Please note: Kudzu is on hiatus until the shop changes have been settled. Thanks! Kudzu was created during the formation of a Lifeseed...a seed meant to sprout into a soulbound tree that would grow along with the child it was meant to protect. When creating the Lifeseed, however, Elle made a slight miscalculation with her materials. Instead of celebrating the birth of one child, twins were born...and the ties to both of them placed with the seed in hopes of protecting them both. Instead, the bond was never created. Blessed with an overabundance of life, the Lifeseed sprouted into Kudzu...an organic golem with a soul of its very own. ~The Full Story!~

 Kudzu is cared for by Elle, who cast the original charm for the Lifeseed. An accomplished apothecary and brewer, Elle has a wide range of herbal and organic talents. Though Kudzu regards the twins as friends, he feels no bond to them..the life they gave became his own. He adores Elle, however, and is more than content to be in her company.

Elle has set up a small space for Kudzu in her garden...among the lavender and rosemary, beside the little stone lined pond! Darting fish and floating lilly pads will keep the babe occupied for hours. The garden gets ample sun, and has several spots of cool shade for warmer days. On cool evenings, the fragrant greenhouse is a lovely retreat...several degrees warmer, and cozy amid the climbing orchids and misted violets!

Kudzu doesn't seem to enjoy very low temperatures, nor does he enjoy processed food with artificial chemicals. Aside from that, it's a bit early to tell what Kudzu truly dislikes!

The Jacaranda tree puts on a breathtaking floral display. Its vivid lilac-blue clusters of trumpet shaped blossoms appear in the summer, later falling to the earth carpeting the ground with a mass of color. It is said that if you are walking underneath the Jacaranda tree and one of the trumpet blossoms falls on your head you will be favored by fortune! The jacaranda is a large deciduous tree with fine-textured, fern-like pinnate leaves. Young trees are upright but assume an irregular branching pattern that produces beautifully asymmetric open crowns as the trees age. The fruit of a jacaranda is a round, flat, reddish-brown, woody capsule...under two inches in diameter, and containing numerous small winged seeds. It's twigs are slightly crooked, in a light reddish brown. Jacaranda bark is thin, pale grey brown...smooth for quite sometime but becoming finely scaled when old. The iron gears provide an important aspect to the Lifeseed charm. They symbolize the passage of time and the connectivity between Seed and Child...as well as representing the most abundant element in human blood! There are many mystical ties associated with iron...from warding to healing, protection to victory. It aids the steadfast nature of a Lifeseed, and completes the inorganic cycle of the passage of time.
