 Maisha stretched out on the ground, enjoying the feel of warm earth on his belly, waving grass around him, and the cool breeze that moved the grass. It was a late afternoon. The sun hadn't yet begun its descent into darkness, and so, for now...all was calm. His lessons were over for the time being, and the Asikari weren't yet bolstering their forces for the night. They would soon enough...and Maisha knew, once he was old enough, that he would join them one day.
Not that it was a scary thought. Not to him. No...he wanted to protect his family, blood and adopted. And he would not let any fear creep in to keep him from doing so.

Adayanna was out looking for members of her family. Whichever ones she happened by first was fine with her. She was just lonely, and hated feeling that way. Her bright eyes landed on a familiar family figure soon enough though, her brother Maisha! Grinning almost ear to ear, Adayanna bounded over to where he was and jumped on her brother without a word of warning. She made no effort to hide her giggles nor to move off of him, instead the young hybrid tried to lay on him as much as possible to be as silly as possible. "Maisha!! You make a good bed!"

Mai yelped a bit, startled and staring at his sister with wide blue eyes. "Oh geez! Hey 'Naya." Oi...she didn't ALWAYS need to sneak up on him and spook him! "You're still as silent-footed as ever." Getting over his initial spook, he moved to press his nose to her cheek. "You all done with your lessons?"

Her life had become a little more hetic since she had chosen to be just like their father and become a Purifier. The training was hard, that much was for sure. The young hybrid nuzzled her brother, still staying where she was.
"For today I am. They work us really hard, ya know?"
She was indeed feeling rather lazy. Her head flopped forward, so that she bonked it softly on Mai's with a giggle. Adayanna was always this silly with her family, she loved it!

Mai nodded in sympathy. Becoming an Asikari was more physically demanding than becoming a Purifier...but he knew his sister had things rougher. SHE had to learn how to 'purify' demons...how they thought and how to work around it...how to tell if one was redeemable or not...
"But it's all for the good." He smiled slightly. "We're between the Aikanaro'hini and the rest of the world...and the Mmoja mpaka Halisisha and Shetani'msasi help protect those who aren't near us."

This conversation was growing serious. Adayanna, despite her little career path, didn't do well with serious! Not when they were suppose to be having time off to relax!!! So she started rolling around on her brother, trying to play around and be silly like always.
"Yes! Always so serious!! Lighten up, play!! We won't be this young forever!!"
Truth be told they weren't that young to start with. Not anymore, considering they were already going through training. But Adayanna saved her serious face and business for when she was working at being what Daddy was. The rest of the time she was going to enjoy life and be silly. She wasn't an adult yet!

The male leopon gained an indignant look on his face. "I'm not always serious!" In reality, he wasn't really a serious boy. Serious did not equal smiles. And he liked making others smile. Girls especially, and his sisters and Mama Luta and Mother most of all. He joined her in the rolling about, playfully nomming on her ear. "Fee! No' feriouf!"

Adayanna burst out into laughter as her brother nommed on her ear. Softly, nothing that would hurt her. She almost squealed with giggles and shook her head so her ear escaped his grip. She rolled off of her brother and crouched on all fours.
"Yeee! You'd be boring if you were!!!"
And with that, she jumped on him again, giggling the entire time as she tried to bite down on his tail (softly! ) and be silly.

Maisha laughed and nodded. "Yeah. And boring is bad!" Boring in the pride wouldn't do. After all...if they didn't have SOME fun, they might go...well, crazy. And THAT would be really bad. He laughed and rolled onto his back, then rolled again, trying to pin her.
