." She stepped out fully, her blue eyes still stubborn but interested. "I didn't mean to wake you up... i I did..."
Well, at least she wasn't as bad as the last lioness he ran into. Crazy female. His frown continued to stay upon his face as he watched her for a moment. "well now you have" He told her. He wasn't very nice to anyone he first met. He didn't trust anyone. "It's nothing you can fix now, for I'm awake, and you are here." He simply said. He couldn't change the past once it happened, so there was no real reason to get too upset over it. Plus, she was young. "What are you doing out here?"
She puffed out her chest proudly at his question. "I am on my name quest... I am apart of the swamp pride and when we get this age, we go out and find our adult names... I'm out with a friend on our quest together!" She smiled. She rather liked her companion. "I just have no clue how to find my new name... cause I just... can't figure one out."
"Don't you already have a name?" He didn't understand lions at all. They had to have two names? He didn't know what to really say to that at all. Was he suppose to understand fully what she was talking about. What pride? He only knew of one, and it wasn't a nice one. Not like this female seemed. Of course, that could just be his luck. He met Nona, and she was kind, what if this was the same situation. "I don't see how you'd need two names in live, but I guess that's because I know nothing of where you come from"
She shook her head. "No no.... I change my name. My name now is lahna... I need a name to commemerate my adulthood. we leave our pride for the first times in our lives and when we are out there, we learn more about our selves." She smiled. "Its exciting... not sure what to consider for my name though... And my parents never really explained anything... its sort of a pridal secret thing"
It confused him, but he was gonna leave it at that. He nodded as if he understood her, that way she wouldn't continue with it. And perhaps either she'd leave, or they'd talk about something else. Of course, he'd much rather her leave, he liked being alone for the most part. "No other reason for being out here? Could have went a better way. It's rather hot here" he asked her. Of course, it was to keep the awkward silence from coming.
She nodded, looking down at her sad dry and sore feet. "Yeah.. it so hot... back home its dark and gloomy and cool, not all bright and sunny and dry... I hate it here..." She looked up at the sky with a cursed look before gazing back at him. "I dislike how the air is here too... so dry... can't smell anything like I can at home... i miss it there...." She sighed
Raaze hopped she wasn't about to cry. He didn't know how he could handle a female cry. He felt nervous and awkward at the same time. Hoping that this wouldn't get too bad. "Well, it's not totally bad" he tried to say something to stop her from thinking about things that might make her cry. "At least they let you out to see how the world is before being stuck in the place again. Then you won't wonder what it's like out here" He simply said with a shrug. His frown still upon his face, yet he was trying to seem more nice, trying to avoid the water works of her.
She nodded softly. "I left because it is what my people do but... I can't wait to go back. Sometimes provisonaries don't come back... either cause they are dead or they find something new..." She looked around. "But I promised my comrade we would go back and be together there forever... he's such a wuss.... but he's not that bad..." She paused and looked around. "I should probably go find him soon."
He figured that was her lover or something and shrugged. He knew about searching for something, but not a name. He nodded at her some more and shrugged. "Well, whatever the reason, I'm sure in time you'll accept that it was the best thing to do in the long run." Of course he had not a clue what he was saying, but it sounded about right. As long as he sounded like he knew what he was talking about, then it looked like he was pretty smart. As long as other questions didn't get asked in the process of him looking smart.
She stood and stretched, looking round for a moment again. "Eh... I should go now that i think about it..." She sighed, looking back at him. "Well, it was nice to meet you mister leopard! " She said, smiling a rather sweet smile. "I am going to go so you can sleep now..." She said, stepping past him and in the direction she had been traveling in. 'I hope you have a good day.!" She chuckled, before taking off playfully
He watched her leave, but now he was wide awake. He couldn't try to go back to sleep. How useless was that. He sighed and laid back down regardless of his non tired mood now. At least he had the sound of her leaving and the almost quiet breeze. Soon it was to be just him and the breeze, oh... He couldn't wait.
