Zane had decided to begin performing some missions around the city...and frankly he did not like it one bit. All he wanted to do was to go to sleep, or to get something to eat. As he appeared at the clearing, Zane saw them. Giant turnip leaves were potruding from the ground, easily noticable by anyone. As Zane approached them, he knew these were Haley Holey, a vegetable looking monster that attacks with its vicious leaves. As Zane approached them, he unsheathed his sword and twirled it in his right, while pulling out his revolver with his left. Taking aim, Zane prepared himself for the upcoming battle.

The 3 Haley Holeys were upon him as Zane jumped upwards, twirling his body in the air as his head faced downwards, his left arm outstretched towards the ground. Aiming his revolver, Zane fired a single bullet to pierce above one of the Haley Holeys. It shrieked in pain as it toppled over, dead. Landing hard on his feet, Zane rolled forward to place some distance between himself and the two remaining monsters.

Zane was so preoccupied with the Haley Holeys that he didn't realize that there was another there. As the Haley Holeys approached him from both the left and right, Zane lunged at the one on the right. This was the creature that only had one leaf left. The creature spun its leaf at him, and using his speed, Zane ducked beneath it, slicing forward with his blade as he cut clean through the Haley Holey. Unfortunately, Zane left his back exposed and cringed as a leaf slammed unto his back. Zane was launched forward, his body flipping in the air as his back hit the ground hard. Tumbling through the ground, Zane jumped back to his feet, panting. The last Haley Holey shrieked as it floated in the air. "Shriek at this..." Zane stated as he held his revolver up. Taking his shot, Zane pulled the trigger, the bullet erupting from the barrel of the gun as it cut through the air. The bullet traveled so fast, the Haley Holey didn't even have a chance to react. The bullet pierced through its forehead, shrieking before it toppled over unto the ground. Zane dropped to one knee, his hand on the ground as he tried to catch his breath. "This is the last time I don't listen to my better instincts..." he sighed.

Zane finally caught his breath as he stood up. Zane spun his revolver around before placing it inside his holster. Then he proceeded to sheath his katana. As he gazed upon the fallen Haley Holeys, an idea came to his mind. These creatures could be useful to use...you never know. Zane walked over the one he had killed first and bent down on his knees, inspecting the creature before placing his hand atop of it. Closing his eyes, Zane memorized the image of the Haley Holey.

Zane kept his eyes closed, and while he had one hand on the Haley Holey, he had the other resting on the hilt of his katana. Should someone were to attack him, he wasn't off guard. But from the sound of her voice, she seemed like a sweet girl. Before the girl spoke, he had been relieving the battle in his mind, the skills used by the Haley Holey, the way it moved, the way it attacked and shrieked. That's when the girl spoke and he nodded, acknowledgin her but still having his eyes closed. "Wasn't aware that anyone was watching," Zane stated plainly. "I wandered in the village about a couple of months ago, been keeping a low profile till now I guess..." he said to her.

Zane still had his hands placed on the creature, copying its energy signature for future reference. "Yup, and the reason why I have my eyes closed is because I'm trying to focus on the Haley Holey. The movements, the way it attacked, the sounds that it made, I'm trying to visiulize this encounter and engrave it into my mind. It's just easier when my eyes are closed," Zane explained to her as his hand began moving around the Haley Holey, touching upon the surface of its giant leaves.
