No worries, Namine, I won't be stringing anyone up a tree by the neck anytime soon. Unless it's any number of various congressman or senators, but I'll get to that later.
But yes, let's talk about the president that we have here. Allow me to set the ground rule that no, I will not be making any comparisons to either of America's greatest enemies, Adolf Hitler or Josef Stalin. Neither can any of you. Lest we forget
Godwin's Law.
The President is a man of very average qualifications. Ivy League education, privileged birth, and the only distinction between him and any other recent president is that he is half-African. He is elitist, out of touch with traditional American values, and is further evidence of the factor that race plays in American culture and politics; a great number of the friends I have whom are Black have admitted that they were for Obama before are now against them because of a number of reasons, the one prevalent among my smarter friends being that his spending is coming at a time when America has no money left, while another reason comes from, what basically boils down to, the fact that his inability to rally the country around any one issue leaves him looking like a, and I quote directly from a friend, "P*ssy *ss n*gga b*tch that don't know what the f*ck they doin'."
In my own opinion, he is like a naive child, believing that he can save America simply by enacting programs that sound good. Free healthcare for all sounds great until it's noticed that, oh crap, we have to pay for it. The actions of this government under his administration are too far-reaching for my comfort. A government should not interfere with things that should ultimately fall to the jurisdiction of states, as dictated in the Tenth Amendment, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
On top of this, he continues to spend, spend, and spend. Should money be given to big corporations that held the jobs of tens of thousands of Americans in the balance if they were allowed to fail? Yes. Should the corporations be allowed to continue existing after using that money to give bonuses to their top leadership without the SEC shoving a red, white, and blue foot up someone's Armani suit a**? No.
This is a weak president and the political division in the country is evident of how profoundly unpopular he is. His policies are expensive. His campaign promises are unfulfilled. His Democrats are incompetent and useless against the ruthless, savage, and otherwise bully-worthy childish antics of the House Republicans. His greatest and most prevalent excuse is:
"Look, let's set the record straight, uh... These problems that we're having, uh... I, uh... I know they're hard. I'm doing, uh... all that, uh... I can... To help all of you, through these hard times... But remember that I inherited these problems. It wasn't my fault. And I am doing the best, uh... that I possibly can. I could be doing worse! Things could be a lot worse! But they're not. Okay? Thank you. And God Bless."
Which, when translated from his jittery rhetoric, boils down to:
"Hey, shut up! I know it's not so good right now, but it's not my fault we're here in the first place! It was the other guy's! I didn't think fixing a country in a terrible economic depression while trying to push my own agenda to help Black people so they would finally accept me would be so hard! Gimme a break, guys! Seriously! I'm doing the best I can!"
Mr. President, although it is understandable that all this is a bit difficult, what with incompetent Congressmen and Senators on both sides, a war fought in a nigh unconquerable country that was previously led by someone that hated your guts, a bunch of pissed off Tea Party voters who, despite popular belief, are actual, for the most part, quite amicable and reasonable in some of their claims and suspicions apart from the racist, zionist whack jobs that have nothing better to do than attend all of the rallies, etc., etc.
Yes, it's hard. You signed up for the job. Stop ******** bitching about it. Stop visiting celebrities. Stop apologizing to other countries. Stop trying to work on things that are wrong with America or Americans or how the world views us and just fix our ******** economy so we can get back to work, put food on the table, be doucebags to other countries, and settle our problems on our own, or better yet, have so much stuff to do with our newfound wealth due to the jobs that we won't have time for racism or just figure out that it's plain bad for business.
All in all, I give President Barack Hussein Obama one star out of five.
