This is to be the site of the Kusana Firing range.
It will have many different things to fire upon, and many different distances to fire at.

(-2 post to learn gunslinger, ranger, throwing ninja stars skills/ 5% more range energy in this area.)

The Urban Superstition
[Enter the Yensen}

As Yensen walked up, he surveyed the area. A quick glance revealed it was a large area. Yensen laid on the ground, pulling a level from his bag. It was a hair from being perfectly level,
meaning it was going to be a little easier to make into a range. But it's crowded by trees, shrubs, and all sorts of vines. Too bad most of it would have to be torn apart, or down to make the range.

The range would have to be clean, efficiant, and as Cry said, wouldn't be able to affect the Ecosystem so much. Not an easy task. For anyone but Yensen. He decided to do this by himself, as it is a simple design. He unloaded his bag, and went off to collect several more tools, such a a chainsaw, a shovel, and several other odds and ends.

The Urban Superstition
Yensen looked down on his tools. He looked back at the area, trying to decide the look of the range. The blueprint was already in his mind. It was to be several booths, that had a ledge you could set something on, a roof made of what he hadn't decided yet, and make them possible to add more on later with ease. He would make several targets from left over wood, setting them further down the range at different distances. He nodded. "I'm sorry Jungle. But you just have to go." he said, picking the chainsaw up and revving it.

He began to walk towards a tree, and without hesitation, cut straight through to the other side of the tree, following with a kick, bringing to tree crashing to the ground, and tearing down a plethora of vines with it. "Whoops. Was I supposed to yell Timber?" he said sarcastically. This was why he wanted to work alone. He began to do this to all the trees in the area, until he had cut out a large enough area. "Looks to me like this just became a clearing"

(Yensen is not one for caring. Obviously.)

The Urban Superstition
Yensen walked to where the range would start, and began to dig ten holes, five in front, and five in back, lining the ones in the back with the ones in the front. He began to sweat at this point. He took the chainsaw, and began to cut the trees into Eight foot sections, tall enough for someone large to get into. He drug the sections of the trees to the holes, getting he one caught on the edge of the hole. Then, one by one, began tying ropes to the end away from the hole, and pulling the rope, so the trees would fall into the holes and form pillars, and the base of the range.

This was good hard work to Yensen. Something he enjoyed. He still had left over trees though. He shrugged, cutting some of the left over trees into workable sections, following by cutting them in half down the center. These would make the shelves, and the half wall that would face the range in the booths. He began nailing the halves to the pillars, securing them all. They now technically had a range. There was plenty of flora around, and several large leafed trees. This gave Yensen an idea.

The Urban Superstition
Yensen began to collect the large leaves up. "These will make an excellent roof." He said, going through his bag for adhesive. "No adhesive? I'll just place them up here for now" he said climbing up the side of the range, and laying the leaves out on the top. He looked around. The range, almost done. Just a few more tweaks. He took what all wood was left, and began to make dummies. Some with limbs made of wood connected by bits of chain, and some without any limbs. He thought about it for a second. "Moving Targets" he said slyly.

He took several masses of cord, and ran them from the remaining trees on one side of the range, to the trees to the other side, running the cord through eye hooks (hooks that are just loops with screws attached) and into the heads of the dummies. He then rigged a system of cord to several pulleys, and finally ending it at a turn wheel that could be simply turned to reset the range. It was finally complete. Well, except for the roofing. As a quick touch, he ran out to the farthest dummy (200 yds) and pulled a knife out, carving "If you read this, your already dead" on it's front. He went to it's back, carving some symbols, and carving "Mechanist Yensen" on it.

The Urban Superstition
Yensen collected his tools, putting them all in one large bag, except the chainsaw, as he would carry that until he acquired a gun. He was content with his range. Hand made by he himself, and only out of organic materials, excluding the nails.

After he thought about it, he could have used vines. But he didn't care. It looked nice to him, and blended with the environment. If the ever abandoned the area, it would decay back into the earth, leaving no trace.

He began to imagine shooting several of the dummies from the booth. You would have a good view, and the dummy at the end with the carving was also a nice touch. After all the thought, Yensen began to walk to the office.

Zane had ran to the Kusana firing range, finishing his speed training after so much running. Tired, he decided to shoot off a couple of rounds before doing anything else. Going inside he greeted the shopkeeper and proceeded to the targets. Removing his revolver and loading it, Zane pointed at the targets and shot a single bullet...it didn't even hit the target. Sighing, Zane shot once more, hitting the left shoulder. It wasn't a critical hit, but at least it was a hit. Adjusting his sight, Zane fired once more, this time he hit the chest. Once again, it probably wasn't a critical hit. Looking at his revolver, Zane closed his eyes and sighed. "Okay Zane come on you can do this," he said to himself as he took aim once more. This time when he pulled the trigger, Zane's hand was recoiled back as the bullet pierced through the air. Looking at the target, Zane realized that there was a bullet hole on the target's head. "Heh...that's more like it," he said to himself before loading his gun and putting it away. He figured it was now time to perform some missions for July, otherwise she'd just pull his ear like the last time.

