The X-Men Name: Cassandra (Cassie) Song Diaz Code Name : Heartbreaker (as she calls herself)/ Love (her official X-Men name) Played By: mc2 Age: 18 Gender: Female Side: X-Men Personality: Cassie changed from being a bubbly, happy teenager who enjoyed being spoiled by and loved by those around her to a girl suspicious of others. She tends to be fairly sarcastic and straightforward, with little patience. Her sarcasm is obvious as she often voicing her opinion in such a tone and will occasionally make sarcastic jokes though she tries not to considering her power. Since the incident with the awakening of her powers, she has been very suspicious of anyone who claims to like (never mind love) her. With the X-Men though she has found a home where she is slowly growing less suspicious of others and her own powers. This is especially the case with the fact that she never has to worry about making eye contact with Cyclops, being trained by Wolverine who doesn’t seem to like her all that much (judging by his gruffness alone), and Rogue who can’t control her powers at all, Cassie is beginning to realize that her powers aren’t all that dangerous or bad after all. Like Emma Frost once told her soon after starting at the school, “What is wrong with more love in the world, anyhow?” History: Personally, Cassie Diaz had a generally blessed childhood in Austin, Texas- the child of a lawyer and local professor. She had an older brother, four years her senior, who she was relatively close with even after he graduated from college and began traveling on the road doing some sort of carnival act that though he told her many stories in letters from his travels across the country, he never detailed what exactly he was doing supporting himself. But, despite that she never thought anything about it. Or the fact that it was strange that her brother had been home schooled throughout his high school and spent much of his time in Junior high closed up in his room and his parents were speaking in whispers for a weak until there was the decision that “home schooling worked better for him.”
Little did, Cassie know that her brother’s strange change in schooling half way through eighth grade had something to do with far more than bullying, which Cassie never experienced herself. Cassie, instead, if anything found herself the star of everything. She was born blessed with a pretty face, intelligence, and a charisma of sorts that attracted people to her. By the time she entered high school she was already deemed a model student, tutoring her peers and younger students, working a part time at the mall since she saving for college, accepted Freshman year on the varsity soccer team, and one of the most popular (and well liked) girls in the school.
The only thing that marked her unusual from her peers, besides the fact she had to deal with at least one confession of love a week, and plenty of gifts from her girlfriends, was that she grew up being taught by her parents about mutants and being preached to that “they weren’t nearly as bad as everyone they made them out to be.” Cassie didn’t think about these lessons until her life changed at 16. It started as a typical day at work for her, except that she had to take her contacts out early in the day because they were irritating her eyes and she had forgotten glasses, though she found that she seemed to be seeing fine with her usual visual aid, and people had been acting oddly around her every time they met her eyes.
Not even thinking about it she headed to her car at 10 after a long day of work when one of her customers from earlier on that day attacked her confessing his obsessive love for her and that his love was too strong to stand it anymore and he was going to kill her and then himself. Cassie’s screams brought the help of a couple nearby security guards who helped save her. After going to the cops to have her statement taken, she began to make the connections of people’s strange behavior and her eye contact. When she got home she immediately put on a pair of mirrored sunglasses and told the story to her parents. Her parent’s response were simple the simple words, “We hoped it wouldn’t happen to you. You’re a mutant, like your brother.”
As her parents said that aloud there was a knock on the door and a voice calling that it was the police for further questioning about the incident earlier that night. Her mother hissed in Cassie’s ear to go to her room and escape out the window and to never come back, that it was the government and they would take her away like the internet spoke of about the fate of so many mutants. So, Cassie withdrew all of her money from her bank account and started her life on the run for five months until she was found by the X-Men.
Likes: Fashion Expensive things (especially sunglasses and eyeglasses) Cooking Soccer (which she is obsessed with) Dislikes: Being told what to do Anything romantic related The government Conflict People who seem too nice Theme Song: "Give Me Your Eyes" Brandon Heath Character Snippet: It had been five months since Cassie had first gone on the run at 16. Her college savings money had been completely depleted at least two months ago, but instead of a typical teen on the run, Cassandra Diaz was living well. She got the best hotel rooms to stay at, ate at fancy restaurants constantly, wore name brand clothes, and was able to constantly jump from one city to another using planes, trains, and buses. The last was more important as she felt she had to stay on the constant move to hide from the government. It was at LAX where she was browsing expensive shops waiting to head through security for her plane five hours later. At the posh sunglasses store, Cassie’s green eyes through her Prada eyeglasses studied the expensive sunglasses locked in glass boxes. “See anything you like, Ma’am?” Asked the worker.
Cassie nodded smiling pointing to a pair of white Gucci frame sunglasses, “Those are nice. I like them.”
“Would you like to try them on?” He asked. Cassie nodded smiling as she heard a voice in the back of her head say, Those are nice sunglasses. How do you expect to pay? Cassie turned surprised at the voice, it wouldn’t be her conscious. And, after all the gig was usual for her. She’d bat her green eyes at the store attendant and he or she would hand over the sunglasses to her for free with just a few words exchanged.
“Cassie!” A blond woman’s voice called her entering the store. Cassie narrowed her eyes at the woman dressed in white clothes that were sluttier than something Lady GaGa might wear. Behind her was a man wearing red tinted glasses. The woman smiled at Cassie and the cashier and said casually, “So is that what you want for your birthday, dear sister?” As the woman smiled at her, Cassie heard in her head the same voice as earlier, Don’t make a scene, I will take care of this. Confused Cassie watched as the blond woman addressed the man as “Scott, darling, doesn’t she have the most wonderful fashion sense?” Then addressing the man and handing over a credit card she chattered as the sunglasses rung up for a few hundred dollars about how it would be such a wonderful gift for Cassie’s birthday in four days.
Taking Cassie’s hand, the blond woman led Cassie out of the store with a shopping bag in the other hand and her quiet shadow behind her. Once fair out of the store, Cassie yanked her hand for the blond woman and snapped, “What is your problem?”
