MINIPETS AND YOU
While it might be tempting to adopt every single minipet that the shady little store in Town Hall has to offer, keep in mind that certain mini pets have specific requirements.
THE GODDAMN RULES:
PLEASE READ THE GODDAMN RULES BEFORE ADOPTING MINIPETS PLEASE.
- If a minipet has a 'promo code', unless mentioned in an admin-specific pm, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TELL ANYONE ELSE THAT CODE. If you have discovered that code on site or were gifted by THE ADMIN ONLY that code, you must keep it to yourself. If people are seen mysteriously granted code mini pets, we will lock and freeze that pet.
- Please try not to adopt more than 1-2 of EACH minipet. We understand your hoarding obsession but it also kills the server. Think of the babiesss.
- PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER USING YOUR GAIA PASSWORD.
- Please either use your STUDENT or GAIA username when registering otherwise we have no clue who you are, and cannot link or gift a pet to your account for student access.
- It is free to register and log in, just requires a user name, any password, and email! It takes 5 seconds, literally.
- You may stick as many as you effing want in your journal as a quilt. Noone's stopping you 8D
HOW 2 GET SPECIAL MINIPET?
Short of the ones already offered, minipets can also be:
- Released in a special in-thread event.
- Released on a certain mystery date.
- Released from pseudo customs/bribes/prizes, etc.
- Released from STAFF for STAFF EVENTS
- Released from Classroom Teachers

I GOT A MINI PET NOW WHAT? Congratulations you have now adopted your first mini pet! (After logging into the site and choosing a pet or a few). Now what?
1) Clicking on your minipet will grant it a 'level'. After a certain amount of levels (depending on the pet) it will hatch and EVOLVE. If you like it in a certain stage you can click on your pet in the options and choose to freeze it in that stage so it doesn't EVOLVE.
2) You may also click on your friends' minipets. Why not level and EVOLVE them as well? Who knows, they might return the favour.
3) Mini pets sometimes have RARE ALTERNATE stages. Occasionally instead of the regular growth, a minipet might exhibit some strange mutation. Congratulations, you lucky owner!
4) GOTTA COLLECT EM ALL: looking to collect a lot of minipets and get those rare ones? Come participate in events and unlock promo codes. Come drop by on special pre-announced days to look for a daily release. Some mini pets will be released for a set amount (ie: only 5 of them) and then be retired.
5) MINI PETS AND RP. You are free to rp your character with the mini pets, in fact it is encouraged. Their personalities are entirely up to you, though most mini pets as their name suggests, have only moderate pet-like intelligence. They also get clingy over time, so we hope you have a place to put them...
6) EVOLVING THAT SPECIAL MINIPET: some minipets are required for classroom rps. Don't like that plant minipet your teacher just gave you? You might be REQUIRED to evolve it to pass, so stop complaining...

ARG I'M DROWNING IN MINIPETS
Actually, ICly, you can only carry a max of 3 minipets with you at all times. Choose ones that you would think would serve you the greatest purpose! All the rest go into your closet: did you actually think that the technicians didn't think about this one?.
Fun fact: The janitors closet located at the end of every student hall and your own personal student closet (if applicable in your room) is actually a minipet portal. Inside it leads to an infinite storage room of darkness (it is said a student got lost there and reappeared back in the next century). When you are swapping minipets in game, you simply go to the closest closet and call one out. If you acquire any new ones, you may do the same as well!

Regarding Special Edition Minipets (SE)
You may only win (or in the case of staff, earn or make yourself) ONE FREEBIE SE CUSTOM minipet (the ones with tradable codes) per three months. That means you can only win one SE minipet custom during the period of 3 months, you will have to forfeit your prize to the next winner up/you will be rerolled, if it is an event. This is to keep this fair for everyone and make sure noone has an overabundance of SE minipets.
- You can win a SE minipet through the auction/raffle(s) and still earn an SE freebie though, paid for minipets (that the MANAGEMENT STAFF (ie: Lizbot, Chibizoo, Marushii, and be blue) have sanctioned are exempt from this rule.
If the three month period is over you can try for/win another one again!
Q: But Zoo has more than one! Why?!?!?!?!?!
A: Because shut up.
What can you do with your personal SE code?
- you can keep it to yourself and be a special snowflake!
- you can share it with your friends!
- people with their own SE codes may want to trade codes with you!
- you can post it for all to see!
- you can hold a small contest in this forum, and give codes to the winners!
Please do keep in mind that distribution of codes lies with the person that the SE pet was made for, and only that person!
What shouldn't you do with your personal SE code?
- sell or take bribes for codes. This includes any form of e-currency, items, or rl cash.
- wait too long to adopt. After awhile codes WILL be retired, and no longer work. If you want your code retired early, please just PM zoo or lizbot.

SE MINIPET AND COSPLAY CUSTOMS
I would like to order an SE minipet based off a cosplay of ___
- That is fine but you can do this either one of two ways.
A) Your cosplay is a "DOLL" of that minipet, ie: it is a reanimated doll resembling that cosplay. A good example are the reanimated SE Voodoo dolls from the Gatchapon.
B) Your cosplay is already a "CREATURE" sort of minipet. It can be modified slightly in colours or appearance to take a more 'Halloween' look or be mostly resembling your cosplay. It might also be renamed to fit the setting.
What does 'cosplay' mean?
- You are basing this minipet off ANYTHING that already exists. For example: pokemon, Final Fantasy creatures, things based off Gaia items, etc etc. It is not an original creation of your own
SE MINIPET AND COSPLAY LIMITATIONS
ONLY ONE OF THAT EXACT SAME COSPLAY TYPE is allowed
For example: I ordered a "Jirachi themed" minipet. There cannot be another "Jirachi based" minipet, due to obvious reasons. If someone orders a Cheshire cat minipet for example, there can be multiples, as one can be based off the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland (Disney) and one from the McGee version.
- As FF chars/ pokemon/ etc etc are kept to one IC character, there can only ever be one rendition of them
Themes on RESERVE (you cannot order these any more)
- Gaia item/ characters based minipets
- Pokemon/Digimon/Yugioh based minipets
- TWEWY based minipets
- Final Fantasy/ Kingdom Hearts based minipets
- WoW pets/mounts/monsters (anything wow themed really)