July made her way to the Firing range. She opened her book and look throw it tell Zane get's there.

Zane arrived shortly after July. He unhooked the latch to his revolver and removed it from his harness, twirling it in his fingers as he did so. "Alright..." Zane sighed. "What do I have to do?"

July looked over to Zane. "Snap Shot." She reply. "Aim your gun sideways, where you think the target will run to or where the rest of the targets are. Upon pulling the trigger the recoil will move your arm for you to aim at another target or follow the direction of where the target is running off too." She told her the meaning. July then turn over to see the dummy that has some cords that makes it met to be used as moving targets. "Practices on that dummy." She gave out the order. July walked away from Zane so she can give him space with his dangerous gun. She started the pulley cord system and the dummy started to move.

Snap Shot
Rank: D
Description: Again another shared skill with the normal handgun. You aim the gun sideways depending on where you think the enemy will run to or where the rest of the enemies are. Upon pulling the trigger the recoil will move your arm for you to aim at another opponent or follow the direction of where the enemy is running off too. Much better with the revolver due to its natural high recoil.

Zane sighed as he looked over at the dummies. They were in fact moving and as she explained the skill. It made sense. Looking over at the first dummy, Zane aimed his revolver, right side up. He wanted to test the recoil out first, something he hadn't gotten used to. Taking aim at the first dummy, Zane pulled the trigger, the bullet firing out of the gun as it hit its mark. Zane's hand went upwards, the force of the gun pushing him as Zane took note of the recoil.

Zane now decided to try the actual skill. Pointing his gun sideways and aiming at one of the moving dummies. He took a deep breath, and as he breathed out, Zane pulled the trigger. He hit his mark as his hand was recoiled once more. Once again, Zane took note of the recoil and how his arm moved from it.

"Alright...time to finish this stupid skill," he stated deppresingly as he took a deep breath once more. Zane took his aim just as the dummy was moving right in front of him. Pulling on the trigger, the bullet pierced through the air as it hit its mark on the right shoulder blade. The recoil pushed his arm to the left, Zane moving along with it as he pulled the trigger yet again, hitting the dummy on the left shoulder blade. Zane pulled the trigger a third time, this time hitting his mark right in the middle of its chest. Three decent shots that have hit its mark. "There...I learned the Snap Shot," he told her as he reloaded his gun.

"Alright, good. Next is Trick Shot. Not really strait forward but this one's fun." She said to him. She looked down to the book to quickly read the skill in her head. "This is very simple..... you spin, twirl or toss your gun in the air, and then when you catch it or stop spinning them you fire. All that spinning and twirling around your gun can catch your targets off guard and get a easy shot. Try it on the dummy's." Explained it. She then looked up to him. "Hope your a good juggler." Zane well be playing with REAL guns. And spinning that thing around could set it off to anywhere than Zane want's it to be.

Trick Shot
Rank: D
Description: This is a gunslinger favorite or just a plain jack@%$ favorite. You spin, twirl or toss your gun in the air, limited to rifles, handguns, revolvers and shotguns, and then when you catch it or stop spinning them you fire. This skill is useful for catching your opponent off guard

PostPosted: Thu Sep 30, 2010 11:23 pm

Zane cringed at the sound of this skill. This trick shot has to be the most suicidal thing he's ever done. If you think about it, the skill calls for pulling the trigger the moment you catch the gun. Meaning if he catches the gun and pulls the trigger, he risks pointing the gun at himself, or even a friend. He would note to use this skill only under certain circumstances.

Zane tossed hsi gun in the air, letting it spin and twirl as he aimed to catch it. The first time Zane missed and it simply fell onto the ground. Picking it back up again, Zane tossed it in the air and failed again. It took several attempts for Zane to actually catch the gun. It took several more attempts for him to actually catch it pointing the right way. After a couple of attempts, Zane felt like he got the hang of it.

"Alright...here goes the Trick Shot," Zane said to himself as he took a deep breath. Closing his eyes, he attempted at focusing himself, and as he threw the gun in the air, he opened them back up again. He looked over at the dummy, his target. Practically knowing where his gun was going to land, Zane outstretched his arm, snatching the gun out of the air as he immediatly pulled the trigger. The bullet sailed through the air as it hit the Dummy's right abdomen. It wasn't a kill shot, but it would suffice considering this was his first itme.

"Very good. Next is Rapid Chain. This one is mainly being quick with the trigger." She started off wile reading from the book. "In a matter of three seconds you fire out all of the bullets in the current Revolver. The sheer rapidity of these shots means you fire all of them at one target stationary target, they have to standing still or they are heading a Strait line tours you to take this shot. It's strong but not that great." She told him. She stopped the cord system as the dummy stopped. Now Zane can do it on them with out miss.

Rapid Chain
Rank: C
Description: Quite simply this: In a matter of three seconds you fire out all of the bullets in the current Revolver, can be done with both. The sheer rapidity of these shots means you fire all of them at one target stationary target, by this I mean in their last post they are not running around they stood still or they are running at you in a STRAIGHT line. The problem of the enemy here is usually if they get hit by one bullet they get hit by the rest and shields would usually start cracking due to the impact.