The blond woman smiled holding out the shopping bag to her and said, “Here, Happy Birthday Cassandra Diaz. My name is Emma Frost, I am a friend.”
Cassie narrowed her eyes at Emma trying to figure out if she had ever used her full power on this woman and perhaps that is why she was being so nice to her, “How do you know my name? And how do you know my birthday?”
Emma Frost smiled and the telepathic voice spoke in her head, I’m telepathic darling, a mutant just like you. Crossing her arms Cassie snapped, “Fine. What do you want with me? And who is Mister Tall and Silent Brooding with the Red Glasses?”
Scott smiled behind Emma Frost and held out a hand, “My name is Scott Summers, I am the leader of the X-Men. As an X-Man I go by Cyclops.”
“X-Men,” Cassie laughed. “Some superhero group, or something? Puh-lease. Not my cup of tea. And your girlfriend should know enough about my abilities that my power is useless for you to play superheroes with.”
“We are also teachers, Cassie,” Emma said, still holding out the bag to her. “We teach at a school for gifted youngsters like yourself. All are welcome at the school. Not all of our students are X-Men or even become X-Men some go on to lead regular lives… you miss school, right, Cassie? Imagine a place you can be safe and call home once again.”
“Not interested,” replied Cassie. “Sounds suspicious. I’m fine on my own.” Cassie, we aren’t trying to trick you. If we were the government you’d be in a cell already by now. Sighing, Cassie rolled her eyes and snapped, “Fine, and what if I don’t like it?”
“You can leave,” Scott replied.
“Fine two questions first: one, is it a habit for your girlfriend to run around half dressed in public and two, can I get a refund on my ticket to Boston?”
“Did you pay for the ticket?” Scott asked.
“Sure,“ Cassie said, blatantly lying.
Scott glanced at Emma before giving the ultimate answer: “No.” Following the two and while trying on the sunglasses Emma Frost had bought her she muttered, “I can’t believe I can’t get a refund. It is an expensive ticket. It isn’t fair if the psychic can use her power to help you and I can’t use mine to defend getting a refund…”
Powers: To make anyone love her (though how their love for her manifests differs on the person) that makes direct eye contact with her. Her secondary (though primarily used power) is the ability to make anyone do her will that makes eye contact with her even through glasses and tinted frames or through reflected gaze. Basic: Due to the fact her power is very limited, as an X-Man, she has had to make up for this with strategy and training in physical combat. Her primary power related attack is to trick someone into looking into her eyes or doing so through force. Usually she tries to talk her way out of problems buying the time to find the chance to use her ability. If that fails she will use her martial arts training to take care of problems to the best of her ability. Strengths: She is an exceptional strategist, skilled in martial arts (after all being forced to train under Wolverine tends to do that to a person), and also happens to be a very skilled shot with weaponry though she rarely uses any as that generally goes against the whole “promoting peace” that is the X-Men’s policy Flaws: (1)Cassie’s power depends on eye contact. So mirrored glasses, while it won’t reflect her own abilities onto herself, essentially renders her powers useless. (2) While she enjoys using her power, she hates the aftereffects of using her power. Finding herself feeling the love those feel for once falling under her power makes her feels empty. ◥ ◣ Name: Roxanne (Roxie) Othello Rossi Code Name : Dragonfly Played By: bribri0 Age: 17 Gender: Female Side: X-Men
Personality: Roxie is a very artistic person, and sometimes will have longings to just create. Most of the time though shes a nice cheerful person. She likes joking around and having a good time, pulling minor pranks is one of her favorite activities when shes bored. When shes in one of her moods, longing to create something, she can be a bit distant and mellow. More serious than usual. She can be serious when needed though, like if you ask her for her advice. She tends to give pretty good advice. She is smart, she just prefers to live a bit more free. History: Roxie has a mother. Her father died when she was 2. Shes an only child. Her mom has always had financial issues, but usually found ways to keep them from bankruptcy. When Roxie was introduced to painting when she was 10, she had a real aptitude in it. She got scholarships to go to differet classes and even won a few awards. Her mother struggled to keep up with it all, but they managed by moving to a smaller apartment. Roxie kept painting, and started drawing more, and getting into charcoal. All of which went well. When Roxie was 13 she started selling her art so she could make some money to help her mom with the bills. Galleries wer more than happy to show off and sell her art. She was getting good deals with them, and they were doing better. Life was easier. Whenever Roxie had a lot of stress, or just needed some fresh air, she would go to the top of their apartment building. She'd look up at the stars or the color sky at sun set and smile. Just being surrounded by tall buildings and a seemingly never ending sky made her feel instantly at peace. When she was 15 this is where she discoverred her powers. She had been feeling a lot of new aches and pains, and was growing a lot in a short period of time. Her mother thought it was a little odd, but didn't take any action. About a month after the growth spurt and pains, she was on the roof top one evening. She had this terrible ache in her back and took a deep breath to try and let the stress and pains go away. It didn't help, infact they seemed to be getting worse. She tightened her musles and then felt something grown out of her back. She blinked a few times, the pain was gone. she turned her head to look over her should to see if anything had grown. To her amazment she had a pair of dragonfly wings. She closed her eyes and tightened her musles again, and felt something go back into her back. She tried to keep it a secret, but the aches continued. She accidently let her wings grow out at school one day, and was sent immediatly home after being reticuled by everyone, staff, and students alike. From the publicity it recieved Xavior came to her and her mother and offered the school, for free. She accepted in a heart beat and has been here ever since. Likes: Chocolate Painting Drawing Sketching Watercolor Flying Laughing Charcoal Pranks Chinese food Most music and Holidays Dislikes: Discrimination Squash The term Normal and almost everything considered it. Pranks taken too far and People that strive to be normal. Theme Song: Paint it black, Rolling stones Character Snippet: Roxie woke up that morning hearing the annoying beeping of her alarm clock. She got out of bed, eyes half closed from the morning rays coming through her window. "Hmm... Morning already." She said stretching. She rolled her shoulders and winced at the pain. "I must be growing again... I can't wait till I'm older and I don't have to worry about growing..." She thought to herself. She yawned, then glanced at her calendar on the wall (one of her own creations). Her eyes went wide releasing that it was her first day of school. She mouthed something vulgar, and then said it out loud, then again louder. It was her first day back at school! She need to back a bag, do her hair, make sure her outfit was nice. Again came that vulgar word. She moved to her cluttered table in a matter of seconds, and started sorting through everything, searching desperately for her school supplies. She had bought them only a few days ago. She smiled in relief when she found them under a pile of art supplies she had also bought that day. She grabbed them and held them tightly in her hand as she moved around the room quickly looking for her bag. It was the same bag she had used since she started school, though it looked drastically different now compared to back then. Every time it ripped or got a tare she would match it. Now it was a bright quilt of a book bag. She spotted it beside her door and hastily put her supplies inside. Next thing on her list- get dressed. She finished zipping the book bag up, then quickly walked over to her closet. She'd wear something a bit more mellow since it was her first day. She grabbed a plain black tee, a pair of newer boot cut jeans, and a scarf she had tye dyed with dark blue. ([her outfit]) She Sat down on the edge of her bed putting on her socks and shoes. She stood up looking down at them, then glanced at her clock, she didn't have that much time left. She went to her mirror hanging on the wall and started brushing her hair. Once she had styled it to her liking (I'd describe it but I'm not sure yet because I haven't found a picture) she calming picked up her bag from beside her door and went down to the mansion's dining hall.
