Ara had settled down, half hidden, waiting for Odi. It was difficult to have a mate who was part of a tribe hostile to outsiders, but they made it work. Neither got to see the other as much as they'd like though. The last couple visits Odi had been getting increasingly worried about his tribe Elder discovering them.
She stared off absently into the forest. From Odi she already knew quite a bit about Sin, enough to agree that getting caught would be bad. Still, it was bound to happen sooner or later, and she couldn't help but wish for sooner. All the tension made things.......well, tense.((Hope that's good : ) ))

The only sound that came from Odi was the soft sound of grass barley making a sound as he moved. He looked behind him, he didn't cover his tracks like he normally did. But what were the odds of that happening? Finally he caught the sweet scent of his mate and a smile came onto his face. As he finally was able to see her it grew even larger. "Hello my love." He said moving to her side and nuzzled her gently. His killer persona was gone whenever he was around her.

Ara's face lit up when the familiar colors of her mate emerged from the forest. She returned the nuzzle, licking his cheek.
"How have you been, love?" She pulled back to examine him, eyes taking in as much as they could. This last period of separation had been the longest yet.

He backed away to look her over. She been on adventures and he wanted to make sure she was alright. "I been fine...just getting used to new members and the usual." He said smiling as he walked and nuzzled her gently.
"I glad I been able to get away to be with you...how have you been?"

"I've been fine. Explored a beautiful mountain region before I came this way, actually." Ara neglected to mention the potential almost-mauling she'd escaped. Biggest grizzy she'd ever seen! Odi tended to overreact a little, even if it was just at first in some cases.
The mention of new tribe members had Ara a little worried. More sets of curious eyes and noses. "You don't think any of them would be inclined to track us, do you?"

Sin's lack of scent was always an issue when it came to his duties of watching over his tribe, but he managed. He had the others to be his nose. His hearing was unmatchable, and he had heard Odi leaving the base earlier. Normally, he wouldn't care. Members were allowed to explore, but he had guessed it wasn't inside the tribe grounds Odi was going to, and he knew it had been more then once. And so, he followed, keeping his distance enough to make himself hard to spot, his scent blending in with the forest because it's own scent matched his.
He had spotted Odi leaving the thick forest, and had stayed behind to see what he was doing. Instead of finding something to reassure him, he saw a vixen. An unfamiliar one. He exited the forest, eyes narrowed and body slowly taking a hostile form. This was their home, no vixen was going to ruin it. She had been kept secret, this much he knew. The secret was what angered him, not the fact Odi obviously cared for her.
The damned secret.
"Who is this, Odi?" He snarled, approaching the two with malice in his eyes as she glared at her, barely restraining the murderous rage inside him.

Ara's reaction was calm. It was just something she did instinctually at this point. She could seem like a worrywart whenever danger was only a "what if", but once it actually came she was a cool head.
Her greens eyes were peaceful and serene as she took in the one who must be Sin. She didn't say anything, not yet. Odi was probably the one who should speak first.

"Ahh I see, wish I could of wen..." Odi stopped mid sentence as something just felt so wrong all of a sudden. It was like being caught with your guard down in the worst possible situation. As he suddenly heard the question; his name, and the snarl he knew only one fox could be that.
He immediately broke contact with Ara and stood between them. He was caught off guard and Ara didn't help. His face was caught between worrying and the emotionless one he kept on at Curor. Odi was just caught horribly between his two identies.
"This is..." He couldn't lie, even if he could his voice was still shaky. "This is my mate...Ara." He said as he continued to block Sin with his body. What else could he say?

Sin's eyes flashed, letting out a rabid snarl. Odi had lied to him? Odi had hidden her, from his own tribe! Were they not family? One did not lie to family, and especially not his. His eyes locked on Ara, pure malicious rage within those black orbs. His head moved to look at Odi once more, approaching the male quickly and silently. He got in the others face, hackles raised and eyes showing signs of a attack that would surely be directed at Ara if Odi did not find a way to calm the elder-to-be down.
"So this...filth is your mate? Why have you not told us? Why do you sneak to her?" He snapped at Odi, completely focused on the male instead of the female now. "Where are your loyalties, mutt?! Secrets are non-existent, and neither are liars." His threat was clear. The tribe did not accept those that betrayed, and to him this was a clear betrayal. Odi had snuck around behind his back. Tricked and lied. He would have not been fond of the idea if brought straight to him, but in the end he would have accepted. She was his mate. She was a part of Cruor's family loosely. But now, now she was the product of a lie. She had made Odi deceive him.
'She did it.' This thought made the blood stained fox look at Ara, questionable actions starting to appear in his eyes. This fox was seconds from bursting.

