Mello's Crucifix (back story)

	We know Mello keeps a cross with him and is not a christian, so why does he have it? My belief is that all the kids at Whammy's house received a crucifix. But most of them lost theirs or threw it out. Mello threw it in a drawer thinking he'd never use it but when he stromed out of Whammy's to live on his own, he brought it with him as a reminder of his goals or of where he came from. What do you think?

	Well for one it isn't a crucifix it's a cross. Crucifixes have Jesus being crucified on them. Even if you don't believe in that it is still the technical difference. Not many people know there is a difference so don't feel bad haha. biggrin Second I always pictured it as something from his past life before Wammy's. Wammy's is a school where science is taught. Science and religion often don't see eye to eye so I don't see why they would try to combine them there. You have an interesting theory though. I've never considered that. Good food for thought. biggrin And before you ask I'm agnostic.

	Ah! rosary is the word I'm looking for. Not crucifix Sorry.. I haven't been to church in a while OK so where did Mello's Rosary come from?

Like I said I just assumed it was from his life before Wammy's somehow. That's another thing. Rosaries generally have crucifixes not crosses and it's considered sacrilegious to wear one around your neck. (I used to be Catholic which is how I know) It makes me wonder a) why his rosary is different like that and b) is he doing that on purpose or is it just so he won't lose it?

	I agree with above, i think it has to do with something before he entered Wammy's house. A theory I know isn't true, (but that I wish was) Is that it was Matts, but he stole it when he left as a token to remember their friendship biggrin
