- Character Personality Juri has a very polite but sadistic personality. He enjoys watching others suffer, but dislikes suffering himself. He is also very inquisitive, often taking things apart to see how they fit together. His greatest interest, though, is in living creatures, due to his obsession with pain. He has an oral fixation and always has a lollipop in his mouth (his hood is filled with the treats). He also has a habit of pulling his hood over his face when extremely pleased. Despite his innocent face, Juri unnerves most people. This is attributed mostly to his cold eyes which betray his eternal smile, but is more aptly blamed on his strange affliction, which induces suspicion.

- Bio: Shirato Juri's time in the human world was short. He was born to a German man and his Japanese wife in a Kyoto inn. But before he had even taken his first breath, a large fire had begun to consume the building. His first taste of air was poisoned the smell of a thick smoke. He died, minutes old, and next awoke in the 77th District of South Rukongai, Kyūgen (Rotting Dog), a run-down city with well-meaning people. Juri was adopted by a kind man, Moro Yasutaru, one of the few doctors in Kyūgen. Juri's name was given to him by Yasutaru because of a strange premonition he had had: a white bridge (shirato) descending onto a vermillion city (juri). Juri grew up with a heavy thirst for knowledge, which was eagerly encouraged by his adoptive father. As he grew, Juri's burgeoning spiritual powers began to blossom, manifesting in a strange way that would change the course of his life forever.
In the 77th District of South Rukongai suspicion began to spread like a disease. It started small. A few lost objects reported as theft. A few uneventful fires labeled as arson. But it grew quickly. Neighbours accused each other of spying, good friends spouted charges of adultery, family members suspected each other of plotting their demise. These flashes of paranoia often began slowly but ended abruptly. And nowhere was it more prevalent than in Juri's household. His father became obsessed with the idea that there was some sort of malicious entity waiting for him in every shadow, under every floor board, in every room. As Yasutaru's mind slowly deteriorated and as the town grew ever more paranoid (no longer in flashes, but in prolonged scenes of distrust), Juri could only find solace in his two best friends, the brothers Toran and Rando, who seemed immune to the suspicions of the townsfolk.
All in all, despite the raging disquiet of Kyūgen, Juri lived many happy years. His friends, especially Toran, often helped him when his adoptive father went into fits and helped cheer Juri up. When suspicious eyes were turned on him, it was Toran who turned them away. But his peaceful days would not last, for one thing was certain: distrust swelled in Juri's presence. The townspeople began to formulate superstitions. They began to believe that their fear and ill fortunes were the curses of some demon witch, and as these beliefs gained credence Juri's luck ran out. Kyūgen was in a rage. They blamed Juri for all their misfortunes, claiming that he had weaved a poison into the very town. They built a pyre, calling it a sacrifice to the gods, and nearly succeeded in burning Juri on a stake. It was the agility and quick thinking of Toran that saved the boy. He was freed and they both ran, the whole of Kyūgen at their heals, for three days, right until the townsfolk stopped their pursuit.
Toran and Juri continued up through the districts of South Rukongai, up to the Southern Gate of the Seireitei. Hoping that Juri's spiritual power would be enough to allow him entrance into the Shinigami Academy., Toran told the boy to apply. He hoped that Juri would be safe as a Shinigami, and wished him luck before returning to the 77th District. Juri's power proved to be enough and he trained within the academy for a few years, excelling in Kidō, and eventually graduating. During his time there he learned about a unique disease within him which emitted a wave of suspicion on those with weak reiatsu. This uncontrollable affliction had caused paranoia to run rampant and it was the cause of the townspeople's behaviour. Having created a suppressor, and hoping that his explanations and his status as Shinigami would eschew their hatred, Juri went to visit his father and friend.
Upon arriving at Kyūgen, Juri was greeted with ice cold glares. Despite his best efforts his explanations, even hi status, were not enough to convince the populace that he was not an agent of evil. They believed that he had bewitched the Shinigami into granting him protection. They bid him leave, but Juri refused without first seeing Toran and Rando. It was his father, long since cured of his paranoid delusions who broke him the news. Toran was killed upon his return to the village, burned to ash in Juri's place. Juri's heart broke. When one angry villager came up behind him to attack, a freezing fury broke out. Juri severed the man's throat with his activated zanpakutō, poisoning his body with a deep pain greater than any the man had ever felt. As he was about to leave, Rando, the only one who was not apprehensive of the boy, came and gave him a memento. It was a Buudhist bead meant for good look that Toran had planned to give to Juri before the townsfolk accosted him. With that, the last shreds of Juri's humanity evaporated and he returned to the Seireitei, smiling and empty.

- Character Description: Juri has a lithe, boyish body; lightly toned. His face bears a cherubic appearance, but his eyes have vulgar slant to them. The burned soles of his feet are the only imperfections found on Juri's entire body. His skin is light and bright.
- Character Attire: Juri wears a variation of the Shinigami Shihakusho, with a hooded sleeveless haori, burgundy shitagi (the white undershirt of the standard shihakushō), burgundy tabi, and a black obi. He does not wear sandals as he finds them uncomfortable.