"This is why it was a secret," Ara replied, calmly. Her muscles were ready to flee, if need be, but her mind was cool and collected. "We didn't want to see the tribe angry or feeling betrayed. You're all so close, what kind of blessing would you give to one who choses a mate with no intention to join the tribe?"
((I swear my kitten is channeling Sin XD He latched onto my arm and started attacking))

Odi kept his eyes locked on Sin. This wasn't good, last thing he needed was a physical fight but trying to block Sin's mental attacks at the same time were going to be hellish. As he looked Sin in the eyes he could easily read his thoughts, and his intentions. As Ara spoke he didn't respond back. She might not understand how dangerous Sin was, he was going to have to calm him down. Quickly.
"I haven't told you because of what she said. I know the tribe would treat her different then that BCR. The last thing I wanted was this to happen." He spoke finally getting into his killer persona. Never scared, even when dealing with another monster. "My Soul and body live for Curor, but my heart is with her!" He snarled, he had to make himself clear. "I'll die for Curor and I'll die for her. I never lied, you never asked if I had a mate."
Seeing Sin's eyes drift to Ara Odi frowned he had to say something to get Sin interested in her. "If you want somebody to punish, punish me. If you hurt her she might not be able to have kits."

((Oh! You found Sin's weak spot. Nice.))
Kits? The demonic fox turned his head abruptly, eyes narrowing yet again. Kits were his soft spot, one of his few. Kits were uncorrupted, and special. Small lives that could be molded and protected, that would become something great if you steered them right. Kits that needed attention and a family, something he had missed as a kit. He snarled louder at Odi, showing Odi that he was elder-to-be, and he would not go snarling at Sin. He would not have that.
He snorted finally, shaking his head, eyes wild. "Your heart is with her? How trivial! Let me guess, you love her, don't you?" The fox laughed darkly, taking a step towards Ara. "Love is a lying b***h. She will hurt you. Won't you?" He moved past Odi, stepping closer to Ara.
"You will rip his heart out, won't you? Love is meaningless. You will just take and never give. Abandon him in the end, right? I'll tell you this right now. He is a part of Cruor, and I will not let someone like you trick him."

Green eyes met black. She was aware of how much danger she was in, even more so when Odi brought forward one of Sin's weaknesses. It seemed more like a strength, to her.
Kits should be treasured and protected, for what they were taught now would one day define who they were. When adults became old, gray, and feeble, the young in turn cared for them. Without youth, they had no future.
So when Ara looked into Sin's eyes, there was only understanding.
"I've always been free to walk away, since the moment we met. I'm still here."
She leaned lightly against Odi, barely brushing her fur against his. She wanted him to calm down; the last thing the situation needed was him sinking into his killer persona.

Odi glared back as he heard Sin snarl louder. He could take a hint, it slowly lowered until he stopped entirely but the fight stayed in his eyes. "Yes I do. Like family."
As Sin walked toward Ara he didn't move to block him, he seemed to calm or at least make this into a game.
"She wouldn't..." He said silently as his eyes looked away for a moment then snapped back. She wouldn't leave him, she couldn't...would she? The thought echoed in his head in a moment before he listened to Sin speak. As he heard Sin mention Cruor he stayed silent, this was between them now.
The gentle touch and the words from Ara made him go back to being stuck between his identities again before slowly starting to slip back to Sin's Odi.

(( Sorry about the things he is saying to Ara. I think she's lovely. Heh. ))
Sin laughed harshly at Ara, her word hardly convincing to him. He turned his head to look at Odi, and then back at Ara. His temper was still inside him, furious about being lied to and the fact these two were moving around behind his back. Who the hell did this red vixen think she was?
"Everyone has the ability to walk away. The fact you haven't helps nothing! It only means you can hurt him more once you do." The blood stained fox snarled once more, this time under his breath.
"Do not think your ways can trick me b***h. I know your type. Sweet, gentle, and loving, until the day he doesn't deliver what you want. Then you are gone." He was unwilling to accept her relations towards Odi, fury building up slowly once more. Did he even know her? He was the elder-to-be! He was not letting some damn sneaking b***h to hurt his tribe members.