Roxie smiled while she unpeeled her banana, or breakfast, as she would call it. "First day of school already, doesn't seem like the summers over already, huh?" She said to the guy sitting across from her who was eating a bowl of cereal. He nodded, "Yeah, I wish i were at beach. Surfing seasons still not over, and the big ones haven't even come in yet." He said shaking his head as if it were a shame. "Well I wouldn't really know, I've never been surfing. It looks like fun though." Roxie said, then took a bite of her banana. The guy nodded again, "Most people haven't, but its a real blast. I could ride the waves all day back at home." He started to stare off into space with a dreamy smile on his face. Roxie shook her head smiling, and ate the rest of her banana. "Come on dream boy, we have classes to get to." She said to him, then he snapped back. "Oh, yeah." He said, as if just remembering it. They both stood up and walked out of the dining hall after throwing away their trash.
Powers: She can grow wings out of her back, from her shoulder blades. And make them grow back into her back, so retractable wings. Her wings do not look like a bird's though, they look like a dragonfly's. Mostly clear, with a tint of dark blue, darkest coming out of her back, and fading into the clear near the tips. Four wings, two on each side, about two ft in length each, with a total wingspan of a little more than four feet. Most of her bones have grown longer, and become hollow, but are a lot stronger and better built, making her able to fly and it difficult to break any bones. Because her bones have grown longer she is taller; longer fingers, arms, legs, and torso. Her feat, head, and neck haven't been affected. But because of this she is about six foot two. She has fast reflexes and above average good vision. She can create illusions by focusing and locking eyes with someone. She has to continue to focus, or else the illusion fades. Basic: She can get up to some pretty good speeds with her wings, and they work just like a dragonfly's. She uses martial arts, along with picking things up and dropping them (People and Objects). She doesn't like fighting that much and can usually escape using her wings and distracting her enemies with an illusion. Strengths: Shes good at hand to hand combat. She has pretty must mastered using her wings and the process of growing them and retracting them. Her illusions are usually very detailed, she can create a whole different world for the person if she concentrates enough. Flaws: Shes afraid of spiders. One look and she'll freeze up. Shes not the best when it comes to fights against other mutants. Illusions are what she considers her strongest point, but she has trouble focusing for long periods of time. Name: Felicia Carter Code Name : Kerana Played By: Kerana Age:16 Gender: Female
Side: X-Men Personality: Felicia's personality can be described as a most optimistic ray of sunshine. Energetic, athletic and spunky, sometimes she can be a hand full. She likes sports, especially track and field. Mostly she's simple and straight forward and gets rather curious from time to time. Academically her strengths lay in Math and English. History was a little rough for her and not her favorite subject, especially because of all the wars that happen.
Even though she had been told over and over that humans would not accept her. She still likes to think there's a small chance if they too realize their differences that they may not separate themselves so much.
History: Maria and Felix have not been financially stable for the longest time. They moved to a cabin in the middle of the woods. It was a cabin owned by one of Maria's sisters, she couldn't refuse their plea for help especially when Maria belly was swelling with new life. Felix and Maria had a lot of hope placed in their child.
The day came when their child was born. The child was born a girl with a lot of red hair and a tail. The doctors recommended that they should cut off the girl's tail so that she could live a normal life. Maria and Felix looked at one another and were aware of the possibility that their child could be a mutant. This is their child that they wanted to "correct" they did not want to change a thing about her. So the tail stayed. They noticed there were a couple little folds hidden in her hair which turn out to be ears. When the little girl was given to her mother she smiled, that's when her mother knew her name "Felicia" she said which is a name that means 'Joy'.
It was advantageous for them to live in the woods. At a very young age of 5 Felicia figured out that she could shift into a fox. Her parents explained to her over and over that she must not be among humans. That not all humans will accept her and that she would be taken away because she was different. They sent her to school in her fox form and she would listen to the classes and her parents would reinforce her teachings at home. Time flew by one day her father was in town and saw a TV showing and talking about Xavier's School of gifted youngsters. He scratched Felicia's chin and tells her focusing on her green eyes, "If something ever happened to your mother and I you must go there." he points to the building which pointed out that the school was located out in Bayville California.
One day in her 15th year government agents broke into her home and lit it on fire. The news reported it as an accidental forest fire. Felicia, knew it wasn't an accident and followed her father's words.