- Zanpakutō Spirit Appearance: [ Enenra takes the form of a beautiful woman with an elegant face and smoky black hair. She always bears a regal expression akin to a porcelain mask and has flawless gray-toned skin. She wears long white sleeves that appear to threaded by a thousand strings of smoke and a slender black and white dress with a perfectly ruffled cravat. Her boots rise just below the knee, and has the same smoke-like movement on it as all the black on her body.
- Zanpakutō Sealed Form: In its sealed form, Enenra is a normal 50 centimeter long wakazashi with a black hilt and tsuba. Toran's charm, a red Buddha bead, is attached to the butt of the hilt by a white ribbon.
- Zanpakutō Shikai Activation Statement: Like silk, embrace. Like wool, scratch. Enenra!/絹（きぬ）のように、抱（だ）け。 羊毛（ようもう）のように、掻（か）け。焔々羅！
- Zanpakutō Shikai Name: Enenra's Sleeve/Enenra no Sode (焔々羅の袖) and Enenra's Stake/Enenra no Kui (焔々羅の杭)
- Zanpakutō Shikai Appearance Enenra's tantō elongates into an enchanting white blade with a silver white hilt (Enenra no Kui). The white ribbon of Toran's charm elongates to about 60 centimeters. The sheath issues out a black smoke that solidifies into a 30 centimeter wide 4 meter long length of silky ribbon (Enenra no Sode). The smoky is constantly in motion, and smoke-like pattern seems to move at a different speed.
- Zanpakutō Shikai Abilities
*Ribbon Dance: Enenra no Sode is used mostly to defend against attacks. It often spins around Juri, blocking attacks from all angles. It can also be used to trap opponents and throw them about. On a different level, the smoky patterns on the ribbon help to confuse others, masking some of Juri's movements.
*Takibi (Bonfire): Enenra no Kui is able to release an ethereal fire. While the flame causes no physical damage, it does cause an intense pain. Juri can also use his Takibi like a poison: by stabbing his blade into the opponent he can pour the flames into their body igniting every pain receptor as it slowly spreads throughout the body.
*Dispersion: By calling out the last part of Enenra's activation phrase, “Like cotton, bloom./綿（わた）のように、咲（さ）け,” Enenra's Sleeve disperses into a thick smoke that covers a 30 meter radius. This blocks the perception of reiatsu, allowing Juri to assassinate foes without being seen or sensed. Within the smoke, Juri is unable to perform Takibi, as it swallows up pain; meaning that even a swipe of his blade produce little more than a sense of pressure. This gives the opponent the added deficit of not knowing how much damage he's actually taken, with the benefit of being able to fight on with one less distraction (that is, if they're hearing is good enough to perceive Juri's location).

- Zanpakutō Bankai Name: Enenra Hagoromo (焔々羅羽衣) Enenra Feather Robe
- Zanpakutō Bankai Appearance: When activated, Enenra no Kui evanesces and Enenra no Sode raps around Juri becoming a black cloudy robe. After the cloak is set, Enenra no Kui reappears as a giant slightly translucent white creature wearing a porcelain mask (Johakyū). The creature crawls around on its many hands and has a wide mouth under its mask, with wide silver, razor-edged teeth.
- Zanpakutō Bankai Abilities
*Kuraten (Darkened Revolve): With his robe, Juri is able to dissolve into smoke and move quickly through the air, rematerializng elsewhere. In this form he is completely unaffected by any attack at the price of not being able to attack himself. This ability is immensely quick, dispersing and coalescing at twice the speeds of an average Shunpō.
*Kurogo (Black Clothes): Juri can produce arms from his cloak which can extend great distances. They're used mainly to grab and throw opponents, but have little substance. With enough force, they can be cut, but they regrow within twenty seconds.
*Johakyū (Beginning-Break-Rapid): Johakyū is made entirely of white heavenly fire (Tenen). Like Takibi, the fire causes no physical harm, but it does inflict massive amounts of pain. Being touched by the Johakyū is akin to being slowly flayed alive by a thousand sheets of paper twenty times over. Along with that, the mask can expel its normal Takibi in large jets. Being swallowed whole by the zanpakutō is a far worse fate then being chewed up by it, as the intense agony that rockets through the body is enough to cause the body to completely shut down, killing the opponent without a single lethal blow.

Kidō
- Bakudō:
1. Restrain (塞, sai)-Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa)-An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
8. Repulse (斥, seki)- Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it
9. Strike (撃, geki)- Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!
9. Disintegrating Circle (hōrin)- Causes an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to erupt from the users hand and attempt to trap a target. the end of it remains in the hands of the user allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together.
Incantation: "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat!"
12. Ambush Flare (伏火, fushigi)- A net formed from an attachment point on the caster, can be small or large depending ong the reiatsu force behind it.
21. Red Smoke Escape (赤煙遁, sekienton)- Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.
26. Curving Light (曲光, kyakko)- Hides the target from sight, presumably by bending light.
30. Beak-Stab Triple Beam (嘴突三閃, shitotsu ansen)- Shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his/her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.
37. Suspending Star (吊星, tsuriboshi)- Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
39. Arc Shield (円閘扇, enkosen)- Summons a shield of energy to block opponents' attacks.
58. Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows (摑趾追雀, kakushitsuijaku)- Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.
Incantation: Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain.

1. Thrust (衝, shō) -Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai) -Fires a concentrated bolt of white lightning from the caster's forefinger.
11. Bound Lightning (製本雷, tsuzuri raiden) -Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.
31. Shot of Red Fire (赤火砲, shakkahō) -Fires a ball of red fire at a target.
Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south!
33. Blue Fire, Crash Down (蒼火墜, sōkatsui) -Fires a column of blue fire at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.
Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!
54. Abolishing Flames (廃炎, haien) -Fires a blast of purple fire that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.
58. Orchid Sky (闐嵐, tenran) - A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.
