Faris had snuck away while her mother looked over the various bras and things that were in the aisle just behind her. The tomboy wanted nothing to do with those undergarments it meant that she had to accept the fact that there was no going back. Perhaps she could get them augmented and make them go away? The thought was appealing and she was heavily considering it. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she tucked her wings closer to her back and began to walk forward a bit more to try and sneak her way out of the clothing department of the outlet mall to somewhere more interesting and not so....womanly.
This was all too much and she wasn't sure how she was gong to deal with her mother being angry at her for wandering off but that was a consequence she'd have to consider when it happened.
Why did it have to be so difficult? Everyone was telling her it wasn't so bad but why did she feel so strange and out of place within herself? Faris sat down at the bench and let out a deep breath as her tail coiled about her feet and she began to watch people around her feeling almost jealous when she saw a couple of girls wander past so confident with themselves and their bodies.
...Why couldn't she be like that?

Though young Mitzy was certainly one of the few girls strolling by who was very confident with herself. The young child didn't only walk, she had a sort of strut that she carried with her at all times as she showed off her always-adorable dresses and accessories. She walked by her mother, who looked a bit more unorganized in her jeans, sweatshirt and tennis shoes. It was quite obvious the mother took pride in her daughter's attire moreso than her own on most days.
Mitzy looked up at her mother, who seemed concentrated on finding sales and gathering inspiration for any sort of new clothing idea she could conjure up. Her mother was often so deep in her thoughts that she didn't realize what Mitzy was up to, not having fully grown accustomed to having a child around to watch.
The young girl, however, had learned to take advantage of this, and up on seeing another child she quickly approached and smiled widely, "Hai dere!" the girl beamed, looking up at the other. No, she didn't know the other child, but she was an overly friendly child who would talk to anyone who was around. This young girl just had happened to be around.

Faris was deep in her own thoughts when she was approached by a smaller figure that then greeted her. She blinked and looked down at the girl and offered a small smile to her trying not to look so sad for the benefit of the other girl. She sat up a little more as she scooted a bit more forward in her seat, "Hellos," Faris offered in her happiest tone and tilted her head as she looked up and around, "Where is your Mama or Papa?" she asked curiously with a tilt to her head.
Not that it was too unusual for children to wander about alone but still in a place like this a small child alone could be quite dangerous indeed. She decided to also offer up her name just in case something happened, "I y'am Faris. What is your name?"

Mitzy herself wondered where her mother was, and glancing to her left saw her darling mother, elbow deep in some toe socks. "She's over there, lookin' at clothes 'n stuff." the kitten shrugged, obviously not the most concerned about where her mother was. "I'll go find her layter." she giggled.
After acknowledging the question she quickly turned to the identity of the other girl, "Faris? Thass a pwetty name. Mah name's Mitzy, y'like it?" with a darling little curtsy the girl introduced herself and grinned at the other. She stood up straight again, fluffing the bottom of her skirt and tapping her shoes. "So where is YOUR mommy and daddy?" she inquired with a giggle, throwing the question right back at this Faris girl.
It wasn't much, but at least it was a way to start a conversation. And why not find out about a random stranger as well? It seemed worth her time, and even a little bit fun too.
