 The outside world was turning into a summer storm, keeping many a fox from wanting to travel out of their homes. Wikus was stuck in the shop for the time being, wondering what he could do if Inibi appeared like she tended to.
He had been thinking about what she had recently said, and wanted to prove that he could think positively, if not other things than his situation and events and people connected to it.
It had been a while since the half-breed and the alien had really done anything together, and now that they seemed to be 'official', if not close to that, it was time to introduce Inibi to a 'date'. But with the pounding rain, he was short of any good ideas of anything to do besides hang around.
So, he decided to improvise. In an empty can sat another flower for the girl. Across from the table it rested on he was sitting on the couch, hunched over and debating.

Like a frog rejuvenated by the refreshing rains of spring, Inibi was no different. With each day it rained she found herself splashing childishly in the puddles, dancing in the buckets of water screeching down, and giggling like a school girl. She hadn't the foggiest as to why she was so attracted to the violent storms, but it was just her nature to be outside when all else watched from the windows.
Even on this particular day, when unknowingly her own love was inside setting up a small place for what he called a date, she was prancing outside in the blazing winds, being pelted by the rain. Her markings were flashing wildly, as if they reflected her inner exuberance. It was a shame no one else felt the same as she

Could he cook something? Possibly. If she wanted it. So where was Inibi? By now she'd usually floating behind him. Maybe it was the rain...?
Wikus frowned at the thought. Enough foxes were kept away by it; it was the worse day for her lack of presence. However, something suddenly caught his eye. A flash of something beyond the window. He turned his head to see. It was black, as most things were in such horrible natural lighting. But it had markings, going epileptic.
Inibi?

Dancing happily in the rain, she felt a sudden vibe that made he pause in her frivolity and cast a glance to the shop. She was known to have her few powers increase in strength on the strongest stormy days, so the thought of someone thinking of her had her a bit confused.
"Wikus?" she said out loud knowing well no one would respond. Instead she pranced back inside, shaking the large amounts of water that had accumulated on her fur all over anyone near

Of course the victim of the spray of water was Wikus. He had wandered closer to the window, and then the door, excitement swelling in his chest to finally find her. Becoming the equivalent of a wet dog didn't faze the guy much. "Hello, Inibi." he said, trying not to sound awkward.

After finishing with her rampant shaking, she shook her head again to get that pesky water out of her ears, looking over to see Wikus covered in water. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to get you all wet dear" she said with a hint of a gasp in her words.

"It's okay; it would have happened eventually, eh?" Wikus casually shrugged. "I'm just happy that you're here. I just, well, I've been thinking, and I don't want it to seem that I'm always being down. So I thought maybe you'd like to do something like a date? A fun date?" Even with rain, it wouldn't be impossible. Right?

She sat down and stared at him with a smile, slowly having her gaze return to the squall outside. Then he mentioned a date. "A date?........I dunno" She said as she remembered the last 'date' she had gone on...not at all being too fun.
"What would we do?" she asked as her eyes trailed to gaze outside again...she secretly hopped it wasn't another dinner. The last one she had was awkward to her

His face fell a little at that. She didn't know? Why wouldn't she want to? Was there something he was missing? "I don't really know what to do, with all the rain. We could watch a movie or have a dinner, or even try to go out in...that if you wanted to." By his face, it was obvious that Wikus wanted to avoid the storm. It wouldn't be surprising if the power went out, he figured. So what did that leave them if it happened? Candlelight?

She tried to hide a glint of concern by his sudden mention of dinner. She sighed before speaking. "You haven't planned a dinner already have you?" she asked, genuinely afraid he had in fact done that. As much as she loved him, she didn't think sitting through a dinner was fun. Especially not when it was pouring buckets....but she could tell, he didn't want to be out there

"No. Would it be bad to?" Wikus's confusion escalated with the combination of question and beforehand sigh. Was she hiding some mood? "Is there something that you want to do?"

She shook her head lightly. She wasn't going to dig herself into a deeper hole so she only kept her mouth shut of any further comments. "Whatever you want to do is fine" she tried to smile, but the thought of a date had her nervous and worried.

"I don't know what to do... Maybe we could just watch TV while the electric lasts?" Wikus decided to play safe at whatever was bothering Inibi. "And have some popcorn?"

She stared at him long and hard. He wanted a date, yet he didn't know what to do? She wasn't usually a critical type, but during a storm she was always a bit different. "Did you have plans before I said anything?" she figured she could get back to what he wanted to do later, for now she wanted to poke and prod him a little bit

"Not...really." He shifted, a little uncomfortable under her gaze. "Was I supposed to?" Maybe, he sighed. "It was really more last minute than anything... Is it okay?"