She embarked on a journey, maintaining her fox form out of fear. She would get to the nearest town and would sneak at night for a map and a bite to eat. The security cameras captured it but the guards simply thought it as a weird fluke. She followed the roads the highways checking the map as she went. At a gas station she would listen to people's conversations and if someone was heading in her direction she'd follow them and sneak a ride in their car, then get off at their next stop. It took several months before she made it to Bayville, now she's so close to the Xavier's Institute she needed to find someone who would know where it was. She hopes that they would take her in but also hopes that some how they could help her save her parents.
Likes: Chocolate, Running, Being cheerful, food in general (especially her mother's home cooking, Hunting
Dislikes: Wars, discrimination and peanut butter
Theme Song:King of Anything Sara Bareilles
Character Snippet: Felicia and her family were sitting down for dinner. "Yeaahhh!" Felicia squealed with excitement. Dinner was just finished being prepared and it smelled good. Felicia always looked forward to her mother's cooking. "Calm down Felicia you'll get your share soon enough." her father said to calm her excitement. Her mother served her food and her eyes widen. "Dinner looks soo good!" her tail wagged and could barely restrain herself from just starting. Part of it was the rabbit she had caught during the hunt with her dad this morning.
After grace was said Felicia starts taking a taste of everything. Not as refined as most people. Then the door exploded with sound of it being busted in by government agents. Felicia's mouth parted with food all over it. "Felix and Maria Garcia! You are under arrest for housing a mutant!" quicker than Felicia could react they grabbed her and her parents tight. She struggled, "L-let them go! They didn't do anything! It's me you want! I'm the mutant! Please... let them go!" "FELICIA! Remember what I told you! Remember what I told you to do if something happened to us!" her father called out to her. Felicia hesitated, if this means what she thought it means, there may be a chance that she won't see them again. "No Dad! I don't want to leave you!" her eyes begin to well. "Please Felicia don't argue with your father! It won't do any good if all of us are caught. Por favor Felicia vaya con Dios." Go with God?...She's serious. Mom only speaks Spanish when she's really serious...I don' want to do it... but if I don't... who will save them? They started dragging them toward the black van hand cuffing her parents, "Get the collar for the mutant, it will numb her powers." Felicia's eyes widen if they get that collar, she wouldn't be much help. She breaths out to calm her self, "I love you mom and dad! I'll come back for you I promise" tears were about to fall out as she started to shift. Quickly she starts to shift slipping out of the guard's hand. She shifted so quickly that a tear fell in mid air she was in her fox form. She had no time to pause longingly before she had to run off. Her ears turn back and heard someone shout "Get the tranquilizer gun! Get her!"
Felicia ran as fast a she could. There was something in the air it smelt like smoke, knowing everything was lost. The home she grew up and the family that raised her were both taken away from her. The fire spread quickly as the van drove off. They gave up when they received orders to capture another mutant, leaving the little fox alone to see her home covered with flames. Tears streaked her furry face. It had been so long since she last felt sadness, she couldn't help but feel completely helpless. Was there anything I could have done? No... I was out numbered and I don't think I could have taken them...
Felicia walked for a long time until she walked passed the TV store in town. It was the same one her father pointed out to her. Her ears turned as the news reported on the forest fire. The news called this utter injustice a natural forest fire. Felicia growled at the news report she lowered her head looking at the TV and raising her tail in anger. It came to an abrupt stop when she saw the Xavier Institute and she remembered what her father said. If something happened to them, go to the Xavier Institute. Calmed and with a new sense of hope she started on her journey leading her there.
Powers: Felicia can shift from a mostly human form to a fox.
Basic: Her nails are more solid and thick than that of a human's, she sharpens them and uses that to claw her opponent. She will need to learn martial arts to make better use of them though.
Strengths: She's fast and stealthy. She knows how to hunt and at times she can be crazy like a fox.
Flaws:Easily trusts people and is easily manipulated

The Brotherhood Name: Jacqueline Gallia Hook Code Name : Sparks Played By: GaleForceZero Age: 19 Gender: Female Side: Brotherhood
Personality: Jacqueline like most Mutants had an interesting life that led her at one point her life to become quite, reserved, not wanting attention from anyone. Which is a big difference from how she normally acted before the world turned against her and friends became harder to find. Though now that she has found a place where she can be safe and feels protected Jacqueline has begun to turn back into her old self. Her shell broke away revealing a charismatic young lady, though she was never really fond of her extremely feminine name and prefers to go by her Code Name, Sparks or Jac and definitely not the nickname given to her by Quicksilver after he met her along with Magento for the first time, Princess. She never really found the name fitting as while she is indeed girly with her love of sun dresses and romantic movies she's not afraid to get dirty and knows when she has to, especially with dealing with the Brotherhood, as her brother's taught her the hard way. She can easily keep up with the boys and being with the Brotherhood has given her a bit of an attitude and ego. Jac, hates to lose at anything, even a card game.
In comparison to the other members of the, Jac actually cares about school and tries to get good grades as well as keep them out of trouble. She knows there's a time and a place for certain things, and school is a place to learn. Not start fights. Not to say she's opposed to fighting, as Jac is constantly fighting with her housemates over the remote or who gets one of the bathrooms first. Yet, she doesn't always agree with the methods of Magento, she doesn't think that the regular people should be hurt nor the politicians, who go against her kind. When on these missions, Jac tries not to be as involved she generally stays by the car or just takes out surveillance. There are a few people she doesn't mind going after though, those being the agents of the government who try to capture Mutants.
History: Born in the late spring, Jacqueline's mother was very happy to finally have a daughter as she had three boys before her little girl came into the world. Jacqueline however, wasn't the little girl her mother always dreamed of having, because when you grow up with boys and a father whose a mechanic its hard to not be a bit rough. Her family was very loving and supportive and with three older brothers it was safe to say little Jacqueline was taken care of. The person she bonded the most with was her father, she remembered going with him to his shop and handing him the tools he needed while wearing her favorite pair of pink overalls. She'd always come home covered in grease, causing her mother to shriek at her dirtiness and resulted in many hated baths.
