She had wandered farther today than she had in the past. The forest began to get thicker and thicker with trees and undergrowth. Her red eyes flashed as she took in the scene around her. The canopy over head nearly blocked all traces of sunlight that were left in the day. Tightly she tucked in her wings, not wanting them to snag on any branches or bushes, her nostrils flared at an odd scent, it was one she had never come across before. Her heart raced just a bit as she licked her lips, perhaps it was a new prey for dinner.

The Lich was muttering to himself it seemed. He stood between the tree, being mindful of his helm on the branches, muttering. His bones rattled as he chatted, and the chains encircling his... well it wasn't a chest anymore, but the ghostly part of him where it would have been, had he still been alive, jingled. There was a small meow next to his front hooves and he looked down at the Saimese cat in front of him. " Do we have company Mr. Bigglesworth?" he said, his voice chillingly cheerful. The cat meowed again and rubbed his head on KT's leg. He looked around and sniffed. " Your curiosity will be the death of you, my dear."

She stopped suddenly. She would have sworn she had heard a voice nearby. Her ears swiveled as she tried to catch it again, useless.
She snorted slightly as she began to walk again. Her steps silent as she moved. Her mother had taught her well, the hunt was important.
It seemed like the more she moved, the stronger the scent, it was so unusual... mysterious. Her stomach growled. Stopping just short of a thick treeline, Fathom saw what looked to be a glowing figure in the distance. Her head tilted as she studied the object.... What.... What was that?

KT turned slowly, his ethereal body passing effortlessly through the nearby branches. He stood in such a way, a branch actually went into his hip and hung around one of his ribs. And that doesn't include the way his back end seemed to just float at he moved. His cat gave a meow and he pushed him behind a hoof.
The Lich studded the mare. Her eyes and the glowing parts of her attracted his attention first, then onto her wings and spikes. He sniffed again; she didn't have the scent of one long dead and brought back to life. No... she smelled very much alive. He chuckled a little.
"Well now, young one, if your curiosity is going to get your killed anyway, you might as well come a little closer," he said to her, his eye sockets bright.

Her eyes watched curiously as the figured moved and seemed to go straight through the surrounding trees. Her head tilted to one side as he turned to look at her.
He wasn't.. there...She was confused. Her mother had told her of many type of soquili and creatures, but never one such as this. She snorted at his remark, a smirk crossed her face.
"I have no intention of dieing tonight," she took a few careful steps towards the being, her head low and eyes alert. Her muscles where ready to flee at the first sign of trouble from this... this thing.
"What are you?" she inquired slowly, stopping a few paces out of his reach.. she hoped.

He tilted his head to one side. "What am I? Why I'm a lich in service to the great Lich King Arthas. I'm sure there are many of my brethren about, moving corpses or otherwise; we are to take over the entirety of Azeroth and the world beyond. And I am late for a meeting with the good King... though it seems the portal I created to get there malfunctioned... And somehow I ended up in the middle of a forest as part dreadsteed. This is most unsettling." KT had, after the mention of the Lich King, gone off on some random tangent of portals and malfunctioning and completely forgotten about the mare in front of him.
Mr. Bigglesworth let out a mewling sigh and walked under his master's skirt. He had known there was a bloody thing wrong with the summoner's gate, but no, he was a cat and couldn't actually say anything to his master about it. And now, his master looked like a horse. Good grief...

Fathom has the most puzzled look upon her face, surely this stallion was mad? She had no clue as to what he spoke of... portals... Azeroth....
"Have you fallen and hit your head?" she inquired.
Not that she'd really care, but she was curious as to what state of mind he was in.
Suddenly, there was a meow, she recognized THAT scent. Her stomach growled again as she lowered her head sniffing the cat.
"Hello, Pretty"

KT scoffed, cut himself off, and pondered the comment (having come back into reality at her voice) and was just about to say how that couldn't be possible, given his lich status and how he moved through things (Jeez, do none of these young people know anything about the Scourge anymore? He and his brethern weren't doing their jobs it seemed. He made a note to get back on that the moment he reached the Citadel.) but, portal jumping was a freaky thing, and he could have hit his head at some point (he was dead and in service to the Lich King after all) when she spoke to his cat.
Mr. Bigglesworth shivered. This was not a horse he particularly wanted to be around. Hell, he'd rather be floating in his master's hip than being with in sniffing range of the mare with wings. He dashed under his master's skirt... kilt... thing.
"HOW DARE YOU SCARE MR. BIGGLESWORTH! I'LL FREEZE THE BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS!" bellowed KT, rearing up on his skirt.. kilt... thing.

"Oh come now," she snorted and jerked her head up facing the creature. "I just said hello..." her voice faded out. What was he doing, was that meal his pet or something?
"Freeze my blood," she snickered at him and unfurled her wings, her small fangs bared with a smile. "Who says I have blood to freeze," she laughed. Her family was some of the most cold hearted in the soquili lands, she dare anyone to try her. Between sparring with her brother and tutelage from her mother, she felt ready for almost anything.
Taking a steady look over the stallion though, she knew that if he could move through objects that she wouldn't be able to hit him, so she withdrew her comment with a hiss. "Apologies..." she lowered her head.

"You doubt my abilities, young one. I am a lich. I am stronger than your silly little spines," he said slowly, his voice chillingly low. He moved forward, until his skull of a head towered over her. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Never. Doubt my abilities." His eyes began to glow, and the area under his hooves erupted in frost. The air around the mare chilled, and he breathed heavily into her ear, where the bloodvessels were close to the surface.
KT slowly chilled her blood, until it would be painful and a labor on her heart to pump the blood. "And never... approach my cat with the stink of wanting to eat him. Ever. Again." He growled and stopped chilling her, taking a few paces back away from her.

There was a strange sensation moving through her body, she was cold... Sluggish. She listened as the stallion spoke to her, apparently the cat had been more important that she had thought.
One thing was for sure, this stallion was far more powerful than she had suspected him of being. The gears in her mind started turning, she could be of some use... If she could charm him.
She attempted to snort, but her body was so cold that the only thing that resulted was a puff of 'fog' from her nose as it did in the winter when she breathed. What was he?
She slowly lowered her head, a false attempt of showing her respect. "Again....." her teeth almost chattered, "Apologies."

"At least you have sense to apologize. Most just run and attack me. Or you could say you have no sense, the other way around. Hmm... what a predicament that is," he said, shrugging his shoulders, only to have just he chains and his shoulder pads move.
He looked around and turned back to the freezing mare. "Just where are we, exactly?"

"You.... You're in Kawanii" her teeth chattered. It would take a bit for the effects of the stallions powers to wear from her blood. She grunted with discomfort. "Vast lands with many soquili... Winds, Kalona, Skinwalker, Angeni...." she let her voice fade.
"What... What is Azernoth?" she asked. If this stallion -wasn't- crazy, then he had traveled to places she had never even heard of, much less ever traveled to!
"Do you... What else can you do?" her gears continued to turn, she tried to act as modest as she could.

"Kawanii? On which continent is that? The Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimador? And it's Azeroth, not Azernoth. And what else can I do? Why I am a lich! I can raise the dead!" Of course, unknown to our happy little damned necromancer here, the portal jump drained all of his necromancing abilities. But, he doesn't know that.

She again looked puzzled, she had no clue where Azeroth was or what a lich was. He could raise the dead though? An eyebrow arched as she considered this.
"I... I afraid we're in neither. I've never heard of any of the places you have mentioned....." she tried to sound as sincere and sorry as possible.
"Might I ask..." she tried to give a sense of sincere curiousity, not that of one that was plotting for her future. "What is a lich?"
