Avatar, The Chronicles of CMVS
WHOOSH!
During the middle of the tale, a flash flood suddenly sweeps through the campfire, throwing all the travelers to a distant land. No one knows where the flash flood came from, even when they searched in vain. The storyteller took a short break and gathered the group together again. He decided to name the flood "Vane's Flood", after one of the story's characters and for other personal reasons.
"Thank you for rejoining." the storyteller said. "I have some hot tea and towels for everyone. For the new people, there has been a tale passed through generations I am about to tell. The flood has washed away some major details, but I am able to summarize what has happened. Shall we begin?"

Father Spirit Age: Old Gender: Male Bender: Yes (mastered: all) Techniques: None Known Born: Spiritual Lands Personality: Father Spirit may seem like a nice old man who likes to drink tea, but he is the King of the Spiritual Lands, and he seeks to destroy the world inhabited with plague and evil and create anew. Other Characters Grandmother Wenshun- Vane and Coff's grandmother, she was once the lover of Father Spirit, but now strongly disagrees with his plans. She is staying in the Southern Water Tribe to defend her village. Moko- Southern Water Tribe's announcer for events, etc. Elemental Guards- A not so well known group of four "guards", on their own trying to stop the Spiritual Clan. Each guard knows a different element of bending. Chronicle 1 Post 1-19: Recap to Remember
**Author's Note: Sorry for the inconvenience, but Post 1 through 19 will never be written again. Instead, read from this summarized post! Yay!
Foreword: It has been a thousand years since the last Avatar, Star, disappeared from the world. From this chance, a new clan named the Spirit Clan with people called Spiritual Followers or Warriors, decided to rule and destroy the current world full of plague and horrible people. They believe that the spirits wanted them to get rid of the current world and start anew with their power to master all four elements like the Avatar. The first battle including all four nations (fire, water, earth, and air) took place in a city named Guenzheng, famous now for it's ancient library of history and knowledge. Can anyone stop this war? Anyone?
Chronicle 1: Vane and Coff are sisters from the Southern Water Tribe. Their father went off to the Resistance, never to be heard from again. The sisters and other kids are sent to the Earth Kingdom, since Spiritual Followers were to show up on their land soon, and the other nations do not want them to master all the elements. Their grandmother stays behind to defend the village with others.
On the way to the Earth Kingdom, Vane and Coff meets Adren, also a Southern Water Tribe boy. They become friends and Adren joins them.
Darth and his father (Father Spirit) travels for a year in their ship, and Darth mastered only airbending from a monk that unwillingly taught him. After he finished mastering airbending, Father Spirit destroys all the West World's air temples, causing the monks to flee to the temples in the East World.
Vane, Coff, and Adren walks into Tungsten Glens. There Adren stumbles upon a necklace, that when triggered, released Star the Avatar and Bibbles.
Darth and his father lands in the Southern Water Tribe, and Father Spirit finds out that Grandmother Wenshun is actually Kyoko, the love of his life. Grandmother Wenshun sees Father Spirit and calls him Daxo.
Bibbles doesn't like Adren, Star knows only earthbending, and so the group decides to go together to the Northern Water Tribe to learn master waterbending, stopping at Guenzheng along the way to learn of the war's history.
Darth doesn't find a waterbender in the Southern Water Tribe, and departs with his father to go to the Northen Water Tribe. Along the way, they get ambushed by the Elemental Guards, but they left quickly after they realized Darth's power.
The group finds themselves in the two close towns of Miru Rai and Maru Lei. There they meet Sky, and soon her half-brother, Miso.
Darth and his father stop at the Lava Channel Islands where Darth gets a new glider with a blade attached on top.
Sky knows earthbending, so she decides to stay to work in her farm for a little bit before traveling with the group. Miso, however, knows firebending and could help Star.
Darth decides that he needed to learn the history of how the war started, so Father Spirit tells him to go to Guenzheng to study.
Darth leaves and soon arrives to where the team camps.
Miso hears Darth, and soon the two sides engage in a fight. Soon Star's cat Bibbles transforms into a Dragon Cat, rare and almost extinct, and with a rock armor from Star, attacks Darth. Darth is chained in ice, but then melted. His last words were "Here's when I get serious."

Chronicle 1 Post 20: Post-War
"Yahhh!" cried Miso, sending a blast of fire towards Darth.
Darth fired a turbo gust of air on the ground, lifting him up. "I would love to stick around, but I have better things to do." Darth turned around, threw his glider into the air, and flew back towards his ship.
