Summer was in full spring, the sun beat down on the earth below, warming its inhabitants. Temperatures rose with the sun, only cooling off a few degrees when night fell on the land. Those who lived above the water on the dry hot land, usually found comfort in the cool waters of the snow melt run off in the springs that were scattered across the Kawani territory.

Wings fluttered in the still air, creating short wind gusts to cool the owner of the magnificent gold and red feathers. Wystan made his way to the creek bed, every now and again looking down at his hooves, hoping to see a clue to lead him to his next case. No clues so far, but then again he was not really looking, his mind was locked on the cooling qualities of the stream that was soon coming into sight. Quickening his pace, the Angeni reached the river; a few moments passed before the ice cold water entered his system, instantly cooling him. Full on water, the grey bodied stallion made his way to the shade to stand and observe the land around him.

Rotom made his way to that very same river. He had a slight bounce in his step, and had a grin on his face. Today had started off as a great day, like many others. From the distance the usdia would look like nothing for them a floating orange blob, for his legs were invisible.

Finally reaching the river, he paid no mind to the stallion on the other side, and he took a drink, before walking into the water a bit, and using his nose to toss some water onto his body creating some noise.

The detective felt the other’s presence across the river and looked up to see who had arrived; it was a ball of orange that appeared to be floating above the soft dirt of the river bank. Wystan turned his head to the side; the creature was not like anything he had seen before, perhaps it was a usida, a mini horse, but if that was so, then why did it appear to be floating?

Curiosity filled the stallion; he wanted to solve the mystery behind the floating orange blob. Resisting the temptation to fly into the air and land next to the tiny creature, Wystan yelled across the river, “Hello! Are you from around here?”

Rotom looked up and saw the much larger stallion. "Yep, well for hte most part. Why?" Did this stallion need some directions? Rotom took a couple steps toward the stallion to better hear him. Rotom wasn't bothered by his looks anymore, since he had been born like this. And the stares and questions, he didn't mind those either, he was the center of attention in those cases.

He wasn't surpised by the appearance of the other stallion for he had seen angeni before, and he did do his best to show respect, but they were horses just like the others.

Wystan continued to look over the orange transparent usida at a distance; the space between the two males was vast, so it was hard to see the tiny details that the detective wished too see. Were the male usida’s legs actually there? How were they transparent? How can the little horse walk?

“I was going to ask you if you know about any myths that surround this area,” the stallion yelled over the river; if there was not a myth to be had, he would be content with discovering more about the tiny stallion.

“Would you mind if I flew over there?” Wystan was half tempted to wade across the cool water and let it tickle his body, but he wanted to get closer to the interesting usida.

"Well... I never really looked into it, so I wouldn't really know." Rotom told him, and then raised a brow, a slight electric shock shivered up his spine. "Sure, go for it." What did he care if the stallion wanted to get closer or whatever. It wasn't like he owned the area he was standing in.

"Are you interested in myths? Well I guess you'd have to be, to be asking around for some..."

Wystan gave a slight nod; he knew he had a fifty percent chance of finding a person who knew of the myths in the area when he asked that question.

He stretched his red and golden wings out, letting the soft breeze tickle through his feathers; powerful legs pushed against the earth and sent the stallion air born. In a blink of an eye, Wystan was across the river standing next to the orange transparent usida.

“Yes, I am fascinated with them and it is also my job to find mysteries and solve them,” Wystan smiled down at the little horse, “I am called Wystan; may I inquire your name?”

"Names Rotom" Rotom puffed his chest out a bit. Before he grinned. "Well I don't think I can really point you in any direction, but I know the general area, so if you need any help getting around. Feel free to ask."

Rotom was never very into myths, but then again he never sat still long enough to hear anything about it.

Wystan bowed his head in acknowledgement, “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance Rotom. And I am sure I will take you up on your offer.” The winged detective looked down at the orange usida, still entranced by how the little horse appeared to have no legs and was transparent, “I am sorry, if this seems forward, but how is it that you are transparent at certain parts of your body and not at others?”

The angeni stallion cocked his head to the side trying to ponder the strange feat, but could not come up with any reasonable answer besides genetics, but even then how did that family become transparent?

Rotom looked up in a thoughtful manner. And then shuffled at the ground. "Not to sure really. But it's more like the matter.. or orange color just resides where it does...? I don't really have any family that I know of..." He was a mystery to himself really.

He was glad to have some company for the day at least. Now where did he want to go?

“Hmm, interesting,” perhaps this was one mystery that the stallion would not know the answer too. Wystan looked around the area that the two males stood, “You said that you lived around here, in what direction do you live? Where do you call home?”

Wystan smiled at the little Usida, it was always a good sign when the soquili you were talking to stayed and continued to talk.

"There's a river over that way." Rotom nodded in the direction. "I have a two legger there and some other horses. I don't stay there all the time though. I like to get around." He grinned before prancing in spot.

"Want to swing by and see if we can find anyone home, and ask about some myths for you?" This way Rotom could help him out, and he could get home.

Blue eyes gazed in the direction the orange usida pointed out, trying to discern any other landmarks. Wystan eye’s widened, “A two-legger huh? Sounds like an interesting adventure. Where do you usually go when not with your two-legger? And that would be great; any information at this time would be beneficial to finding a case.”

Wystan looked in the direction that they were heading, perhaps today held another mystery to be found.