As she grew older she was given the job of answering the phones at her father's shop, a fair compromise between her who wanted to be close to her father and help him and her mother who wanted her daughter to be more lady like. She of course didn't stay tied up answering phones all day, as she would go and help her father, as now that she was older she could actually get under the cars with him and help fix them. It was then that she began to notice it. The mechanics of the cars just clicked with her, she could find a problem and fix it. Her father was amazed, as were her brother's jealous that a girl, let alone their little sister, was better at fixing cars than them. Her father just assumed she had the inner workings of a true mechanic and left it at that, not bothering to tell his wife.
Things got stranger though as time went on. Jacqueline earned the nickname Sparks from her brothers as every time she touched them, they received a static shock. No matter where she was, she was always shocking people or things. She wasn't sure what was happening and she even stopped wearing socks in the house. As time based, the shocking got stronger, one day she left a burn mark on her father. She was bit scared by what was happening to her, so she kept to herself, the only friends she had were the cars she fixed. When she worked on the cars it was like they spoke to her and it wasn't just cars it was any machine that had the slightest problem from a screw loose to a broken part.
She began to feel like a freak and wanted answers as to why these things were happening to her. It was then that she stumbled across articles online about Mutants. She was afraid, Mutants were bad people, they were freaks, and they were being hunted. She couldn't be that. Jacqueline abandoned her search as her shocking people began to calm down, she thought maybe it was just a phase. It wasn't until her seventeenth birthday that she began to notice the sparks coming back. She also began to notice some changes in her self, she had more energy and she also had more control over the sparks. She decided she wanted to test theory that perhaps she was in fact a Mutant. Taking a car from her father's shop she drove out to an old forgotten farm house and tested herself. Nothing happened. Well no, that was a lie, something did happen just not what she expected. A few small sparks come from her hands, nothing big just enough to confirm her fears. Yet when the sparks came from her she felt like it was right, not something bad. In fact she didn't think she was a bad person, so why did the government want to track down the Mutants? Confused she played around in the barn for a few more hours grasping her powers learning to control them somewhat.
When she returned home she saw another car, one she had never seen before in her driveway. Her throat tightened, as she walked up the steps she felt something in her mind. She didn't like it, peering into the window she saw two men in with her parents. Her mother was crying, saying it couldn't be. Her father was strong as ever nodding along with what the men where saying. She looked at the men, one was in a wheelchair the other had sunglasses on. She found it very odd for someone to wear sunglasses inside let alone at night. She listened closely to the conversation, the words she heard made her panic. "Mutant.... She can't be.... I don't want to either but, its the right choice. They have to take her." Those last words from her father caused the clump in her throat to erupt into a sob. No, her family was selling her out to Mutant hunters. She didn't want that, she saw what they did to the Mutants in those places. It was basically jail.
So she ran, Jacqueline ran to the car she had drove home in and sped of into the night. In her rear view mirror she saw the men leave her house and her mother run out calling her name. Her vision was blurred, it hurt. Her own family, her father of all people turning against her. After a few hours of driving and after she could cry no more, she realized she had no where to go. She didn't know where to go, where she would be safe. She felt alone and missed her brothers, her mother, and her father. All her friends were gone as well, she wouldn't be able to go back. She felt like crying but nothing would come out. She drove straight for two weeks only stopping to get another car. She didn't have any money so she stole cars from parking lots, using her powers to hot wire them. She remembered when she saw him, the first Mutant to show her sympathy, the firs Mutant to understand her pain. He called himself Magento and while he scared her to the point of being immobile during their first meeting she has slowly begun to shed her fear and turn it into respect. After all if it wasn't for him she would of never met the Brotherhood, who became a new family to her. Likes: Fixing things Rainy days Shopping Chocolate Cake Flowers Going to the Beach School Dislikes: The Mutant Hunters Cooking/Baking Pollen Shy People The man in the wheelchair Sunglasses guy Theme Song: All eye's on me Character Snippet: Head pressing against the warm steering wheel, Jacqueline had her eyes closed tired from another long day of driving. Her pale blue eyes opened lazily as she sat up, rubbing her forehead from the impression left by the wheel, she groaned leaning back in the seat of her latest find, a 1980 black coupe style Corvette. It was a great find, but she felt guilty for taking it as it was in really good condition, but there was just something about older cars that made her heart flutter and her hands tingle. She couldn't help herself from taking this beauty, though she knew once it ran out of gas she'd have to let it go. She sighed and jumped as the lights in the rest stop turned on suddenly.
Glancing around she saw no one and fear began to take hold. Had they found her? What would they do to her? The questions raced in her mind as she felt a knot develop in her throat. It was then in the distance that she saw a glimpse of red coming towards her, her hand went to her door only to be foiled as the door wouldn't open. Oh s**t, is this one of those rigged car shows? A stream of curse words went through her mind as she fought with the door, trying to open it but it just wouldn't budge. She turned to kicking the door and as she did she felt the car surge upwards into the air. A scream escaped her and looking out the window she saw the red clad figure standing in front of her his hand raised. Was he the one doing this? The man spoke answering her question, "Hello Jacqueline, don't worry my dear I mean you no harm. I only wish to speak with you and offer you something."
Swallowing, Jacqueline nodded her head not know how to respond. The man seemed pleased with that response and set the car back down and as he did another joined appearing almost from no where. He opened her door and helped her out, his eyes on her, watching her close incase she was going to run. Standing next to the car and the new person, her eyes went from the boy that had helped her out of her car to the man in red who had some kind of strange helmet on his head. Standing straighter she spoke, her voice shaking, "H-ho-how do you know my n-ame."
The man chuckled, "We've been watching you for some time now Jacqueline and I will not lie to you, your gifts are quite extraordinary. I have a proposition for you my dear."
