Heaven-Leigh had set out again; a little adventure as she put it. She was trying to get used to her new home, and thoroughly set on exploring it. Her new herd was so small compared to her old one. Things were often boring and she wanted to get away. She wanted to meet the other soquili that roamed this new land, and she wanted to see what the land was all about.
She looked up at the high mountains as she approached them, remembering what Aidan, a stallion she had recently met, had told her about certain areas. He had told her to be careful, because some herds didn't like intruders. She didn't know if the mountains held any such herd as that, but she was curious all the same.
She approached the base of the mountains quietly, silent jitters of excitement built up inside her. Looking left and right, she didn't seem to see anyone around. 'How disappointing...,' she thought to herself.

 The mountains tended to be an area that Aidan avoided. So many herds and Soq laid claim to land surrounding them, or on them, that all the scents felt overpowering. They all flooded his senses, at times confusing him.
But, every now and then, his stubborn side drew him back to the jutted pieces of land that looked as if they were trying to touch the very heavens. Drove him to try and conquer the problem so that he could become more adept at roaming the world without the use of his sight.
As the various scents began to flood his nostrils, which flared as he took them all in, trying to sort them all out so as to stay out of areas he shouldn't be, he picked up a familiar one. He knew the Soq that this belonged to.

Shaking her disappointment, she decided to continue forward. There was still much much more to be seen here. After gazing at the mountains for long moment, her feet moving her steadily onward, and her ears pricked up in listening, she turned her gaze around her once again.
She hadn't noticed him before, but standing a little ways away also facing the mountains was Aidan. She suddenly felt a bit guilty; she had wandered here after he had warned her to be careful. What would she say if he asked her what she was doing here? She'd never been good at lying, mostly because she could never come up with one that was very convincing.
Heaven-Leigh slowly approached Aidan now, for it was unlikely that he hadn't noticed her presence, even if he couldn't see her.
She chuckled softly from embarrassment at being "caught" at her potentially dangerous exploration. "Hello again, Aidan..."

The large stallion's ear turned to take in the hoof steps of the approaching mare. The sound of her gate combined with the scent confirmed that the mare was indeed Heaven-Leigh. And that she had spotted him.
He continued to face the mountains, not even turning to face the mare, which would have been the polite thing to do, when the mare spoke. "Hello Heaven-Leigh."
As he cocked his head ever so slightly, his long black mane nearly touched the ground. "Could not risk exploring the jutted peaks?"

Heaven-Leigh winced. So he had guessed, she didn't even need to tell him. She hung her head a little, but despite herself was smiling a small mischievous smile. She was glad he couldn't see her. He'd know that she was guilty, and that she was still enjoying it.
"You guessed it, Aidan," she replied. "But you're here...maybe you wanted to explore too?"
She looked back at the mountains again. "But I don't see anything dangerous..."

Aidan felt his cheeks grow warm at the mare's words, countering about him doing just what he had warned her not to do. It is different for me, reasoned his mind, I have been here longer than she. Pacified, the embarrassment faded, along with the warmth in his cheeks.
Straightening his head, he began to move forward at a slow pace. Heaven-Leigh would either follow, or leave. It mattered not to him.
"Danger is not often found out in the open. After all, if all could gaze upon it and see it for what it was, then it would not be all that dangerous." He was not discounting the danger that one could see with their eyes, not really. Just stating that it wasn't living up to it's full potential. A skinwalker that walks out in the open is not as dangerous as one who walks amongst the shadows, slipping under the guard of its prey. Just an example.

Heaven-Leigh wasn't sure, but she guessed that her surmise had been correct. He was exploring, and she wasn't going to let him have all the fun to himself. Besides, if he was worried about her getting into trouble, it'd surely be less dangerous if he was along. What could happen?
She followed beside him, puzzling over his words. She wasn't sure what he meant, but it gave her a chill none the less. Perhaps danger would be found in the dark, secret places of the mountains.
Aidan seemed to walk with a sense of purpose, and he seemed knowledgable about a lot of things. "Aidan, have you been to this part of the mountains before?"

OOC: Hey Ish, sorry I never tagged this. But, I'm still up for it if you want to continue. If not, that's fine too! I was just going through old rps and am wondering which ones I should scrap and what not. :]