Vane and Star ran back to Coff. "You alright?" Vane asked.
Coff nodded. "Yeah, thanks to Miso." Coff stood up awkwardly. Star rushed to help her up. "Coff, you need to rest."
Coff shook her head. "We need to get to Guenzheng fast. That Darth might come back."
Adren walked towards them. "Are you serious? He chickened out! I'd say we showed that guy who's boss!"
Star punched him lightly. "Not now, Adren!" she whispered.
Vane smiled. "Since you did nothing, Adren, you get to carry Coff."
Adren's mouth dropped. "Why me?"
The team walked through the forest and into clear view of the massive city.
Star sighed. "It has been a while."
Darth landed a few feet before the captain of his ship.
"Sir! Have you finished?" the captain questioned.
Darth shook his head. "Not yet, call my father."
"Yes, Sir!" the captain rushed down the stairs. A few minutes later Father Spirit came out onto the deck.
"Interesting." Father Spirit observed. "You're not done, yet you come back? Why so, Darth?"
Darth looked away. "I have found two of the missing Southern Water Tribe waterbenders."
Father Spirit sighed. "We have been over this. It doesn't matter anymore."
Darth looked back at his father. "They are with the Avatar!"
Father Spirit's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"
Darth nodded. "She had her Dragon Cat with her. She is the Avatar!"
Father Spirit sat in a chair. "Impossible. We locked her up and had her buried off where we found her."
Darth wasn't happy. "In the Tungsten Glens? That place is enormous! But even so, you should locked the pendant somewhere in the Spiritual Lands."
Father Spirit stood up and roared. "That may seem logical but we didn't have the time to do so! You would know more of the reason why if you got to Guenzheng."
Darth settled down. "What are we doing now?"
"Where is the Avatar heading towards?"
"I believe Guenzheng."
Father Spirit exhaled and looked sternly into the sea. "Then that's where we are going."

Chronicle 1 Finale Post 21: Battle of Guenzheng Part 1/4
"Guenzheng!" Vane exclaimed, when the tired and panting team reached the city's gates.
Adren dropped Coff in the corner.
"Oof!" Coff yelled. "Be more gentle, Adren!"
Adren shook his head. "I was, when we were running miles to get there!"
Miso jumped in between. "Shush." he whispered.
Star looked around frantically. "Where's Bibbles?"
Everyone looked around, but couldn't see Bibbles.
Star panicked. "Oh, no! Where did Bibbles go?"
Vane ran. "Split up, he can't have gone far."
The crew split up, and searched for the missing cat.
"Bibbles!" Star yelled. "Bibbles!"
"Bibbbbles!" Vane yelled.
"Bibbly Bowls!" Coff yelled.
"Bibbleees!" Miso yelled.
"You Ugly fat ol' cat come out here!" Adren screamed.
Bibbles hissed and jumped out of a nearby bit and bit Adren.
"Yeow!" Adren yelled. "Guys, I found him!"
Everyone rushed to Adren and Bibbles. Star leaped forward. "Oh! You poor thing!"
Adren stood up. "Thank you, St-" He then saw Star patting her cat.
"Oh, Bibbles! I'm sorry. Where did you go?"
Coff giggled. "Smooth, Adren."
Adren slapped his forehead.
"Heeey!" came a familiar voice from behind. Everyone turned back.
"Sky!" Miso exclaimed. Miso ran to hug Sky. "How'd you find us?"
Sky hugged back. "That cat, Bibbles. Saw him and ran on over. Glad to see you again, bro."
Vane smiled. "How did you get out of the farm?"
Sky tilted her hat so she could see Vane. "Wasn't easy, as I reckon. The old man nearby bursted his top when he saw me leavin'. Thank goodness a friend o' mine from Miru Rai came on by to check on the farm, and I offered her a job babysittin' my pigs and stuff. She was happy to take it!"
Star smiled. "Well, we are all glad you are here."
"You have any milk?" Adren questioned. Everyone laughed. "No, seriously. Have any?"
As the team approached the gates, they were soon blocked on all four sides by earthbenders. The earthbenders all yelled and lifted a small wall to surround the team.
"Whoa, what's this for?" Coff exclaimed.
"It's just for safety and inspections. Nothing much." Miso responded.
"Halt!" yelled an earthbender out front. "State your business."
"We're here to study the history of Guenzheng, sir." Vane politely answered. "If you don't mind."