Looking down she felt her face go red, it had been so long since she had talked to other people let alone have someone compliment her on what she thought was far from a gift, but rather a burden. Her eyes went to the boy alongside her, he had a bored look on his face. He looked at her and smirked, making her turn back to the man in red, "I don't think so.... What kind of proposition?"
"The chance to show the world what use Mutants really are. We are superior, the next generation. I want to world to know this and let us be at peace. My proposition is for you to join my Brotherhood of Mutants and fight for my cause."
It was a lot to take in, Jacqueline looked down for a moment. She wasn't entirely in agreement on what the man had said but she did want fight for peace, because that was the only way she thought that the Mutant kind would get it. Nodding her head she smiled slightly, "I'm in Mr..."
"I am Magento my dear." The man turned to the boy beside her, "Quicksilver take her to the Brotherhood, make sure she gets acquainted with the others. And take the car, I don't want you giving our newest member wind burn."
With that the man called Magento vanished away from the area leaving an uncomfortable Jacqueline alone with the boy whose name appeared to be Quicksilver. He pointed her towards the passenger door, "I'm driving." Nervous, she listened to his orders and climbed into the passenger seat and placed her hand over the dash, letting her power flow, giving the car a jump and letting its engine roar. The boy looked at her and shrugged, he didn't seem to interested in her. The drive was a quite one and she was relieved when he pulled into a gas station to fill up the tank. She patted the dash, she didn't want to let this car up. When he climbed back in he looked at her, "Well Princess, start it up."
Jacqueline blinked, had he really just called her 'Princess'? She cringed at the nickname but did what he asked and the began a drive of silence again. As they entered California she looked to him, "I have a name you know."
He looked at her, "Yea but its to fancy for me, so I think Princess sums you right up."
She felt offended by his bashing of her name, sure it was a bit much and way to girly for her she snapped back, "Well what kind of name is Quicksilver?"
"That's just my code name. My real name is Pietro."
She frowned, "Code name?"
Pietro looked at her with a confused look, "Yes a code name Princess. It's just something we use so the government scum bags don't know our real names. They kind of sum up our powers, mine Quicksilver is 'cuz I got superhuman speed and well the hair. If you can't think of one I guess we can call you Princess." He smirked at her, causing her face to flush. She looked away her arms crossed, she needed to get used to the teasing. She had been away from her brother's constant teasing for to long and didn't know how to react.
Thinking of her brother's reminded her of something, "Sparks. Pietro gave her a funny look he was about to speak when she cut him off, "Call me Sparks for code name I guess and Jac any other time. So there you have no reason to call me Princess." She sat smug her arms still crossed as she stuck her tongue out at him. He laughed and spoke again, "Thats what you think Princess."
Powers: Jacqueline has a superhuman intuitive talent for repairing mechanical devices, backed up by the ability to visually perceive mechanical energy in action. This power allows her to instinctively recognize the potential and functional uses of any machine or technological device in his visual range, a skill that combined with her natural intelligence gives her the ability to operate, modify and disassemble existing technology. In combination to this Jas also can generate massive quantities of electricity, theoretically up to approximately one million volts. She can employ this electrostatic energy as lightning arcs from her fingertips, and her maximum charge is more than enough to kill a normal human. When her body is charged to high levels, she becomes superhumanly strong and fast. Basic: Her attacks can vary, from a lightning infused fist to a bolt crackling out from her hand. She has learned that its important to be balanced in both close and ranged combat, though she is better suited for ranged. Strengths: While she can be a bit of a space cadet, she is a quick thinker when the situation calls for it and she deals well under pressure. She has quite a bit of endurance due to driving cross country for a year of her life. Flaws: Jacqueline has yet to master full control over her powers and she can easily lose focus causing her lightning to become sporadic and random. She also has limited electrical power stored in her body, though it is assumed the older she becomes the more she can store. When she used up her electrical powers it can take her up to an hour to recharge as open electrical sources don't suffice. Though for some reason, real lightning recharges her fully, giving her some energy to spare. This has only happened once and by accident, an experience that Jacqueline would rather pass on recreating.
◥ ◣ Name: Catherine Smithe Code Name : Shadow Walker /Trinity (X-Men) Played By: PixelMuse Age: 18 Gender: Female Side: Brotherhood
Personality: Catherine had always been the quiet and shy type. She isolated herself further when she found that she wasn't normal. Catherine was the type that didn't want to inconvenience anyone, especially her parents. She has been a great student, straight As, which made her a prime target for teasing. She would normally spend her time in the library in silence reading books, there she felt at peace.
History: Catherine was born into a rich and privileged family. She lived in a mansion away from the rest of civilization. She didn't seem to care for the lifestyle she has and didn't really like looking down on people. There had been times where she wished she was a normal average kid that could easily blend in the crowd as she pleased.
On her 16th birthday, it was a private party of among her parents, maids and butlers that serve her family. Her parents made her wear some designer dress and she went down the stairs. The cake looked like a wedding cake but on the side of the 3 tiers was "Happy Birthday Catherine". This was a typical birthday for her, with photographs and elaborate presents. As it was time to blow out the candles, the lights dimmed out and she closes her eyes and made a wish to go to Disney World. Her family and servants watched as she fell through her shadow causing the candles to blow out. It was a dark night at the Smithe estate. When Catherine opened her eyes she found her wish came true. She really was at Disney World. As she steps out of a dark corner she wondered how her folks managed to pull this off. She looked around and did not find them in site. She began to become worried and wondered if she had been kidnapped. She holds her arms close not because she was cold but because she was nervous. Catherine started to think, if she wished herself over here certainly she could wish herself back. She tried, but it was too bright of an area to try. Realizing this didn't work and not wanting to be seen or recognized she quickly went and hid in a dark ally. She closed her eyes and as wishing herself back home. She opened them again and found herself in her room that had its lights out. From then on, her parents saw her differently.
Since that day her parents were ashamed of her daughter and as her mutation progressed, her ears were more pointy. Her hair color faded to a purple. They had tried dying her hair but the dyes did not last long enough. So they had her use a wig to hide her ears and hair color.