Zane sighed as he unhooked the latch on his revolver. He had a total of six bullets inside of it, so he had to shoot each bullet in half a second in order to shoot all of them in under three seconds. The worst part he would have to deal with is the recoil function. The recoil wouldn't allow him to fire all the shots at once without missing. Zane took aim of the dummy and pointed his revolver at it.

Firing a single shot, Zane made a hole right through the head. He was right, the recoil pushed his arm upwards, meaning that he was going to have to do something about it. Zane decided to take a hold of his gun with both hands instead of one. As he did so, Zane stabilized himself, taking aim once more.

Firing the gun, Zane's bullet sailed through the air as it once again poked another hole through the dummy's head. This time, because he was holding the gun with both hands, it didn't recoil, at least not that much. Maybe this way, he could do it. Regardless, half a second for each shot is a pretty tough thing to do...why did he not listen to himself and go to sleep?

Zane had four shots left in his revolver. Taking aim once more, Zane pulled the trigger, the bullet exploding out of the barrel. A second had passed when Zane adjusted himself to fire his second shot. It wasn't good enough, nor fast enough. "This is impossible! There's no way I can get two shots in less than one second!" Zane exclaimed. As he took aim once more he stared intently at the dummy.

Zane decided to simply just perform the technique to its fullest rather than just continue worrying too much about it. Zane unlatched his gun and began placing new bullets into it. Closing the latch, Zane twirled his gun between his fingers before cluthching it tightly with his hand. He was going to do it this time, pull the trigger quickly before the recoil takes effect, that's what he needed to do.

Looking at his target, Zane took a deep breath and aimed at stomach. As he finished taking his breath and breathed out, Zane pulled the trigger, a loud bang erupting through the area as a bullet exploded out of the barrel. Half a second later, his hand going upwards just an inch, Zane pulled the trigger once more and another bang echoed. Zane did this four more times in the span of two more seconds, totaling 3 seconds for all six shots before his arm pointed upwards. The six bullets exploded throught the puppet's stomach and chest as Zane perfected the skill. "There, done..." Zane stated simply.

"Pretty tough, isn't?" She smiled at him, seeing it was hard for him to do that move. "That's it for the Revolver.... until you have more experienced with it. Do you have another weapon you wish to try or should we head on to something else?" She asked him

(Good cause so do I mrgreen )

Zane shook his head. "The only weapons I have is my revolver and my katana, so if I can't learn anything with my gun, then that's it for that," Zane explained to her.

July scratched her head, not really knowing what to do next. Zane gone throw his revolver and now she need to give him something else to do. "Alright. Take out your sword." She quickly said to him, closing the gun guideline book. "You well learn the move called Alas... Hold your Katana out correctly like a good stance. Step forward and swing the katana at the enemy's side." She said ever so quickly. "Use the dummy. lets see how you do." She order him.

((5 post))
Alas
Rank: D
Description: This combination of moves is quick not powerful and may easily be underestimated because of its rank. Step forward and swing the katana/wakizashi while still in its saya(Scabbard) at the enemy's side being blunt it would feel like a quick punch but dont worry as you bring it back to your waist use your other hand to grip the katana/wakizashi then unsheathe it while slashing as you return the Saya to your side.

PostPosted: Sat Oct 02, 2010 1:32 pm

Zane understood perfectly as he removed the sheath from his waist. The skill was fairly easy to maneuver with. It called for a strike with the sheath, in order to either break the guard or catch the opponent off guard, then pull it back to the waist and unsheathe the blade in one fluid motion. Zane stood in front of the dummy ready to start practicing.

Zane gripped his sheath tightly as he slowly made the striking motion. He was practicing the movement he would use, and the location of where he struck. Hitting the side of the dummy's head, Zane was satisfied with the practice. He continued doing this a couple of times.

Zane unsheathed his sword and practiced the slashing motion. His blade shimmered in the light as it traveled fluidly through the air. The blade stopped just before cutting into the dummy's face. Sheathing his blade back, Zane breathed slowly in order to catch his breath.

This time around, Zane tried the skill in its full, but a slower version of it. He tapped the side of the head lightly with his sheath. Then he brought the sheath back to his hip, gripping the hilt tightly. Afterward, Zane unsheathed his blade and stopped just before it sliced through.

Zane took grip of his sheath. Slamming the sheath against the side of the head, Zane quickly brought back the sheath and took a grip of his hilt. Zane slashed the dummy's head right off the body as Zane turned back to July and strapped the blade back on his waist. "Done..." Zane told her.

"Very good." She reply. "Last move well be the Sleeves... it's a move that you quick double slash attack that will leave your opponent surprised. Swing your sword horizontally, holding it in a reversed grip. You must move forward within range wile doing this move." She said to him. She would of show to him how to do it but for one, she doesn't have a sword. And two, she doesn't do swords anymore.

Sleeves
Rank: D
Description: A quick double slash attack that will leave your opponent surprised on what happened. As soon as the opponent is within range unsheathe the sword slashing horizontally its held in a reversed grip. as soon as that is done forcefully sheath it cutting into the target a second time. A good way to do this is to jump towards the target or step forward.