The earthbender didn't budge. "Under safety city rules we must have an Earth Kingdom citizen represent and show an official Kingdom ritual."
Adren's eyes widened. "What?" he whispered.
Sky responded. "I got this."
Sky went up to the gates. "Herryah!" she yelled.
Sky lifted a small rock and slid it behind her, then above, then below and through her legs. She then twirled around with the rock rotating around her body and soon slammed her feet on the ground, causing the rock to slide through the gates.
The earthbender smiled. "Sky, you never fail to impress me."
Sky laughed. "Oh, Tyson. You knew it was me."
Adren was confused. "Sky? Tyson? What just happened?"
Coff knocked his head. "They know each other." she said slowly. " Can you not understand that?"
Adren shook Coff's hand off. "Yeah, but if they did, what is with the dance?"
Sky strode back. "For fun." she laughed.
Adren drooped and looked at Miso. "Nice sister you got there."
The team went through the city's gates and into the city.
"Wow!" Vane exclaimed. "Pretty nice, this city and all."
Star pointed at the ancient library. "There! Come on, let's go!"
The crew joyfully followed Star and went into the magnificent and enormous library.
"State your busines-Oof!" cried the earthbender.
Darth and Father Spirit stepped near the gates and the injured earthbenders.
"Mmph!" the earthbenders yelled, tied to a concealed tree by Spiritual Warriors.
"You're going to take a nice rest." Darth said, lifting his arms into the air.

Chronicle 1 Post 22: Battle of Guenzheng 2/4
"Check this out!" yelled Vane.
The team was busy studying in the ancient library in Guenzheng,
Star , Sky, and Coff rushed over.
"What?" an anxious Coff asked.
Vane held up the book she was holding. "This tells us everything we need to know."
Adren stumbled over a high pile of books. A few dropped and landed on Miso's foot.
"Ow!" Miso cried out.
"Sorry…" Adren apologized. He then shifted his gaze to a black hooded teenager with sunglasses. "Miso, look there…" Adren pointed.
Miso looked over. "Yeah?"
Adren snorted. "That person is wearing sunglasses in the library. How funny."
Miso looked back to his book. "You're so easily distracted."
"Is that a girl or a boy?"
"I don't know. Who cares?"
The black hooded teenager saw Adren looking at him and quickly darted away. Adren just stared in the space where the teen was.
"Adren! Miso! C'mere!" Star called over. "Listen to this!"
When the boys walked over, Star began to read the book Vane was holding. "The Spiritual Clan was formed under the belief that they were the ones who followed under the rule of the Spirits. It was first created by Avatar Farushan, a fair but unhappy Avatar. Avatar Farushan saw destruction and plague in the world and wanted to end it. To seek help in his quest, he called on the Spirits, who agreed with him and gave him their support. Unfortunately Avatar Farushan died before any major changes were made. The Spiritual Clan he created was thrown into chaos with the Spirits. Arguments rose into two sides on whether the quest was to still be fulfilled. The spirits became angry and eventually decided to give a few legible leaders the powers of the Avatar, to calm them down and finish the quest. Soon after the powers were given the other nations were angry as well. The four elemental nations soon joined up to stop the Spiritual Clan from advancing with their plans. The first and only war happened in the city of Guenzheng, where the Spiritual Clan eventually defeats the combined power of the four nations. And to this day, the Spiritual Clan will stop at no bounds……"
"..To complete the task." Darth interrupted, entering the library.

Chronicle 1 Post 23: Battle of Guenzheng 3/4
"Darth!" Sky cried out, running from the main doorway with Bibbles.
"Yes, yes." Darth smirked. "An Avatar, two waterbenders, and two refugees. An excellent catch."
Adren was aghast. "WHAT ABOUT ME?"
Darth cracked his knuckles. "A peasant as well."
"What do you want from us?" Vane questioned.
"You know so well." Darth commented. "Quit the chit-chat, no?"
Star stepped forward along with Sky and Vane. "Take Coff away, Adren!" Vane shouted.
Adren looked at Miso and nodded. They took Coff and Bibbles and ran out the back doorway.
"Herryah!" Sky called. She lifted a piece of the ground and threw it at Darth. Darth stood still while two spiritual warriors went in front of him and block the rock, crushing it into smithereens. Sky gasped.
Vane stepped forward and bended water out of a water fountain. "Naa!" Vane cried out, swirling the water behind her back and sending it towards Darth. Darth stepped forward and lifted his arms straight, causing the water the split into two and splatter behind him.