Her parents had decided that they would raise her until she was 18. By then she was on her own. They did not know of any college or school that would accept mutants. Her 18th birthday was the saddest day of her life she had been kicked out, disowned by her parents labeled as "not one of us anymore". On this stormy day while she sits out the curb is where her story begins.
Likes: books video games movies fancies the number 3 (especially when she learned that it was her numerological number) being useful volley ball
Dislikes: being teased conflict discrimination especially against mutants Theme Song: Clubbed to Death Character Snippet: Catherine couldn't believe what had happened and had cried for a very long time. She was drenched from head to toe next to the one suit case her parents let her have. What did I do to deserve this? I never asked to be different. *sniff* As cars drove by drenching her in more water she didn't care, she was a soaked as she could get. Then suddenly the rain stopped at least she looks up and wipes her eyes and noticed that it didn't stop raining that something else had blocked the little droplets from falling on her. She saw an umbrella floating over her. Not far from her was a man in a read helm. His eyes smiled which reminded her of her grandfather's eyes. "What are you doing out here my child?" the man asks. She wasn't sure about the man calling her 'his child' especially if it is a guy who she never met and somehow has a floating umbrella. Not knowing what else to do or where to go, she answers him. "My parents, they... they just kicked me out... they said I wasn't one of them anymore..." "Ah... I see. Your parents are mere humans who don't understand our gifts." Gifts? the girl's face was still confused by what he meant and still did not make the connection. With a grin on his face the man waved his other hand causing the tips of the gate to the mansion to bend. Her eyes widened."You're... you're..." "The next phase in the evolution of man my dear, which the humans have addressed us as mutants. Like your parents they have outcast many of our kind because of what we are capable of. My gift is my ability to manipulate magnetic fields. Thus my brethren call me Magneto" he manipulated the gate back to its original state. "Show me your gift my dear and be proud of it." Catherine stood up. She has not taken the time to really learn how to use her powers well but she was able to figure out enough that if she thought in a dark area of where she wanted to be she would emerge from another dark area. She demonstrated this by wishing she was behind the man named Magneto. As she did she sinks into her shadow and emerges from behind Magneto. Magneto thought that she would prove most useful to the Brotherhood. "I would like for you to join my family will you come with me? You shall be reborn and your new name will be Shadow Walker." She gladly picked up her suitcase and followed Magneto. Powers: Right now she has the ability to teleport through shadow. She has the ability to manipulate shadows but doesn't know how yet. Basic: If the shadow was dark enough she can drop through her shadow as if it was a hole and fall out of another shadow. When she learns to manipulate her shadow she could form a pair of fists and pound things. Strengths: Since her mutation surfaced she was a lot better in athletics, flexible and very agile. Flaws: Easily depressed. Too trusting. Name: Alexander William Diaz Code Name : Warp Played By: mc2 Age: 22 Gender:male Side: Brotherhood affiliation
Personality: Alexander has great amount of control on a very powerful mutant ability, and he knows it, which lends to a cocky persona that he carries around. Much like his younger sister he is blessed with both brains and looks which he prides himself on. However, he does have good intentions, regardless of his shallow appearances. Since joining up with the brotherhood (or as he puts it 'tolerating it while it serves my purposes'), he has gotten used to using his powers even more frequently then he did when he was in the circus. Alexander tends to not be much of a team player, seeing much of the brotherhood as juvenile and irresponsible, particularly Quicksilver. However, he doesn't seem to care enough about the group to try to take position of leader. History: Alexander William Diaz was the first born child to a lawyer and professor in Austin, Texas. He was a pretty child and intelligent, but not unusual besides being the top of his class and skipping a grade or two in elementary school. Everything changed in Junior high (7th grade for him) though when he was 10, being one of the smaller boys in his grade he found himself constantly in fights, but this he usually dealt with. Never mentioning to his parents that any bruises he had were from brawls instead from his own “clumsiness.” Alexander didn’t care about the physical fights, but there was lines that shouldn’t be crossed. His classmates framed him for cheating on one of his exams, and that was when Alexander’s rage exploded. Fed up, he declared his innocence and claimed that the teachers were in a conspiracy against him. When the teacher pulled out the answer guide that had been planted in his school bag it was found that what had once been genuine was now a blank piece of paper splattered in ink. When he got home, his parents demanded to know the truth. Angry and confused, Alexander exploded. Around him force fields began to take shape, things disappeared into the floor or ceiling, other things floated, some things shattered only to fix again in a continuous loop. It was then that the Diazes realized their oldest son was a mutant. Thinking it best to protect him by taking him out of school they began to home school him, forbade him to go to college no matter how good he did in his studies, and he excelled, forbade him to speak to anyone about his powers and to avoid content with the outside world. Alexander followed the rules till he graduated at 17, and decided to set out on his own, claiming he didn’t want to further endanger his family, which was partially true, after all there was Cassie to consider. And, he joined the first place that seemed accepting of his kind: a traveling circus at the state fair in town. Since then, though, he had kept in contact with his family, primarily for his sister’s sake, he rarely looked back. Ever since becoming a part of the Brotherhood, he has even less frequently looked back, in fact the last time he talked to his parents was over two months ago if he remembers correctly. This year, in the Brotherhood being one of the older members, Alexander finds him placed in a more guardianship position at times, which has been only emphasized this school year when Magneto managed to somehow wrangle a teaching job at Bayville High School for Alexander Diaz as a Latin teacher and boy's soccer coach. Likes: Teaching causing havoc against the government and anti-mutant groups sleeping in showing off flirting Dislikes: being told what to do show offs (besides himself, of course) the government those who are too weak to see that in reality humans and mutants can never co-exist. snide comments about his former profession in the circus (never call him the human pincushion). Theme Song: "Just Like You" Three Days Grace Character Snippet: "And now I present a trick that none of you have seen ever before- unless you've seen me perform before that is," laughed Alexander Diaz as he handed several swords to his assistant. "My lovely assistant Cameron will now proceed to pierce me one by one with a total of eleven swords. Ready Cameron?" The assistant nodded sighing as she slid the first sword slowly into Alexander's chest. Smiling, Alexander joked that it was a bit sharp as the act continued.
