The leekspin is a general reference, not just Vocaloid.
But yeah that was a weird episode.

I wouldnt really call that a vocaloid reference. The spinning leek could come from anywhere. If she had danced with the leek like Miku does then that would have been a reference

Yeah, Caramelldansen is in it too.However, like the other comments said, I wouldn't say its vocaloid reference.Mostly because leekspin wasn't created by vocaloid, its just a meme. ^^;

Leekspin came from when Orihime originally twirled her leek around in Bleach.
Miku stole it.