Vane puffed. "We need to come up with a plan." she whispered to the other girls.
"I think I have one. Follow my lead." Star whispered back. Vane and Sky nodded.
"Raaahh!" Star yelled, sending earth dust towards Darth and the spiritual warriors. The dust made both sides hard to see.
"Grr!" Darth growled. "Go! Attack!" Darth sent his spiritual warriors to advance.
Star grinned. "Sky, you know what to do."
Sky nodded and closed her eyes. She sensed the motions of the warriors from the earth. "Nyahh!" Sky called out and thrusted her arms out. Throughout the library the warriors were trapped in solid earth, their legs caught in the rocks. Their mere weapons could not free themselves.
Darth growled again and blew the dust away, revealing himself to the girls in the air on his glider. "Your bending won't get me up here." he shouted.
Vane stared and shouted. "Earth might not, but water will!" She then sent ice shards towards Darth. Darth swooped away from the shards and sent out his blade flying towards them.
"Look out!" Sky called, dodging the sharp blade. Vane and Star split from Sky. Sky covered the blade with earth so Darth couldn't retrieve it.
"Why you little…." Darth commented hurdling himself at Sky.
Sky gasped and tried to run, but fell from the lump of earth.
"Sky!" Star and Vane called out. Darth was edging closer.
Soon then two sharp shurikens flew towards Darth's glider and poke it, sending Darth flying towards a wall. "What the…" Darth yelled.
The black hooded teenager jumped down and unmasked her face.
"Thanks… but….who are you?" Sky questioned.
As the teenager took off the mask, long yellowish blonde hair came swooping down. She turned around.
"Name's Charmed. I'm from the ninja village of Kuro Kunai."

FINALE Chronicle 1 Post 24: Battle of Guenzheng 4/4
Star and the others watched as Charmed quickly drew her ninja stars and attach the Spiritual Warriors to the ground.
"Whoa…" Sky commented. "A ninja!"
Charmed then swiftly jumped from furnitures and headed straight towards Darth on his glider. "This is for my family!" Charmed yelled.
Charmed then threw a kunai at the glider, causing it to rip, sending Darth hurdling towards the ground. Darth thrusted his arms out and in, sending air waves onto the ground and back at him, causing him to slow down and land softly.
"Retreat!" Darth commanded. He then saw his warriors stuck to the ground, and grew bright red. He then crouched, and lifted his hands up slowly, allowing his warriors to rise from the ground slowly.
Sky stood ready to attack, but Vane stopped her. "Don't."
Darth and his warriors marched out. He then smirked. "Ready the blasting jelly!"
As the warriors set up the highly flammable jelly around the library, Darth laughed evilly. "I'm not one to give up at all." Darth then stomped his feet and thrusted his arms out, causing the library doors to shut tight.
From the inside, the girls were trapped. "Unngh!" Sky yelled. "It won't budge!"
Star and Vane looked around. "Try the windows!" Vane sent ice shards hurdling towards the windows, but the shards bounced off as it was made of rubber. "No use!" Vane cried.
From the outside Father Spirit walked up to Darth. "This town's takoyaki is delicious!" Father Spirit commented. He then saw Darth and the blasting jelly. "What are you doing?"
Darth smiled. "I will blast this library up. It will hide the history of our clan, and destroy the Avatar and her friends."
Father Spirit was aghast. "No, Darth! The Avatar will only be reborn again, and the hunt will continue!"
Darth looked at his father. "Relax, this is only a small amount. It won't kill them."
Father Spirit shook his head and laughed. "I'll be back on the ship if you need me."
Inside the library, Star looked outside from the windows. "They're going to blast this place up!"
Vane and Sky gasped. "What are we gonna do?" They looked around and didn't see Charmed.
"Charmed isn't here! She must have escaped.. somehow!" Sky yelled. Charmed then appeared from the shadows in the corner.
"I'm still here." she commented.
Sky kneeled on the ground. "No…. this can't be!"
From the outside the Spiritual Warriors finished setting up the jelly. "Fire!" Darth yelled. The spiritual warriors set the jelly on fire, causing it to explode. The library exploded and crumbled.
"Hahaha!" Darth laughed. He then walked back to the ship with his warriors and departed quickly. "Now the obstacle has been…destroyed, let's continue on with the journey."
Back near the library, people gathered around. Earthbenders and rescue teams went into the rubble searching for survivors, but found nobody inside.
