So there are a few fish that are named after foodstuffs like;

The Honey Gourami
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

A small, relatively social gourami that likes quiet and soft waters.

The Chocolate Gourami

Another small gourami, also likes soft water and infamous for being rather shy and fragile.

The Licorice Gourami

Such a gem! Apparently they only eat live food, and are not a beginners fish.

The Lemon Tetra

An active mid-level fish that often indulges in squabbles within the school, but never bothers other fish.

The Cherry Barb

A very hyper little bugger, it really loves it's swimming space.

The Cherry Shrimp

Bright Red Lawnmowers!

Now I wonder if there are more fish like these, and if they would be compatible.
What would a setup for this community tank look like?

Wow, I've never seen a licorice gourami before- they are amazing!

@Degen: Don't eat the fish!
Though it is odd that people tend to name fish after tasty food.

@Amonia: I know! I wish I could find it to keep it!
You could start a compatble reeftank! I've never seen the chocolate star before, or the Lemon peel angel. They are so pretty!

But you did remind me of

The Candy Bass

The Sea Cucumber

The Sea Apple

Same name, different language, different creature ^^;

That would make an awesome reef tank, unfortunately the chocolate chip stars aren't reef safe. If they were, I'd get one in an instant!

Aww, I love cowfish and bowfish. They're so calm and peaceful, yet uite quick if you try to chase them. I wonder why they are solitairy creatures.

@Ammonia biggrin amn those starfish, is there even a species that is reef safe?

Lettuce coral

And I'm kind of cheating here, but some people call the Leafy the Lettuce Seadragon

@Irrlich:

There are linkia, fromia and nardoa stars that are reef safe, unfortunately, they can be tough to keep.

Most brittle and serpent stars are good for reef tanks and are hardy, but they are nocturnal and extremely shy. I have two of them in my tank, and I only ever see an arm once in a while. I love them anyways.

I know lettuce coral as scroll coral, and leafy seadragons as sargassum seadragons. Common names are confusing.

Sargassum? wasn't that stuff in another ocean all together?

I don't know... maybe I'm thinking of a different type of seadragon... because I'm pretty sure there is one associated with sargassum.
