IDK if any one of you are in the Denver area, but there's an anime convention there called Nan Desu Kan. It's not as big as like OtakuCon or anything, but still fun. > o > Is anyone here going~?
Because it would be nice to see some of you around. XD I'll be there (without an actual cosplay. i'll just be wearing a hat, carrying some Pokeballs, and a Mudkip and Chikorita... and battle anyone who brought their DS) with a few friends of mine (who will be going as Gijinkas of Pikachu an Raichu, and another one's going as the Merchant from RE4) So if anyone's going, you should come hangout with us. C:

I so wish I could. But alas, I'm in the redneck south. I'd be dressed like either Lockon Stratos or Allelujah Haptism. With my DS battling. Two things that I never thought would cross. Gundam and Pokemon.

Don't have the money to get to Colordao but I would SO go.
I went to my first con this summer and it was AWESOME.
I had a nerdgasm.

@Gundam, you've never seen a Gundam cosplay that's designed to look like a Pikachu before? XD
@Pen, Aw, well they are really fun. XD Everything's so ******** cheap, I don't have much cash to spend this year, but everyone else I'm going with saved a minimum of 500 bucks to spend on merchandise.
@Ryan, I love comic books more than anime too man. I used to go to Comic-con every year, until it started to turn into Twilight/True Blood s**t. D: After that it started to get hard to buy tickets, and it turned into overcrowded twifag central. Seriously, and I thought it was bad enough when we had 100k people in '05. What sucks most is this year, Stan Lee was there. Couldn't even get a ticket since they sold out too quick. Dx

The con I went to was expensive as hell.
I was helping a friend with his booth in the dealer room so I
already knew HIS merch was over priced. I roomed around
the other booths a bit too and they were all WAY over priced.
The second night, I looked at some of the stuff online, and
legit copies of some of the box sets and mangas where so much
cheaper.

Really? All the ones I go to things are cheap as hell.
Like Pokemon merchandise. Like last year they were selling Totodiles, Cyndaquils and Chikoritas for like 5 bucks. And those plushes went for like 30 online, and impossible to find in most stores.
@Felix, besides for the expected nasty overweight cosplayer in skimpy clothes, you get to see lots of hawt chicks dressed up like anime characters. >o> That should be reason enough.

It was the standard 6 inch tall one.
Maybe this one was just way over priced....

Yeah, go to more cons. XD It's normally cheaper than ordering things directly from the interwebs, and I mean the cheap parts of the interwebs, not the rip-off parts.
