Okay guys, this is where you can nick a prompt and write to your heart's content. I find they get you going before or after you write and they draw on your skills as a writer, as well as honing them. Be free to offer your own prompts.
You can post what you have come up with also, just say what number prompt you used and what the prompt is.
1. In 300 words, write about the word misery.
2. Write about an experience with a pet that you wish you always wish you had (can be anything, even mythological).
3. Write in 200 words about your greatest fear.
4. Create a list of five newspaper headlines.
5. In 250 words, write an account of a game in an animal's eyes.
6. Use the cliche 'all is fair in love and war' in a piece of writing.
7. If you love something, set it free.
8. Why would a baker suddenly move out of town?
9. Write an account of an alien coming to Earth.
10. Describe friendship in 100 words.
11. What happens when a husband forgets it is their 25th wedding anniversary?
12. Write about someone who has money to burn.
13. Write a dream sequence for one of the characters in your story that is not the main.
14. Come up with several different, dramatic opening lines to different stories.
15. Write a newspaper article about a headline that reads, 'Murderer saves Baby'.
16. Someone discovers a photo album in the attic of their new house.
17. Your loved one tells you a dark secret.
18. Turn a fairytale/myth into a modern translation.
19. What do you do when you find you are up for auction?
20. You wake up to find your town/city deserted...
21. Write a letter to yourself in fifteen years time.
22. You are left with only one of your senses...
23. You find our your new roommate is a killer, what do you do?
24. Write about a blind date, describing the emotions of both people.
25. Write about a narcissist.

26. There was a time where I said to myself, "This is a really bad idea." But then did it anyway.
27. Write a scene in which a man and a women go into a mattress store to buy a bed. The couple can only talk about the bed, but reveal the true situation/problem of the couple.

37. Take your favorite poem, and write the opposite of it
