The sun was bright and warm on her shoulders and she lay with her head on her paws. She loved the sun it was a magical thing, something which she could simply enjoy for the heck of it. She was well fed, she and Pyaodee and her little friends had enjoyed a decent mel and now they were all relaxing. Or at least she and Pyaodee were. Her smaller friends had wandered off to do their own day to day things, they would be back by the middle of the night and they would all sleep together. For now though, she was enjoying the sun.

Pyaodee lifted his head and yawned widely, his chin settling on to the lionesses shoulders. he was getting in to the habit of traveling with Cozi, getting used to being with the lioness. It was odd, knowing she was so sweet and innocent, she could diffuse virtually any angry situation. He didn't understand why he was still travelling with her, but he was. he knew at some point he would go home but he didn't have to go home at this second, he was quite comfortable just relaxing with Cozi.

Kai had taken to wandering about as of late, his mind occupied by thoughts of the friends he'd made in his pride. His life was good; he couldn't wish for a better place to call him, his friends were wonderful, he wanted for nothing.

Though sometimes, he craved something more. While he had friends, he didn't have the kind of companionship he missed in his life. And truly, that was the only thing missing from the lions life. He could only hope that someday the ocean would grace him with a lioness of his own.

Distracted, Nohokai didn't notice the pair until he'd near stumbled upon them. "Oh, I apologize," he spoke warmly, backing up from the cheetah and the lioness who dozed in the sun. "My mind was elsewhere."

Cozi lifted her head from her paws and smiled a sweet gentle smile, her soft coloured eyes dancing. "Oh, you haven't interrupted anything." She smiles gently, "We were just resting." stretches out her paws. "I'm sorry is this a pridal lands? We didn't mean to trespass." She whispers looking at Pyaodee.

The blue cheetah gave a little growl at the lion and got to his paws, he was a tall cheetah, slim as any other but taller, sleek and healthy. "Even if you had interrupted we could hardly say turn around now could we?" He snorted, he hated those who apologised for something as ridiculous as walking through a bush.

Nohokai hadn't met someone who had taken an instant disliking to him, and he could sense the distaste the sleek cheetah had for him. Strange, it was. Still, he proceeded to speak to the lioness; of the two of them, she seemed less likely to bite his head off.

"These are Bahari'Mtoto lands, yes." He seemed uneasy, something that wasn't normal for the seafoam-colored lion. His tail swayed behind him, the only outward sign of any agitation he might've felt. Nohokai wasn't one for confrontation.

"You two are travellers?"

Cozi'kari smiles gently at the are green male "I'm sorry, you have to excuse him he's grumpy around everyone." She giggles lightly and touched Pyaodee under the chin with her nose. "Please calm down Pyaodee." She whispes "We are in someone elses lands we need to be a little nicer, we are trespassing."

Pyaodee growls and sighs heavily. "Yeahyeah, well if stupid lions didn't set them selves up on every bit of land available we wouldn't BE trespassing." he snorts sitting back down though his gaze never left the green lion. He didn't want to be attacked by this green male so he would hold his tongue, unless he attacked first of course, in which case, he would try to protect Cozi.

Cozi shakes her head and giggles. "I am sorry for him, he's such a grump. Can you tell me sir, if you live here, are we close to the sea? I have always wanted to see the ocean."

Kai snorted softly under his breath; the cheetah seemed to be looking for a fight, but Nohokai wasn't the type to indulge in such things. He smiled brightly at the lioness at the topic of the Ocean. "Oh, yes. The Bahari'Mtoto base their lives, rituals and traditions around the Ocean." He paused, looking thoughtful.

"If you are interested, perhaps I can lead you to it? Nobody should live without seeing the Ocean at least once in their lives. She really is a glorious sight." Nohokai seemed inspired whenever he spoke about the ocean, indeed; the light in his dark eyes burned brighter when on the topic.

Nohokai felt the time was right for introductions. "Please, call me Nohokai, or Kai if it falls easier from your lips." He smiled at the lioness, warily broadening his smile to include the cheetah she seemed fond of.

The soft lilac lioness got to her paws nudging Pyaodee quietly "We can go right Pyaopyao?" She bats her eye lashes at the tall slender cheetah flickering her tufted tail.

Pyaodee sighed, he disliked it at the pest of times when she referred to him Pyaopyao, but in front of a stranger it was all out embarrassing. "Yesyes, we can go to the god damned sea." He snorts and glares at the green lion. "If you're setting up a trap I'll tear you a new hole to bleed out of you got me?" He growls lashing his long slim tail.

"Pyaodeeee!" Cozi moaned nipping his ear unhappily. "Please be civil." Se sighs softly nuzzling his cheek. "OI am very sorry, he's very protective, thinks the world is out to get me." She sighs and rolls her eyes. "I have told him it isn't." She giggles flickering her tail and shaking her head. "Please, would you show us the sea?"

Nohokai couldn't help but chuckle at the fuss that the cheetah was putting up about each and every little thing that came up. "I assure you, sir, if any trap should spring on either one of you, I shall tear myself a new hole to bleed from." He winked playfully at Cozi, feeling a bit more relaxed about here.

He turned away from them, calling over his shoulder, "Follow me!" before taking off in a sprint, if it could be called such. The gentle giant of a lion had no grace, and it was more of a lumbering trot than a sprint. He really couldn't wait to see the expression on Cozi's face when she first saw the Ocean. He was quite excited.

"Yay, come on Pyaodee." She giggles following after the big lumbering lion easily catching up to him and pacing just a few steps behind his shoulder. "I forgot, i'm Cozi'kari and my friend is Pyaodee, we're travelling to the sea." She giggles happily, it seemed they had finally made it. "Is it far to the water? I can't wait to see it." She purrs her tail flickering happily.

