A young female with glowing blue orbs for eyes bounced out from behind a tree with enthusiasm. "Ooga Booga Wooga!" she screamed at the top of her lungs trying to frighten the older yearling so that she might get a laugh out of it. Her mama always frightened Herla and got a good chuckle or two out of it so poor Jaelyn was learning from the 'worst'. "I'm here now, Iskra! We can begin our search for Luca's new goody goody!" She bounced her body all the way over to her bestest best friend and nuzzled her unconditionally. She didn't know there were consequences for scaring people to death. Well, if she in fact scared Iskra at all.

The younger of the two yearlings had let a short whimper of pain squeak from the back of her throat as a horn jabbed her in the chest. "Ooouch! Take it easy, Isk!" she let a small sigh pass her lips before she turned that frown upside down. It was always easy from Jaelyn to go from one mood to the other.

At the nuzzling Jaelyn gave her a quick n** on the ear. Nothing hurtful, just playful. "Luca is going to be the LUCKIEST little herla ever. He's sooo fortunate to have awesome friends like us!" she beamed brightly with confidence and bucked her hind legs out with a kick of excitement.

At the mention of the guardian thickets Jaelyn's eyes beamed brightly. "G-guardian thickets? Sounds.... mysteeerious! Oh yes yes! I think we should explore there first!" She bounced up on the tippy tip of her hooves before feeling one buckle forward, causing the rest of her body to topple to the ground. "Oomph... to much excitement. Heheh, so where is this thicket?" She bounced back up onto her feet.

Fragile looking Jaelyn watched her bestie bouncing and couldn't help but feel her tummy bubble with joy. She loved seeing her friends so happy. "Oh you bet I am! I just hope it's not toooo spooky," she gave a fake, violent shiver. Houses? What a silly name for a thicket. What sort of strange things would they find in these thickets called Houses?

"Do you think.... there's goodies for us in there too?" Tilts her head hopefully. Jaelyn has been wanting something of her own to flaunt around for some time now but she doesn't like to steal like her mama wants her to. She likes to ask for things but only if the things she asks for aren't being used by others. She nudged her friend to rush her, wanting to get to the spooky houses.

The glowing female gasped as she saw a blur of fur dash away. "Iskra! HEY! WAIT UP!" She screamed at the other and rushed as quickly as she could after her friend. She dodged tree trunks and low hanging branches, attempting to gain on the other but she had a good head start. Finally, she saw her friend collapse and Jae didn't think to quickly because next thing she knew she was tripping over the laughing Iskra and falling hard on her chest. "Ooh my gosh!" she spoke hoarsely, gasping for the wind that had got knocked out of her.

Once she had enough oxygen she panted from how her lungs burned. "Suuuure, Fuuuun....." she rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face. She couldn't lie, it was pretty funny to see her friend so amused by a thing as simple as running. As her friend tried to spook her Jae only snorted a laugh and bumped her rump against her friend's. "Nice try Isk! I'm not so easily start- AHHH!" she screamed as a dragonfly accidentally bumped into her face and she spat and shook her head violently trying to get it away. She pouted with embarrassment once she realized what it was.

Jaelyn kept a stern face, trying to act as if Iskra's teasing hurt her but she couldn't help herself when her friend had such a contagious laugh. "Hehehe, well... Daddy says I'm just like him. I got long legs. I just need to learn how to use the darn things." She giggled and flailed each one out individually, as if warming them up for the trip. She didn't like the idea of the thickets being filled with bugs. She didn't really enjoy creepy crawlies but she didn't want to look like a fool either. "Pff, bugs? Please, I laugh at your assumption! BWAHAHAH! That buggy only surprised me. I'm not afraid..." she cleared her throat and walked onward with her friend. "It better not take forever to get there. I want to get goodies now!" she smiled brightly at Iskra.

Jaelyn gave a nervous stare before noticing that Iskra wasn't frightened at all by this sort of talk so she bucked up and gave a positive nod. "Yes, we shall! I bet those ones have the bestest goodies inside!" She giggled at her friend and headbutted her friend, "But until we get there... tag!" She gave a rather distinctive loud laugh before running away in the direction of the ruins. Hopefully this game would make the time pass by faster.

Jaelyn laughed excitedly as she broke through the boarder of the forest first, feeling as though she accomplished something amazing. "Yes yes! I win! YESSSS!" She growled out the last part and did a little party dance from victory. She glanced back at Iskra and gave a bright laugh, "Teehee, ooh, you love your horn! You looove it!" She wobbled over to her since her legs were a bit weak from all the running and gave her large horn a nice nuzzle before tugging some vines and twigs off with her teeth. She didn't like seeing her friend all dirty like this.

Jaelyn looked around and gave a gentle sigh as she seemed to grow a bit uncomfortable. "We're here? Yes? I'm tired of running. I wanna hunt for goodies! I do I do! Really, I do." She flipped some hair out of her eyes before getting a better look at their surroundings. Well it definitely didn't look welcoming. There were lots of crumbled up stones and piles of broken doodlebob things. She wasn't to sure on what this stuff was but it looked interesting. She looked over at her friend to get the agreement that they were where they ought to be.
