He rushed into the room, and laid Victoria down onto the bed. He laid down next to her, and awaited for any movement. He was happy, and for once in his life, he felt like he wasn't a waste of space. He knew he was needed, and he knew he finally had a place in the world. Right next to Victoria. He smiled and laid his head down on the pillow.

Victoria's eyelids fluttered open as she moved about on the bed and rolled over to see Drakkar.
Now I know I'm dead... I've just entered heaven.
"Drakkar? I---" her hand moved to brush hair from his face.

He smiled as her beautiful eyes opened, and he heard her say his name but didn't finish her sentence as she moved his hair out from his face. He tilted his head, and then placed his hand on top of hers. "Yes, my sweet Victoria?"

Her being shook as tears made their ways to her eyes once more. "Drakkar... Drakkar!" she hugged the vampire. "Drakkar... I love you! I love you, too!" she confessed, heart going a million miles an hour. It's him! He really said it! He--- He really loves me! she cried into his chest, happily and for the first time in a long time... she laughed.

He chuckled, and wrapped his arms around her. He closed his eyes, feeling her fluttering heart against his chest. When she said his name, his whole body warmed. "I will always love you, through all of eternity and even longer then that," he said smiling, knowing that he could never love anyone more then he loved her at this moment.

She was filled with joy... never for once thinking something like this could happen to her. Her thoughts were askew as she searched frantically for words to say... but came up dry. "I love you, Drakkar... Please.... Don't leave me." she requested quietly, scared of his response.

He flinched at the mere thought of leaving her. "Victoria, my love. I couldn't possibly leave you. Not now, not ever. You are my life now, my heart beats for you and for you alone. I would be there for you no matter what happens," he said, saying each word slowly, intertwining his love and his promise into each letter.

She clung to every syllable as if it brought her to life again and sighed into his chest. "I want to be with you always. For better, or for worse. Drakkar... I -- I don't want to fade." she finally confessed. "I don't ever want to leave you! But this form..." she held up a hand that she could see light through on the other side. "...refuses to let that wish be granted."

She bit her lip. "I've been loosing strength...." she said sadly. "Who knows when I will fade...? I--- I don't want to leave you!" she repeated, feeling shameful for not telling him sooner.