Ten minutes later in a cloud of dust the two left the stage, Alexander still a human pincushion as the advertisements of the circus proclaimed. Once backstage he pulled the swords out one by one. Cameron looked at him oddly seeing the clean swords clatter on the floor back stage. "I still don't see how that trick works," she said.
Alexander smiled thinking of his abilities he used to simply make the swords phase through him and replied, "It's magic."
"Oye! Alexander," called one of the acrobats who was up in a few acts who usually held his phone for him. Alexander turned and caught his cell that the acrobat tossed him. "You're mom called judging by the caller ID. Actually she called twice."
Alexander raised a brow and was about to answer when the phone rang again, swearing he snapped, as he picked up the phone, "God, woman. I'm here okay? What's up, you never call me, let alone three times in one night..." as he spoke, Alexander walked out of the tent and headed towards his own tent in the empty camp where the workers were staying. After his sharp words, he almost regretted it as he heard his mother gulp back a sob. It was hard to feel sympathetic for the woman who basically, along with his father, banned him from going to college as "it would be a danger with what you are."
Sighing, Alexander said, "Sorry, Mom, I just got off stage. Being used as a human pincushion, even if it doesn't hurt me, tends to put me in a bad mood. What is up?"
"Ca-Cassie..." his mother squeaked out before sobbing. "She... She was attacked and-and..."
"What?!" Alexander shouted into the phone. "What do you mean-"
"It was... it is because...she has a stalker, maybe several," his mother began in a rush. "He tried to kill her and himself. Don't worry she didn't get hurt from that. But... but she's- she's like you."
"She can create force fields that manipulate realities too?" Alexander asked sarcastically.
"No! Just shut-up and listen," snapped his mother, before lowering her voice to a hiss, as if she was saying something dirty, "She's a mutant."
"So? That isn't too unexpected," replied Alexander. "Let me talk to Cassie. Is she okay? I'm sure she is a little rattled and you guys won't be any help."
"You can't," his mother said quickly. "She had to go on the run, but, but... she should be okay with her mutation, maybe..."
"What is it then?" Alexander said.
"To make people love her," snapped her mother. "How can someone be able to do things like that? Why does my little girl have to be one of you people too."
"Um, Mom, you know I'm your kid too," sighed Alexander. "So, let me guess you have no idea where she is? Where she is going and all that? And I really doubt her power is 'love'. That is ridiculous. Things aren't so simple. You should know that with me. Anyhow, I have to think. So, I'll uh- talk to you later. Bye." Sighing he hung up the phone and turned it off. He turned seeing a tall proud looking older gentleman watching him.
Narrowing his blue eyes at the man he reached onto his belt pulling out some of his throwing daggers, "Show yourself! How much did you hear? That was a private conversation..."
The man stepped out of the shadow smiling as the daggers flew out of Alexander's hand, "Alexander Diaz, I mean you no harm. I am an ally or I can be: it is up to you, my boy. I must admit though, I heard about your situation. I'm sorry about the danger your sister has been put on by foolish humans."
"Um, if you haven't noticed, we're human too," snapped Alexander.
"No, my boy, we are HomoSuperior, evolved better than humans," smirked the man. "You can call me Magneto, and I plan on leading the mutant race into a world where we rule. Where we don't have to hide in fear. Where your sister's gift- your gift- is celebrated not an object of hatred." Smiling he held out a hand, "Join me, join the Brotherhood and help make this future happen if not for your sake, for your sister's." Alexander narrowed his eyes at Magneto but said nothing. Sighing, Magneto said, turning and beginning to walk away, "Someone who is able to alter reality such as yourself should be able to see the possibilities of this future. It is a shame you'd rather be made a spectacle of..."
"Wait!" Alexander called out. "Your Magneto, right? You control metal..." Magneto nodded smiling to himself, he could see the boy's wheel's turning already. "Call me Warp: I'm in on one condition."
"Of course," Magneto said.
"Don't get my sister involved in this mess, she's not a fighter."
Magneto nodded, "I promise not to bring her into it personally, but unfortunately with how the world is now she may have to learn to be a fighter."
"I know, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it," smiled Alexander shaking Magneto's hand.
"Very well, welcome to the Brotherhood then Warp," said Magneto meeting Alexander's gaze and smiling.
Powers: Alexander is able to reject reality or 'warping reality' as he calls it. This warping is dependent on force fields that Alexander makes using his powers. Essentially Alexander creates a force field around the target he is focused on, and any object in his force field he can cause to float, to phase through objects, destroy an object by rejecting its existence resulting in a pile of dust, and even reassemble an object if it is broken. Basically, anything in his force fields are bound to his whim. Basic: He tends to use throwing daggers which he will occasionally changes using his power mid trajectory. Alexander much rather use his enemy's attack against him or her. His primary defensive move is to create a force field around himself warping the air around him to reject the existence of any coming attack. Strengths: Besides his mutant ability, and quick hand at dagger throwing, Alexander is skilled at "gimmicky tricks" such as sword swallowing and magic tricks, though these skills are useless in battle. Alexander is also fluent in Spanish and Latin, which looks far better on paper, according to Alexander, than useful in actuality. Flaws: Alexander’s powers while immense are limited to approximately a ten meter radius around him, thus, making him weak on distance attacks. The closer an object is to him the easier it is for him to manipulate. One of his greatest weaknesses, though is a fault of his personality, he does have a brother complex for those younger than him and worries about screwing up and putting others in danger that matter to him, making him often waiver when it comes to decision making. He also has quite a temper that usually just simmers on a back burner, but when his anger finally explodes he has been known to loose control of his powers briefly.