Pyaodee sighed and followed behind the two lions at a more leisurely pace. If they had finally found the sea and more to the point, a lion pride, perhaps he could finally leave Cozi, especially if she could join here and be safe.

"Come On pyaodee keep up!" Se calls behind her looking to Nohokai. "It's very kind of you to show us the way. I have wanted to see the sea for so long."

"It's not far at all," Nohokai responded robustly, nodding forward as he slowed his pace just a bit. Running was for the more sprightly and young, and though Kai wasn't yet getting along in years, he wasn't as young as he used to be. "Just through those boulders, Cozi." He padded closer, turning about so that he could watch her expression as she first caught sight of the ocean.

As the trio broke through the boulders, Kai's gaze alighted upon Cozi's features, and he was something akin to a little cub once more as he watched her. Oh, he could never get tired of watching someone experience the ocean for the first time. It was truly wonderful.

Despite his urges not to glance at Pyaodee as well, Kai moved so that he could view the expressions of the pair. The large lion fairly vibrated with eagerness.

Breaking through the pile of boulders Cozi stood on the brink of the beach looking out at the long endless ocean. "Wow." She whispers, her face a look of pure shock and awe. How had this gotten here? was her initial thought, but that went away quickly as she let the awe inspiring sight wash over her. "It's just like the bird said, it goes on forever as if there is no end." She sighs sitting down slowly and looking at kai.

Pyaodee followed Cozi and snorted at Kai, he ha seen the sea before, not this particular pat, but he had seen it. He chuckled quietly at Cozi, he was glad she was happy, but he was still on edge near this big green lion.

"Oh Pyaopyao isn't it beautiful?" she whispers, her voice completely awe inspired.

After drinking in Cozi's expression, Kai himself turned about to view the Ocean that he so loved. It was his muse, his lifeblood, this briny salty sea. He could not imagine living anywhere else; surely to leave the ocean would be to leave his soul behind.

"Mother Ocean," he spoke, almost reverently, "is as vast as the sky itself. She is a nurturing provider to my pride." His voice was on the emotional side. He loved the silky feel of the sand beneath his pawpads and encouraged Cozi to draw closer. "Come. Dip your toes in," he cajoled, beckoning her closer with a wave of his giant paw.

Her soft eyes danced happily as she followed the green lion, in a sweet daze. Se desperately wanted to dip her paws in the waters, she wanted to feel the waves splashing against her paws.

Pyaodee sighed heavily following behind the two lions, he wans;t interested in going nay where near the water, he followed but planted himself firmly in the sand. He didn't like the sea or the sand, his slender paws sank too deeply in tot he soft warm stuff.

Cozi could barely contain herself na she broke in to a run splashing straight in to the salty waves." Whee!!"

Nohokai laughed loudly, joining the lioness in her spontaneous fit of play. He would never shun an opportunity to languish in the ocean's waves. It was almost like coming home to Kai, and he relished splashing about with someone who could appreciate the briny waves.

"It's wonderful!" He called to the cheetah, daring to splash a bit at Pyaodee. Kai didn't wait to see if it dashed against the cheetah or not, instead, his attention turned to the lioness who seemed to be enjoying the water as much as he did. "Don't you agree?"

Pyaodee jumped back a bit his teeth flashing at the lion, his dark eyes fiercely angry at the green lion. "You splash around all you like, keep me out of it. I don't like the stuff." He snorts, glaring at the male lion.

Cozi giggles. "Oh Pyaopyao you big softie!" she giggles and splashes the green lion happily. "Oh yes, I like sea very much, do you think, do you think we could stay for a few days? The sea is so beautiful."

Kai nodded at the female, "Of course. Perhaps if you like it enough, it could be considered home to you, hmm?" He grinned. "The ocean has a way of showing you things you would otherwise not consider. She has brought me many new friends, yourself included."

He didn't bother acknowledging the cheetah; Kai didn't have time for those with such a sour outlook. No, he much more enjoyed the type of carefree personality the lioness had. "Perhaps, Cozi, the ocean has brought you home?" Kai couldn't fight the grin that crept across his muzzle.

Cozi sighed gently and looked out at the sea. "Maybe, it is beautiful. I may stay, stay forever." She whispers a smile tracing her pretty maw as she gazed at the world out there. It was beautiful, wonderful and just so vast she couldn't resist the pull of it.

Pyaodee snorted and shook his head. Silly girl, the sea was dangerous, all she saw was the prettyness of it, she didn't see it in it's anger. "I'm sure you'll decide to leave Cozi, the sea isn;t always so calm." H grunts moving another few feet backwards.

Cozi giggles. "I will stay, I may stay forever pyaopyao." She purrs stepping out of the waves and flicking her feet at Pyaodee, licking his cheek on her way past. "I think a little rest is in order. "Come on Pyaodee last one to the boulders is a rotten egg." She giggles though she pauses and looks at the green male. "Thank you, for showing me this place. it's so beautiful." She sighs a dreamy little sigh.

Pyaodee grumbles quietly, he couldn't run on the sand. "Suppose we will be seeing more of you for a couple of days. Just keep your paws to yourself." He grunts following Cozi.

Nohokai laughed again. He got the feeling the cheetah was all bark and no bite, especially being so out of his element. Despite his sour tone, Kai could tell that Pyaodee was fond of the lioness, and that brought a smile to his muzzle.

"I will be sure to see you around, friends." He called after them. "Don't leave without saying goodbye!" That being said, he wandered off to find Sabbia and tell her of his new friend, Cozi. On his way there, he sent a silent thanks to Mother Ocean, greatful that she found ways to bring him new friends.
